CLOUSE, CARL A.
Carl A. Clouse, 87, of 5622 W. CR 6, New Riegel, died Dec. 31, 2002, at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.
 
He was born July 15, 1915, in New Riegel to Stephen and Rosa (Reinhart) Clouse. He married Rosemary Kauffman at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Alvada Jan. 12, 1939. She survives.
 
Also surviving are 10 children: Theresa (Jerry) Gable of Glandorf, Marge (John) Kirian of Tiffin, Mary A. (Barry) Wines of Upper Sandusky, Bob Clouse of Arcadia, Mike (Therese) Clouse and Carol (Bill) Kinn, both of Fostoria, Kenny Clouse of Napoleon, Lenny (Lynn) Clouse and Norm Clouse, both of New Riegel, and Deb Monday of Carey; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Berneda Schalk of Fostoria; and a brother, Paul Clouse of New Riegel.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George and John Clouse.
 
Mr. Clouse was a graduate of New Riegel High School, Class of 1933, and was salutatorian of his class. He was a farmer. He was inducted into the Seneca County Agricultural Hall of Recognition in 1989. He was a representative of the Seneca County ASCS for 18 years and served six years as state president. Mr. Clouse was a member of the St. Nicholas Holy Name Society and served on the parish council. He was a member of the local Catholic Knights of Ohio, Branch 52, for 73 years and was past president. He was a member of the New Riegel Moose Lodge and served on the New Riegel Board of Education for 10 years. Mr. Clouse was also a member of the Seneca Pow-Wows Farm Bureau Advisory Groups. He enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Cleveland Indians baseball fan. He was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Frenchtown..
 
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at St. Nicholas Church with the Rev. Conrad Sutter officiating. Burial will be in
St. Nicholas Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, Tiffin, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church. A Wake Service will be at 8:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A Rosary Service will be at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Catholic Church; C.K. of O. Vocation Fund; St. Nicholas CatholicChurch Masses; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Dieter, Lucille M.

Lucille M. Dieter, 84, formerly of 529 W. North Street, Fostoria, died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2002 in Good Shepherd Home. She was born Feb. 10, 1918 in Fostoria to Meinard Reinhart, he passed away, she then married Clifford Rensch, he died, she then married Elmer Dieter, he also passed away.

Surviving included: two daughters, Mrs. June Kinn of Fostoria, and Ida Crawford of CO.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2003 in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.

Visitation hours are from 6-9 p.m., tonight, at the Hoening Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake service will beheld at 8:30 p.m.


CLOUSE, ROSEMARY
  Mother of Fostorians
 
  NEW RIEGEL -- A funeral Mass for Rosemary C. Clouse, 86, of 5622 W. County Road 6, New  Riegel, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Frenchtown, the Rev.  Conrad Sutter officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
 
  Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, Tiffin, where a wake  service will be held at 8:30 p.m.; and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
 
  Mrs. Clouse died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at Toledo Hospital.
 
  She was born Oct. 25, 1916 in Alvada to William and Lucy (Fraley) Kauffman. She married Carl Clouse  on Jan. 12, 1939 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Alvada, and he died Dec. 31, 2002.
 
  Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Theresa) Gable, Glandorf; Mrs. John (Marge) Kirian, Tiffin;  Mrs. Barry (Mary A.) Wines, Upper Sandusky; Mrs. Bill (Carol) Kinn, Fostoria; and Deb Monday,  Carey; five sons, Bob of Arcadia; Mike of Fostoria; Ken of Napoleon; and Lenny and Norm, both of  New Riegel; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe and Eugene Kauffman, both  of Tiffin; and Donald Kauffman, in Florida; and two sisters, Clara Kramer and Mary Ann Stover, both of  Tiffin.
 
  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Paul "Bud" Kauffman; and four sisters, Esther  Kauffman, Ruth Durdel, Rita Hoover and Helen Topel.
 
  Mrs. Clouse was a homemaker.
 
  She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society, serving as a past  officer; Catholic Knights of Ohio Branch 52; American Legion Auxiliary 354; and Seneca Pow-wows  Farm Bureau advisory groups. She served on the Seneca Township election board for several years.
 
  She graduated from St. Peter's Catholic School, Alvada.
 
  Memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Knights of Ohio Vocation Fund  or a charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, 44883.
CLAGG, FOREST  W.
 
  FOSTORIA -- Forest W. "Frosty" Clagg, 63, of 117 E. Fremont St., Fostoria, died at 1:10 a.m.   Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003 at his residence.
 
  He was born March 10, 1939 in Jackson Township to Leslie and Rosella E. (Durst) Clagg. His mother,  now Rosella E. Ferguson, survives in Fostoria.
 
  Also surviving are two sons, Forest W. Newsome, Inez, Ky.; Anthony Newsome, Wayne; three  daughters, Paula Goble, Inez, Ky.; Tamara Clagg, Findlay; Michelle Hofacker, Fostoria; 12  grandchildren; and four brothers, Dennis L. Ferguson, Ada; Michael Maurice Ferguson, Fostoria; Jack  Leroy Clagg, Mount Carmel, Tenn.; and Stephen P. Clagg, Pickerington.
 
  He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a stepfather, Maurice V. Ferguson.
 
  Mr. Clagg retired from Union Carbide, Fostoria, after 38 years.
 
  He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Fostoria.
 
  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Revs. Donald  R. Goodwin and Terry McBeath officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
 
  Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
 
  Memorials may be made to Arthur James Cancer Center of Ohio State University, Columbus.
DONALDSON, EVALYINE  M.
 
  McCOMB -- Evalyine M. Donaldson, 85, formerly of McComb, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 at Oak  Grove Care Center, Deshler.
 
  She was born Dec. 24, 1917 in Sandusky County to Barney J. and Minerva A. (Kistler) Weller. She  married Wilbert "Red" Donaldson, and they were divorced.
 
  Surviving is a son, Daniel of Deshler.
 
  She was preceded in death by a brother, John Weller; and a sister, Mildred Fruth.
 
  Mrs. Donaldson formerly worked at Fostoria Screw Co.
 
  Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, the Rev.  Kathleen Richards officiating. Burial will be at a later date in McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
 
  Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
 
  Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation.
CHUDZINSKI, PAULINE  M.
Mother of Fostorian
 
Pauline M. Chudzinski (Jan. 18, 1926-Feb. 7, 2003), 77, of 1916 Morrison Rd., Fremont, died Friday afternoon at her home surrounded by her entire family.  Born in Sandusky County to the late Edwin and Ludwina (Steinberger) Molyet on Oct. 15, 1949, she married Daniel Chudzinski at St. Joseph Church in Fremont.
 
