Dear Parent/Guardian;

Your child has been enrolled in the Fostoria Community Schools kindergarten program for the 2003-04 school year. In order for your child to receive their kindergarten classroom assignment and in compliance with state requirements, all kindergarten children must be screened.

Fostoria Community Schools will host the Kinder Cub Adventure at Longfellow Elementary School on August 18, 19 and 20, 2003. Kinder Cub Adventure is a play-based kindergarten screening required for all entering kindergarten. Your child will participate in the screening activities with five or six other entering kindergarten children. The screening activities will take approximately thirty (30) minutes. You must make an appointment for your child to participate.

A free thumb print and I.D. photo, for safety purposes, will be available complements of Nationwide Insurance, Chris Schiefer’s office.

Call Marcia Miller at 419-435-8163 now to schedule your child’s Kinder Cub Adventure kindergarten screening. Information about kindergarten will be provided to parents during kindergarten screening. Appointments are made on a first come, first served basis. Available appointment times are as follows:

Kindergarten Open House will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2003 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and on Friday, August 22, 2003 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Longfellow Elementary School. Kindergarten classes begin on Monday August 25, 2003.