Daniel survives along with her children: Anthony (Cathy) Chudzinski, Mrs. Al (Karen) O'Neal, Mark (Judy) Chudzinski, Mrs. Brad (Patty) Culbert, Peter (Joy) Chudzinski, Jacob (Kathy) Chudzinski, and Amy Chudzinski, all of Fremont, Mrs. Michael (Therese) Clouse of Fostoria, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Chudzinski of Swanton, and Barbara (John) Chudzinski of DeFuniak Springs, FL; 22 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers Norbert and Ronald Molyet, both of Fremont, Bernard Molyet of Naples, FL and Donald Molyet of Findlay; and sisters Mary Dickman and Agnes Darr, both of Fremont, Margaret Bradman of Carey, Rita Ralston of Boston, MA and Dorothy Sugar of Pewyn, PA.
 
Preceding Pauline were her son, Frederick Chudzinski; and twin brothers, Paul and Edwin Molyet.
 
Pauline was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, the former Catholic Nurses Club, the Hayes Ohio Star American Quilter, and was a volunteer at Reach to Recovery of the American Red Cross from 1991 to 1998. Pauline was a 1944 graduate of Green Springs High School and received an R.N. degree from Toledo Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1948.

She did nursing at Memorial Hospital in Fremont for two years and was a nurse with the Sandusky County Migrant Clinic. Pauline and her husband were the former co-owners of Chud's Inc. and she was a homemaker. She along with her husband Dan wintered in Gulf Shores, Ala.
 
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Sunday, at the Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, with a Wake service at 3:00p.m.
 
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
 
Memorials may be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church, or to the grade schools at St. Ann's, St. Joseph's or Sacred Heart.
CRAFT, AUDREY  ILENE
 
  Audrey Ilene "Jackie" Craft, 65, of 901 Howard St., Findlay, died at 12:57 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at  Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.
 
  She was born Aug. 18, 1937, in Findlay to Dan and Crystal (Kiger) Wright. She married George Craft  on July 23, 1966, and he survives.
 
  Also surviving are three sons, Don Lauck, Fostoria; David Craft, Fort Campbell, Ky.; and Jason Craft,  Findlay; three daughters, Sandra Stafford, Findlay; and Lora Stevens and Colleen Washburn, both of  McComb; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
 
  She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Wright; and a sister, Colleen Grossman.
 
  Mrs. Craft was a homemaker.
 
  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple  Grove Cemetery.
 
  Visitation will be held from noon to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
 
  Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and American Lung Foundation.
DOE, KRISTOPHER  P.
 
Kristopher P. Doe, 19, of 505 David St., Bettsville, died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born Dec. 4, 1983 in Fostoria to Thadley S. and Denise M. (Minich) Doe, both survive in Bettsville.
 
Other survivors include: paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Joyce Doe of Fostoria; maternal grandmother, Gloria (Soper) Minich of Rockford, OH; a brother, Nicholas J. Doe of Bettsville; three sisters, Shanna Doe of WIS, Tiffany Struble, and Kendra Doe, both of Bettsville.
 
Preceded in death was a maternal grandfather, Paul M. Minich.
 
Mr. Doe was a Class of 2002 graduate of Bettsville High School. He worked for TRM and set modular homes. A member of ATVA, All Terrain Vehicle Association, as he enjoyed riding ATV's with family and friends.
 
Services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003 at Engle Funeral Home of Bettsville, with The Pastor Mike Carnevale officiating. There will be no burial at this time.
 
Visitation hours are from 5-8 p.m., tonight, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
 
Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
CHILCOAT, HELEN LUCILE
 
   Helen Lucile Chilcoat, 91, formerly of Alvada, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at
   Fairhaven Health Care Community, Upper Sandusky.
 
  She was born Aug. 14, 1911 in Washington Township, Hancock County to Park and Dorcas (Elbin)  Graber. She married Charles H. Chilcoat on Nov. 27, 1934, and he died July 13, 1969.
 
  Surviving are three sons, John D. of Pickerington; Charles P. of Wilmington; and Floyd H. of Russelville,  Ark.; a daughter, Lois H. Arnold, Alvada; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
 
  She was preceded in death by three brothers, Amos, Willard and William Howard Graber; and a sister,  Ruth Graber.
 
  Mrs. Chilcoat retired in 1980 as postmistriss of the Alvada Post Office after 22 years.
 
  She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Fostoria.
 
  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, the  Rev. James Michaels officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, near Fostoria.
 
  Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral  home.
 
  Memorials may be made to the church or Fairhaven Health Care Community.
DIAZ-HERNANDEZ, MARIA  C.
 
Maria C. Diaz-Hernandez, 72, of 431 Union Court, Fostoria, died at 1:26 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, in the Toledo Hospital.
 
She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Asherton, Texas, to the late Martin and Ofelia (de la Cruz) Zepeda. She married Epifanio G. Diaz Sr. in 1946. He died Dec. 19, 1974. Then she married Eusebio Hernandez in November 1979. He survives in Fostoria.
 
Also surviving are: nine sons, Eusebio Hernandez of Fostoria, Alfredo Diaz of Fremont, Mario A. Diaz of Fostoria, Ruben Diaz of The Colony, TX, Jesse Diaz of Fostoria, Jose Diaz of The Colony, TX, John Diaz, Rick Diaz, and David Dias, all of Fostoria; two daughters, Rosemary Douglas of Ashland, KY, and Debra Lynn Diaz of Steubenville; a sister, Catalina Mendoza of TX' 35 gramdcjo;drem amd 38 great-grandchildren.
 
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, where a Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria, where a Christian Wake service will take place at 8:30 p.m.
CRUMP, HARRY, JR.
 
  FOSTORIA -- Funeral services for Harry Crump Jr., 79, of 461 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, will be held at 1  p.m. Wednesday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Tonee Morant officiating. Burial will  be in Union Cemetery, Blackfork.
 
  Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until services Wednesday at the funeral home.
 
  Mr. Crump died at 5:36 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003 at Fostoria Community Hospital.
 
  He was born Sept. 22, 1923 in Greenup, Ky. to Harry and Lona (Jackson) Crump Sr. He married  Nancy J. McKeel on May 19, 1956, and she survives.
 
  Also surviving are five sons, Paul Phillips, Sarasota, Fla.; Geoffrey Lynn and Gregory Mark Phillips and  Brian Thomas Crump, all of Findlay; Timothy Clark Crump, Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters,  Gretchen Suzette Crump, Findlay; Yvette Michelle Dohanos and Marsha Colette Akpan, both of  Fostoria; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, James W. of Blackfork; Thurman  and Joseph, both of Gahanna; Clarence Raymond of Fostoria; and five sisters, Ethel Mae Cosby,  Greenup, Ky.; and Pauline Frances Scott, Lois and Connie Crump, and Dorothy Moss, all of Gahanna.
 
  He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce William; an infant son; a brother, Carl; and a sister, Treava  Crump.
 
  Mr. Crump retired in 1990 from General Dynamics (Lima Tank Plant) after 30 years.
 
  He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Blackfork, VFW and United Auto Workers.

CALMES-FOLTZ, FLORENCE  P.
 
FOSTORIA -- Florence P. Calmes-Foltz, 91, of Fostoria, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003 at  Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
 
  She was born June 16, 1911 in Fostoria to Joseph and Mathilda (Kirian) Welly. She married Nicholas  D. Calmes in 1931 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Bascom, and he died June 27, 1945. She married  Leo D. Foltz in 1957 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and he died July 30, 1972.
 
  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Geraldine M.) Brubaker, Fostoria; six grandchildren; two
  step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Emma Welch, Fredericktown; and Mary  Doogs, Fostoria.
 
  She was preceded in death by three sons, Richard Lewis Calmes, Lewis Richard Calmes and Gerald N.  Calmes; three grandchildren; four brothers, Eugene, Raymond, Elmer and Alfred Welly; and three sisters,  Rose Reiter, Helen Reiter and Rita Hemminger.
 
  Mrs. Calmes-Foltz retired from the cafeteria atUnion Carbine Co., Fostoria, after 28 years. She also  worked at Fostoria Screw Co.
 
  She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society; Women's Club; Senior  Citizen's Center; and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
 
  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the  parish cemetery.
 
  Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a CLC  memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. and a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited  at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

CRAVENS-ROBERTS, MARY ANN
  Mother of Fostorian
 
  Funeral services for Mary Ann Cravens-Roberts, 82, a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living, and formerly  of Stonehedge Drive, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial  will be in Van Horn Cemetery, Vanlue.
 
  Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until services Tuesday at the funeral home.
 
  Mrs. Cravens-Roberts died at 5:40 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2003 at her residence.
 
  She was born April 4, 1920 in Vanlue to Garrett and Florence (Wisely) Miller. Her mother survives in  Findlay. She married Ralph H. Cravens in 1945 in Vanlue, and he died in March 1970. She later married  James C. Roberts in 1973, and he died in August 1993.
 
  Surviving are a son, Joe H. Cravens, Fostoria; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister,  Donna Mae Bibler, Rawson.
 
  She was preceded in death by a son, Steven R. Cravens; an infant daughter, a brother, Ivan Miller; and a  sister, Ina Ruth Mosier.
 
  Mrs. Cravens-Roberts retired as office manager of Neale-Phyper-Graham-Fine Insurance, Toledo, after  25 years. She also had worked at Howard Johnson, Toledo; and Fostoria Screw Factory.
 
  She was a graduate of Vanlue High School.
 
  She was a member of Trilby United Methodist Church, Toledo; and attended Stonebridge Church of  God, Findlay.

  FOSTORIA -- Funeral services for Lois E. Clauss, 73, of North Township Road 63, Fostoria, will be  held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Donald Goodwin  officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
 
  Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
 
  Mrs. Clauss died at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003 at her residence.
 
  She was born June 23, 1929 in Seneca County to Henery D. and Ella O. (Wilcox) Boyd. She married  George Clauss on March 28, 1948 in Risingsun, and he survives.
 
  Also surviving are three sons, David and Robert, both of Fostoria; and Michael of Adrian; five
  grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
 
  She was preceded in death by a son, Norman; and a daughter, Judith E. Clauss.
 
  Mrs. Clauss was a homemaker.
 
  She was a 1947 graduate of Jackson Liberty High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
 
  She formerly volunteered at Fostoria Community Hospital.

  FOSTORIA -- Victor Corbin, 46, of 220 E. High St., Fostoria, died of natural causes at 11:05 a.m.  Sunday, April 6, 2003 at his residence.
 
  He was born Nov. 28, 1956 in Bowling Green to Franklin and Daisy (Garner) Corbin.
 
  Surviving are two daughters, Melanie Corbin, Cygnet; Tiffany Corbin, in Kentucky; a son, Victor Lee, in  Kentucky; four grandchildren; four brothers, James in Tennessee; Bill and Frankin, both of Fostoria;  Randy of Findlay; and three stepbrothers, John and Rodney Taulker, both of Bradner; and Howard  Taulker, Fostoria.
 
  He was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Rick Taulker; and a stepmother, Nancy Corbin.
 
  Mr. Corbin was a machine operator and factory laborer.
 
  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. James  St. Clair officiating. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria.
 
  Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Cornelius, Donna (Gibat)

Donna E Cornelius a long time resident of Monac Drive in Toledo, passed away at The Toledo Hospital on Friday November 1, 2002
 
She was born in Fostoria, Ohio and came to Toledo in 1951. She was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for over 40 years.  She founded Good Shepherd Christian Singles in 1977 and was active in it until her marriage to Jerry in 1979.  She graduated from Fostoira High School in1943
 
Donna was an enthusiastic runner and participated in many races, including several marathons.  She took 1st place in most of the races she entered. 
 
Donna was a secretary at Owens Illinois for many years and she retired in 1982.  Donna and her husband opened Rainbow One Hour Photo in 1986 and they operated it until 2001.
 
Donna is survived by her husband, Jerry, four of her children, Blain Wilson, Duane (Linda) Wilson, Diana (Steve) Slaughter and Brian Wilson, five stepchildren, Kathleen (Gary) Smith, Kristina (Kenneth) Houstin, Randall Cornelius, Laurie Cornelius and Bradley Cornelius, ten grandchildren.  Brothers Albert Gibat, Norman and Kathleen Gibat, Rosella Hladky and several nieces and nephews.
 
Friends may call at the Foth-Dorfmeyer Mortuary, 3815 Sylvania Ave. (between Monroe St. & Talmadge Rd.) Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
 
Funeral services will be held Tuesday from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 11 a.m.  Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Chapman, Robert

Robert George Chapman, 84, of Bedford, Va., and formerly of Fostoria, died Saturday, March 22, 2003, in Virginia.

He was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Coldwater, Mich., to George F. and Alma (Rice) Chapman. They are deceased.

He married Kathleen Burggraf. She survives.

Also surviving are: a daughter, Barbara Kowalyk of Aurora; a brother, Dan B. Chapman of Ventura, Calif.; a sister, Mildred Smith of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two grandchildren, three step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

Mr. Chapman was a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran, serving in the 13th Division.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. April 21 in Emma Pillars Garden of Memory, Fountain Cemetery, where the United Veterans of Fostoria will conduct military honors, and the Fostoria Elk Lodge will conduct memorial services.

Family will receive friends following the service at the Fostoria Elks Lodge.


Dixon, Eugene "Gene" P.

Eugene "Gene" P. Dixon, age 78, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2003, at his home surrounded by his family. Gene was born March 29, 1925, to Harrold L. and Francine (Hill) Dixon in Fostoria, Ohio.
 
 He was a WWII US Navy Veteran serving with the "Seabees". Gene retired from Data Card after 40 years as a service technician. After retiring, Gene became an avid mall-walker and gardner. He was also a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Most importantly, Gene enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Harlowe Dixon, and sister, Sharon (Dixon) Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce "Peg" (Swanger) Dixon; sons, Douglas Dixon, Daryl Dixon, Doyle Dixon, and Drew Dixon, and daughter, Diane Dixon; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild due in June; sister, Beverly (Norm) Trumbo of Tecumseh, MI, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) and Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 Laskey Rd. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Charles Vermilyea. Dull, Dorothy A.

Dorothy A. Dull, 70, of 12 Grace St., Tiffin, died Tuesday afternoon, April 15, 2003, at her home.

She was born July 29, 1932, in Sawyer, Ky., to George and Minnie Perry. She married Denton Goodin, Jr., and they are divorced, she then married Donald (Elmer) Dull Jr. on July 17, 1965, in Tiffin. He survives.

Also surviving are: three sons, James (Pearl) Goodin of Parkers Lake, Ky., Jeffery (Anne) Goodin of Bucyrus, and Harold (Brenda) Goodin of Nettleton, Miss.; four daughters, Betty (Wendelin) Reinhart of Bloomville, Shirley (Kenneth) Emahiser of Fostoria, Kate (Larry Emahiser of Risingsun, and Rose (Thomas) Whitney of Sanford, Fla., and a step daughter, Cheryl Wilson of Tiffin; a brother, Thomas Perry of Tiffin; a twin sister, Ortha Cougar of Bucyrus; 25 grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Preston, Ancil and Coy Perry; and three sisters, Hazel Feight, Lucy Nelson, and Ethel Keith; and a great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Dull was a member of the Green Springs United Baptist Church.

The funeral will be 11 a. m. Friday, April 18, 2003, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, with the Rev. David Spradlin officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Opal M. Davis, 83, of Winebrenner Village, Findlay, formerly of 546 Hedges St., Tiffin, died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, in Winebrenner Village.
 
She was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Roseville, to Ira H. and Jenny (Wood) Miller. They are deceased.
On Dec. 10, 1939, she married Donald R. Davis in Maysville, Ky. He preceded her in death.
 
Surviving are: a daughter, Vicki Corfman of Findlay; two grandchildren, Nikole Jones of Dublin and Heather Myers of Fostoria; and five great-grandchildren.
 
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Thurman Miller and Wilbur Miller.
 
Mrs. Davis was the business manager for Ballreich Potato Chips and Montgomery Ward Dept. Store.
 
She was a member of the Eastern Star and Business and Professional Women of Tiffin. She was a graduate of Roseville High School in Roseville.
 
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home in Tiffin with the Rev. Russell Gumm officiating. There will be no burial at this time.
 
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Craley, George P.

George P. Craley, 86, of E. Lytle St., Fostoria, died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at his home.

He was born March 4, 1917, in Brooklyn, Iowa, to the late Leroy and Georgia (Frankfather) Craley. On Feb. 3, 1945, in Findlay, he married Edna M. Biddle. She died September 14, 1993.

Surviving are: two sons, Phillip Craley of Fostoria and Richard Craley of Wapakoneta; three daughters, Geraldine Smith and Patricia Smith, both of Fostoria, and Phyllis Dysinger of Cable, Ohio; two sisters, Charlotte Rumschlage, of Fostoria and Connie Shepherd, of North Star, Mich.; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Craley was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, West Independence, with Military Honors provided by the Joint Veterans Group of Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.


Claypool, Daniel Gene
 
Daniel Gene Claypool, 72, formerly of 50 N. TR 207, Tiffin, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, in the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where he resided.
 
He was born April 21, 1930, in Fostoria, to the late Daniel Cecil and Leon (Hayfield) Claypool. His wife, Verna May Boucher, whom he married Aug. 20, 1950, in Ebenezer United Bretheran Church, Fostoria, survives.
 
A sister, Barbara Loeffer of Fostoria, also survives.
 
Mr. Claypool, a 1948 graduate of Fostoria High School, retired from the Seneca County Engineers Department, where he was superintendent of county roads. He also worked for Sherwin Williams in Tiffin for 23 years. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 169, Model T. Ford Club, the Seneca County
 
Historical Society and a former member of the Rotary Club.
 
He served in the U.S. Army Ohio National Guard during the Korean Conflict.
 
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, in Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Scott Hayward officiating.
 
There will be no visitation. The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

FOSTORIA -- Sailia Ann Chavez, 59, of N. TR 21, Fostoria, died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at St. Catherine's Care Center in Fostoria.
 
She was born Aug. 8, 1943, to the late Mathew and Ruth (Johnson) Chavez.
 
Surviving are: a brother, William Fillhart of Fostoria; and two sisters, Verna Malagon of Fostoria and Carolyn Chavez of Albuquerque, N. Mex.
 
Services were private. Burial was in Fountain Cemetery.

FOSTORIA -- Bernadette J. Cassidy, 87, of Independence House, in Fostoria, died at 6:18 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, in the Independence House.
 
She was born Sept. 26, 1915, in Bristow, Ind., to the late Jerome and Leonia (Delaisse) Goffinet-Cassidy.
 
Surviving are: a brother, Carl E. Cassidy of Fostoria; and a sister, Loretta Hagedorn, of Evanston, Ind.

Dauterman, Dallas P.

Dallas P. Dauterman, 70, of Risingsun, died at 2:23 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born Jan. 9, 1933, in Fostoria, to Virgil and E. Bonwava (Ulsh) Dauterman. On Aug. 11, 1956, in Angola, Ind., he married Emily Ann Forristell. She survives in Risingsun.

Also surviving are: four sons, Dallas F. Dauterman of Risingsun, Thomas R. Dauterman of Madrid, Spain, John E. Dauterman of Wauseon and David S. Dauterman of Risingsun; two daughters, Joan E. Griscom of Columbus and Sharon A. Rieff-Stein of Risingsun; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip Q. Dauterman of Richwood and James L. Dauterman of Fostoria; and a sister, Ida Sue Young of Amsden.

Mr. Dauterman was a U.S. Army 7th Division veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens in Arcadia, preceded by military graveside rites conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Sophia Cantu, Junction, Texas; a son Felix Cantu Jr., Fostoria; a daughter, Veronica Martin, Adel, Ga.l a brother, Eloy Cantu, Laredo, Texas; Five sisters, Estella Cantu, and Aurora Cantu, both of Detroit Mich.; Theresa Moses Taylor Mich.; Rosa Swaney and Dora Cantu, both of Greenville Tenn. and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.

Visitation will precede the service from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. burial will be at Memorial Park Lima at a later date.

Samuel Arthur Copus, 70, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at his residence.

He is a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and member of Eagles #2118. He Retired from Bendix-Autolite in Fostoria, Ohio in 1994, and was formally a Barber for Lee's Barber Shop in Findlay.

He is survived by loving wife Patricia L. (Romick) and they married October 7. 1954 in Hancock Co.; son David A. Copus of Orem, Utah; daughter Mrs. John (Susan M.) Waller of Yorktown, VA.; brother John L. Copus of Findlay; sisters Mrs. Floyd (Mary) Benjamin, and Ruth Kettlewell both of Findlay; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 step-grandson.

He is preceded in death by parents Clarence A. and Gladys (Snyder) Copus.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2003 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May, 17, 2003. Pastor Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will be in Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren, Ohio.

FOSTORIA-Herman J. Cramer, 79, of 11131 Autumn Lane, Fostoria, died Wednesday morning at his home, May 21, 2003.

He was born July 23, 1923, in Germany, to Ralph and Maria (Wittelsberger) Cramer. On Oct. 28, 1950, in Arenberg, Germany, he married Franziska Weisbrod.

Surviving are: his wife, Franziska Cramer of Fostoria; a son, Werner B. (Sandra) Cramer of Findlay; a daughter, Mrs. Robert D. (Maria R.) Pope of Fostoria; three grandchildren, Melissa M. and Christopher Hutchinson, and Patrick E. Pope; three brothers, Werner Cramer and Josef Cramer, both of Fostoria, and Al Cramer of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three sisters, Rosa Eckhardt of Fostoria, Anna Bach of Delaware and Elfriede Stahl of Risingsun.

Preceding him in death were; his parents, Ralph and Maria Cramer; and two sisters, Margarete Jochem and Erika Cramer.

Mr. Cramer was the owner and operator of "Cramer Mold Shop" in Fostoria, where he was a Master Mold Maker from 1956-1988,

He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Riegel. During World War II, he was in the German Army where he served in the Russian Front.

Mr. Cramer was a handyman who loved camping across the United States.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 Friday in St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Riegel where a Rosary will be prayed at 10:15 p.m. The Father Leonard Kistler C.PP.S. will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria, 419-435-8200, where a Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 p.m. with Father Harry Cavanaugh C.PP.S. officiating.

Cooper, Joyce A.

Joyce A. Cooper, 66, of CR 11, Risingsun, died at 12:20 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2003, at her home.

She was born April 4, 1937, in Fostoria to Harry and Rachel (Greene) Purdy. They are deceased. She married Ronald D. Cooper Aug. 6, 1955, in Fostoria. He died Aug. 13, 1988.

Survivors include: four sons, Terry, Harry and Larry all of Risingsun, and Jarrod Jay of Fostoria; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with burial in Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.


Dildine, Willliam O.

William O. Dildine, 54, of St. Francis Home, formerly of 278 N. Sandusky St., Tiffin, died at 1:05 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2003, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

He was born Jan. 21, 1949, in Tiffin, to Robert E. and Helen (Sherman) Dildine.

Surviving are: his mother, Helen Dildine; a brother, Robert P. Dildine of San Antonio, Texas; and two sisters, Mrs. Jerry (Rebecca Ann) Dunn of Fostoria and Mrs. Keith (Mary C.) Niederkohr of Luckey.

Preceding him in death was his father, Robert Dildine.

Mr. Dildine was a lifelong resident of Tiffin and was a graduate of Columbian High School, Class of 1967. He received an associate's degree in accounting from Tiffin University.

Mr. Dildine was a member and former treasurer of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home in Tiffin. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

F. Charline Depinet, 60, of TR 10, Findlay, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, June 1, 2003, at her residence.

She was born July 15, 1942, in Fostoria, to Charles H. and Maxine (Wilcox) Putman. Her mother, now Maxine DeLong, survives in Fostoria. On May 16, 1964, She married Raymond T. Depinet. He survives.

Also surviving are: a son, Bruce A. Depinet of Findlay; a daughter, Kathy Sue Chastain of Massillon; and two sisters, Kay Wilson of Tiffin and Darlene Willard of Auburn, Ind.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Dearsman, Henry J.

FOSTORIA -- Henry J. Dearsman, 70, of Fifth Avenue, Fostoria, died at 2:55 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2003, at St. Catherine's Care Center in Fostoria.

He was born Dec. 24, 1932, in Fremont to Homer and Delphine (LeJeune) Dearsman, and they are deceased. He married Lois Reese June 17, 1961, in Fostoria, and they were divorced.

Survivors include: two sons, Christopher of Fostoria, and David of Findlay; two daughters, Carol Black of Fostoria, and Debbie Hammer of Burgoon; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Dearsman of Colorado, Maxine Nicholas of Willard, and Doris Shaull of Tiffin.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria with burial in Seneca Memory Gardens where military honors will be conducted by the Joint Veterans Group of Fostoria.

Droll, Carl W.

FOSTORIA -- Carl W. Droll, 79, of 1020 Sandusky St., Fostoria, died at 3:11 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Independence House in Fostoria.

He was born May 8, 1924, in Cloverdale, to the late Raymond K. and Mary B. (Stretker) Droll. On Aug. 21, 1948, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont, he married Mary Margaret Leite. She survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are: two sons, Gregory J. (Nancy) Droll of New Concord and David B. Droll of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Troy (Cynthia M.) Bogner of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Samuel and Clint Bogner, Marty and Megan Droll; three brothers, James Droll of Mesa, Ariz., Gerald Droll of Fostoria, Thomas Droll of Warrington, Pa.; and a sister Mrs. Robert (Donna) Ewald of Findlay.

Preceding him in death were: an infant brother, Roger Droll, and a sister, Millie Scheidhauer.

Mr. Droll owned and operated Carl's Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Fostoria, which he started in 1974 and operated through 1988. He also worked for 30 years for Nye's Implement, Fostoria, in refrigeration.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus Council 1197 in Fostoria, and St. Joseph's Rosary Society in Fremont.

Mr. Droll was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in Squadron 38 in the European African Middle Eastern Campaign.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, where the United Veterans of Fostoria will conduct military honors.

Dull, John O'Neal

FOSTORIA -- John O'Neal Dull, 84, of Fostoria, died at 3:20 A.M., Friday, June 13, 2003 at his residence. Born Dec. 20, 1918 in Liberty Twp., Seneca Co., Ohio to John Henry and Mary Eva (Briggs) Dull, he married Wanda Marguerite Clark on Oct. 23, 1960 in Fostoria, and she survives.

Also surviving are: six daughters, Jean Winter, Little Rock, Ark., Marcia Johnston , Detroit, MI, Judy Reiter, Tiffin, Rosemary Dull, Tiffin, Deborah Johnson, Tiffin, and Dena Strait, Green Springs; two sons, John Joe Dull, Fostoria, and Breck O. Dull, Mildenhall AFB, England; two step sons, Dennis and Mark Hall, both of Fostoria; 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; and one sister, Dahlia Belle Borer, Port Charlotte, FL. He was preceded in death by: his parents, six brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Dull retired in 1984 from Fostoria Community Schools where he was a Vocational Auto Mechanics Teacher. He also operated Johnny's Mobil Service from 1960-65 and was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was an active member of High Street United Methodist Church, Fostoria, serving as Administrative Board Chair, Lay Leader, Liturgist, and Usher. Mr. Dull was a member of the American Federation of Musicians and the Lamplighters Dance Board; he was a member and Past President of the Fostoria Lions Club; member and Past Master of Fostoria Lodge #288 F&AM; member of Toledo Consistory, 32nd Degree Mason; member of Zenobia Shrine, Toledo and the Zenobia Jeepsters; he was a former member of the Fostoria Vanguards; and former member and Past President of the Fostoria Shrine Club.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. The United Veterans of Fostoria will conduct military rites immediately following services. Interment Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home where Masonic Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Clinger, Ruby Mae

FOSTORIA -- Ruby Mae Clinger, 91, of Fostoria, died at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at The Toledo Hospital.

She was born Nov. 10, 1911, in Bloomdale, to the late Fred A. and Anna Elizabeth (Singer) Flaugher. She married George Ralph Clinger in 1936. He died in 1963.

Surviving are: two daughters, Janice M. McCuen of Westerville and Linda J. Hammer of Fostoria; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Heiserman of Ashburn, Va.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Knollcrest Gardens in Arcadia, with burial to follow. Visitation will be private.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at the Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria.

Collins, Mildred

FOSTORIA -- Mildred Collins, 82, of Stoner Road, Fostoria, died at 4:53 a.m. at Fostoria Community Hospital Monday, June 23, 2003.

She was born March 3, 1921, in Brave, Pa., to the late John and Etta (Tustin) Cox. She married Lester Moore.

He is deceased.

She then married Robert Collins July 8, 1977, in Monroe, Mich.

Surviving are: her husband, Robert Collins of Fostoria; three daughters, Janice Marley of Fostoria, Betty Ellis of Dundee, Fla., and Barbara Zimmerman of Wauseon; a brother, Lloyd Cox of Cortland; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, near Arcadia.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.


Cahill, Marjorie M.

Marjorie M. Cahill, 78, of 103 Longfellow Drive, Tiffin, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at her son's home.

She was born Sept. 18, 1924, in Deunquat to the late Harry and Edith Marie (Saum) Weaver. On July 5, 1946, in Russell, Ky., she married Charles E. Cahill. He died Aug. 8, 1976.

Surviving are: children, Carl E. (Linda L.) Cahill of Tiffin, twins, Kenneth J. (Chris) Cahill and Kathleen J. (Thomas) Courtney, both of Tiffin, Marcia I. (Mark) Liggett of Bettsville, twins, Daniel L. (Sandy) Cahill and Donald L. (Julie) Cahill, both of Tiffin; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise (Raymond) Roberts of Gadsden, Ala., and Janet (John) Paul of Fostoria.

Mrs. Cahill was a line supervisor at Tiffin Glass House. She also worked at Virginia Lee Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Daughters of America and St. Paul's Methodist Church.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Blevins officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Clouse, Florence A.

Florence A. Clouse, 79, of 400 Main St. Tiffin, died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003, in Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

She was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Custar, to Harry and Flora (Bond) Geren. On Feb. 26, 1944, in St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, she married Richard Clouse. He survives.

Also surviving are: two sons, Arthur (Sandra) Clouse of Marion and Jeffrey (Cindy) Clouse of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a daughter, Linda Grouls of Toledo; five grandchildren, Richard Clouse, Christopher Oswalt, David Grouls, Angela Clouse, and Carrie Clouse; two great-grandchildren, Stacia and C.J. Oswalt; a brother, Eugene Geren of Tiffin; and a sister, Annabelle Swartz of Cygnet.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Doris Welly.

Mrs. Clouse was a graduate of Arcadia High School. She retired from St. Francis Nursing Home, where she had worked as a nurse's aide.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin.

The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. James K. Say officiating. The rosary will be recited at 10:45 a.m. in the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

John "Jack" E. Creeger, 76, of Batesville, Ind., died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Margaret Mary Hospital.

He was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Tiffin, to the late William and Clara (Carmichael) Creeger. On Feb. 14, 1966, in Taylersville, Ind., he married Victoria Lee (Schumacher) Creeger. She survives in Batesville, Ind.

Also surviving are: four daughters, Shawn Claire Holtel of Oldenburg, Ind., Tracy Laine Struewing of Batesville, Ind., Melody Lynn Hunt of Sand Point, Idaho, and Alisa Rae Eyre of Spokane, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, William Creeger of Risingsun, Md.; and two sisters, Eula Norris of Fostoria and Vera Elizabeth Machin of Rockport, Ind.

Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, Ind. Burial will be in St. Louis Church Cemetery.

Duran, Francisca

Francisca "Frances" Duran, 85, of Spruce St., Fostoria, died at 9:42 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2003, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

She was born Sept. 2, 1917, in Cameron, Texas, to Jose and Lina (Lopez) Bernal. She first married Raymundo Flores in June of 1936, in San Antonio, Texas. He died July 24, 1945. She married Ralph Duran Aug. 13, 1955, in Fostoria. He died Dec. 13, 1991.

Surviving are: two sons, Raymond Flores of Fostoria and Edward Flores of Findlay; four daughters, Helen Lozano of Toledo, Olga Lee and Maria Flores, both of Fostoria, Angie Pedraza of Miami, Fla.; 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Adan Bernal of Fort Worth, Texas; and a sister, Genobeba Becerra of San Antonio, Texas.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

DeVanna, Loyola B.

Loyola B. (Hoffman) DeVanna, 84, of W. TR 36, Kansas, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, in Valley View Healthcare Center.

She was born July 27, 1919, in Sandusky County, to the late William and Lucy (Miller) Hoffman, and raised by her late step mother, Maude Hoffman. She married Norbert J. DeVanna Sept. 14, 1947, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died in April 1991.
Surviving are: two daughters, Mary Ann Sorg of rural Tiffin and Rose Findley of rural Fostoria; a sister, Mildred Nieset of Fremont; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in Kansas. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Millersville.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home in Fremont.


DiCesare, Mary J. 'Mitzi'

FOSTORIA -- Mary J. "Mitzi" DiCesare, 78, of 115 E. High St., Fostoria, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.

Surviving are two sisters, Julia A. DiCesare and Loretta "Poppie" Groves, both of Fostoria.

Crabtree, Lewis

FOSTORIA -- Lewis Crabtree, 86, of Fostoria, died peacefully on Friday evening, Aug. 15, 2003, at his daughter's residence in Fostoria.

Born June 28, 1917, in Raleigh, N.C., to the late Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Lyndon) Crabtree, he married Ingeborg Robbins Feb. 14, 1958, in Fostoria. She died Aug. 14, 1997.
Mr. Crabtree is survived by: a son, L. Brent Crabtree of Fostoria; a stepson, Larry G. Robbins of Indiana; and a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Iris) Schmenk of Fostoria; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Crabtree of Garner, N.C., and Fred Crabtree of Tiffin; and a stepsister, Iris Anderson of Greenville, N.C.

He was also preceded in death by: a stepson, Gerd Robbins; a brother, John D. Crabtree; and a grandchild.

Mr. Crabtree retired in 1989 after 52 years with the Gray Printing Co., Fostoria, where he was a linotype operator and foreman. He was a graduate of the Junior Order Home, Tiffin, and was a former member of the Fostoria Lions Club. Mr. Crabtree was able to spend his final months in his daughter's home enjoying family, especially his great-grandson, Joshua.

Friends may call at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, where funeral services will take place Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Donald Goodwin will officiate. Interment will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Born May 28, 1921 in Sassafras, Ind., to Anthony E. and Anna S. (Hubert) Holman, she married Richard J. "Bud" Droll on Oct. 29, 1946 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church and he survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Nancy) Fry Jr., Valrico, Fla.; two sons, Daniel and Michael (Leslie), both of Fostoria; three sisters, Mrs. Martin (Cecelia) Droll, Fostoria; Katie Mosier, Fostoria; and Mary Kinn, Bluffton; three brothers, Allen and Tony Holman, both of Fostoria; and Omer Holman, Oregon, Ohio; three grandchildren, Dana and Katie Droll, and Angela Dessausure; and a great granddaughter, Jaden Dessausure.

Preceding her in death are four brothers, Carl, Herman, Porter and Leonard Holman.

A homemaker and secretary for Drolls Refrigeration, Fostoria, for many years, she was a faithful member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, and was devoted to her family.

Distel, Shannon

MURRIETA, Calif. -- A memorial service for Shannon L. Distel, 31, of Murrieta, Calif., will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Distel died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003 in Riverside, Calif., from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

Born Aug. 7, 1972 in Fostoria to Mark and Cindy (Jordan) Distel, and they survive in Fostoria, he married Deanna Lynn McCullah on Nov. 23, 2002 in Murrieta, Calif., and she survives.

Also surviving are four children, Brionna and Brody Distel, and Savannah and Tucker Wetherbee, all at home; a sister, Lindsay Distel, in New Jersey; a brother, Brandon of Fostoria; grandparents, Virginia (Jordan) and Walter Kramb, and Chuck and Janet Rahrig, all of Fostoria; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death are two grandfathers, Frank Jordan and Harvey Distel.

A 1990 graduate of Fostoria High School, he served his country until 1996 in the United States Marine Corps as an Air Traffic controller, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was then employed by the Department of Defense as an Air Traffic controller until March 1997. He then joined the California Highway Patrol in 1997, graduating from the Academy in Sept. of 1997 and was assigned to the California Highway Patrol, South Los Angeles, which included motorcycle duty. In May of 2002 he transferred to the CHP Riverside Area office where he was a motor officer.

Dutton, Wahneta

FOSTORIA -- Wahneta A. Dutton, 86, formerly of 3081 Co. Rd. 23, Fostoria, died at 9:14 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003 at Independence House, Fostoria.
She was born June 3, 1917 in Delaware Township, Hancock County, to Charles and Gladys (Rex) Stauffer. She married Glenn Dutton on March 9, 1941 at her parents' home near Mt. Blanchard, and he survives.

Also surviving are a son, John J. ( Mary) of Hamilton, Ind.; a daughter, Linda L. (James A.) Rhoten, rural Arcadia; and a sister, Mrs. Jeannette (Gerald) Trout, Ada; five grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel D.; a brother, Leroy Stauffer; a sister, Louise Stauffer; and one grandchild, James L. Rhoten.

Mrs. Dutton was a retired School Teacher previously teaching in the McCutchensville, Mt. Blanchard, and Arcadia school districts. Wahneta was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church, serving as Sunday School Teacher, and Lay Liturgist, Hancock County, Ohio, and National Education Associations, and a board member of the Hancock County Handicap Society.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Arcadia United Methodist Church, the Rev. Michael N. Malcosky and David Noel Lay Leader officiating. Burial will be in Arcadia Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, and an hour prior to service at the church.

Conley, Richelle

Richelle "Shelly" Dene Conley, 48, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

She was born March 20, 1955 in Findlay to Richard Roy and Lois Irene (Pore) Beckwith and her mother survives in Findlay.

Also surviving are two daughters, Christena Truman, Findlay; and Shannon (Dan) Martin, Fostoria; two sons, James (Amber) Beckwith, Findlay; and Shawn Conley (April) of Bloomdale; two brothers, Carl (Rebecca) Beckwith, in Montana; and Gary Beckwith, Findlay; three sisters, Linda (Keith) Orians, North Baltimore; and Daliece (Larry) Frederick and Nannette Helberg, both of Findlay; six grandchildren, Michael, C'aira, Mariah, Zachary, Dan, Jr., and Hunter; and a loving companion, Rick Richmond, Ottawa.

Preceding her in death are her father, a grandson, Alexander; and brother-in-law, Kevin Helberg.

Ms. Conley was presently a cashier at Shell Party Mart in Ottawa.

At her and her family's request, Richelle was a "Gift of Life" donor through Lifeline of Ohio.

Services will be private; arrangements are being handled by Routson Funeral Chapel, Findlay.

FOSTORIA - Jessica M. Dull, 40, of Fostoria, died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at her residence.

She was born March 23, 1963, in Tiffin, to Donald P. and Marilyn E. (Huffman) Miller. She married John "Chip" Dull in April 1983, in Tucson, Ariz. They are divorced.
Surviving are: her parents, Donald P. and Marilyn E. Miller of Fostoria; a son, Kenneth J. Dull, and a daughter, Alysia M. Dull, both of Fostoria; two brothers, Allen P. Miller of Fostoria and Brian A. Miller of Thorton, Colo.

ZANESVILLE -- Thomas B. "Tom" Durant, 70, of Zanesville, died Thursday evening, Nov. 13, 2003 in the emergency room of Genesis Good Samaritan, Zanesville.

Mr. Durant was born Jan. 25, 1933 in Zanesville to the late Leo and Ida (Musselman) Durant.

Surviving are his wife, Janet (Mack) Durant; three sons, James and fiancé Meda Love of Newark; Dean (Danene) of Fostoria; and Chad (Dawn) Pollock, Zanesville; two daughters, Carol Duff and fiancé Larry Macenko, White Cottage; and Lisa (Matt) Hittle, Nashport; two brothers, James (Vicky) of Zanesville; and Fred of Upper Arlington; two sisters, Joan (Don) Cockayne, Alpine, Calif.; and Gloria Durant, Columbia, Md.; six granddaughters, Emily and Jill Durant, Meagan Duff, Lacie Hittle, Hannah Pollock and Katie Macenko; four grandsons, Logan Hittle, Jacob Gibson, Dalton and Tahlor Macenko; two great grandchildren, Collin and Zoe Rice; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Durant retired from General Electric, New Concord, in June 1995 and appreciated and actively participated in the preservation and restoration of vintage tractors. He was active in the Dresden, Freeland and Legend Valley Old Steam and Gas Clubs and had attended the Brownsville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr and Chute Funeral Home, Adamsville, the Rev. John Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, near Zanesville.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Carter, Donald

FOSTORIA -- Funeral services for Donald Carter, 75, of Wyandot Street, Fostoria, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Edmond Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, with military rites by Joint Veterans Group of Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Carter died at 8:55 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003 at Fostoria Community Hospital.

Surviving are his wife, Josephine Carter, Fostoria; three sons, Michael of Monticello, Minn.; Steven of Fostoria; Kevan of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Pamela Myers, Rockford, Minn.; and Mrs. Jeff (Brenda) Cipiti, Fostoria.

Cornely, James C.

James C. Cornely, 84, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 19, 1919 to John and Philomena (Wagner) in Kirby. He married M. Jean Farrell July 29, 1946 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown and she preceded him in death Jan. 25, 2003.

Surviving are a stepson, E. Dale Powell, Cedarville, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Jack E. (Patricia J.) Brown, Findlay; and Mrs. Kit (Nancy J.) Eridon, Bowling Green; a sister, Berneda McMillen, Upper Sandusky; eleven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Legora, Ed, Bert and Bobby; and three sisters, Jane Dreschel, Janet Bland and Idella Best.

Mr. Cornely retired in 1979 as the Postmaster in Benton Ridge and was co-owner of Farrell's Market in Benton Ridge for 32 years.

Mr. Cornely was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served with the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII and received a Purple Heart with cluster and the Bronze Star Medal. He was a former member of the Fostoria Power Squadron, State Highway Patrol Auxiliary, former Fire Chief of Benton Ridge Blanchard Twp.; served 15-years on Hancock Co. Board of Health; Post Commander of the American Legion, and member of the Jinx Club Ralph D. Cole Post #3 American Legion. He was a life member of the Findlay American Legion, AMVETS, D.A.V. #43 and Military Order Purple Heart. He was a life member of the Upper Sandusky Elks # 83 and the V.F.W. James was also a member of the K of C in Upper Sandusky, Wyandot Co. Sportsman and Rod and Gun Club; National Assoc. of Postmasters and life member of the Carey Eagles. He attended St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown. Interment will be in Benton Ridge Cemetery where full military rites will be performed by the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. today at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with a Rosary Service at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic School, Upper Sandusky, or a charity of the donor's choice.


Clagg, Donald "Dick"

FOSTORIA -- Funeral services for Donald R. "Dick" Clagg, 73, of Buckley Street, Fostoria, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay, where Military Honors will be conducted by the Joint Veterans Group of Fostoria.

Visitation will be held an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Clagg died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 at his daughter's home in Bloomdale.

He was born June 20, 1930 in Bidwell to Ivan and Elizabeth (Crist) Clagg. He married Mary Lou Huffman July 1, 1950 at Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria, and she survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kris (Donna) Murlin, Bloomdale; three brothers, Harvey of Vinton; and Joe and Archie, both of Fostoria; and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a daughter, Paulette Clagg; three brothers, Paul, John and Glenn; and two sisters, Annie Saxton and Helen Jean Kizer.

Mr. Clagg retired in 1990 as an inspector at AirFoil Textron, Fostoria.

He was a 1948 graduate of Bidwell High School and a U.S. Airforce Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Garden of My Heart Holy Tabernacle Church, Bidwell, Fostoria American Legion and Fostoria United Sportsman's Club.

Crow, (Thiry) Zitella L.'Cy'

Zitella L. "Cy" Crow, 85, formerly of Fostoria, died Jan. 8, 2003, in Florida.

She was born May 24, 1917, in Marion, to the late Ned F. and Rebecca C. (Fry) Nye. She married Alvin E. Crow in 1940. He died in 1978. She then married Gerald R. Thiry on Aug. 13, 1988, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church. He died Aug. 5, 2003.

Graveside services for Cy and her husband Gerald will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria.

The Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria is in charge of the arrangements.


Cline, Phyllis L.

Phyllis L. Cline, 82, formerly of 401 Defiance Ave., Findlay, died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 at Blakely Care Center, North Baltimore.

She was born Sept. 3, 1921 in Charleston, W.Va., to Philip F. and Ethel (Hutton) Mankin. She married Donald H. Cline on June 22, 1940 in Russell, Ky., and he is deceased.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. L.K. (Donna L.) Dingelstedt, Arcadia; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cline worked for Fostoria City Schools.

She was a member of Fostoria Baptist Church.

Private family graveside services will be held at Seneca Memory Gardens.

There will be no visitation.
