Carl A. Clouse, 87, of 5622 W. CR 6, New Riegel, died Dec.
31, 2002, at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.
He was born July 15, 1915, in New Riegel to Stephen and Rosa
(Reinhart) Clouse. He married Rosemary Kauffman at St. Peter's
Catholic Church in Alvada Jan. 12, 1939. She survives.
Also surviving are 10 children: Theresa (Jerry) Gable of Glandorf,
Marge (John) Kirian of Tiffin, Mary A. (Barry) Wines of Upper
Sandusky, Bob Clouse of Arcadia, Mike (Therese) Clouse and Carol
(Bill) Kinn, both of Fostoria, Kenny Clouse of Napoleon, Lenny
(Lynn) Clouse and Norm Clouse, both of New Riegel, and Deb Monday
of Carey; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a sister,
Mrs. Berneda Schalk of Fostoria; and a brother, Paul Clouse of
New Riegel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George
and John Clouse.
Mr. Clouse was a graduate of New Riegel High School, Class
of 1933, and was salutatorian of his class. He was a farmer. He
was inducted into the Seneca County Agricultural Hall of Recognition
in 1989. He was a representative of the Seneca County ASCS for
18 years and served six years as state president. Mr. Clouse was
a member of the St. Nicholas Holy Name Society and served on the
parish council. He was a member of the local Catholic Knights
of Ohio, Branch 52, for 73 years and was past president. He was
a member of the New Riegel Moose Lodge and served on the New Riegel
Board of Education for 10 years. Mr. Clouse was also a member
of the Seneca Pow-Wows Farm Bureau Advisory Groups. He enjoyed
playing cards and was an avid Cleveland Indians baseball fan.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Frenchtown..
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at St. Nicholas
Church with the Rev. Conrad Sutter officiating. Burial will be
in
St. Nicholas Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried
Funeral Home, Tiffin, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church. A
Wake Service will be at 8:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A Rosary Service will be at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Dieter, Lucille M.
Lucille M. Dieter, 84, formerly of 529 W. North Street, Fostoria,
died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2002 in Good Shepherd Home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1918 in Fostoria to Meinard Reinhart,
he passed away, she then married Clifford Rensch, he died, she
then married Elmer Dieter, he also passed away.
Surviving included: two daughters, Mrs. June Kinn of Fostoria,
and Ida Crawford of CO.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17,
2003 in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be
prayed at 10 a.m. Burial Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.

NEW RIEGEL -- A funeral Mass for Rosemary C. Clouse,
86, of 5622 W. County Road 6, New Riegel, will be celebrated
at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Frenchtown,
the Rev. Conrad Sutter officiating. Burial will be in the
parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hannay-Traunero
Funeral Home, Tiffin, where a wake service will be held
at 8:30 p.m.; and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Clouse died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at Toledo
Hospital.
She was born Oct. 25, 1916 in Alvada to William and
Lucy (Fraley) Kauffman. She married Carl Clouse on Jan.
12, 1939 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Alvada, and he died Dec.
31, 2002.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Theresa)
Gable, Glandorf; Mrs. John (Marge) Kirian, Tiffin; Mrs.
Barry (Mary A.) Wines, Upper Sandusky; Mrs. Bill (Carol) Kinn,
Fostoria; and Deb Monday, Carey; five sons, Bob of Arcadia;
Mike of Fostoria; Ken of Napoleon; and Lenny and Norm, both of
New Riegel; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers,
Joe and Eugene Kauffman, both of Tiffin; and Donald Kauffman,
in Florida; and two sisters, Clara Kramer and Mary Ann Stover,
both of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and
Paul "Bud" Kauffman; and four sisters, Esther Kauffman,
Ruth Durdel, Rita Hoover and Helen Topel.
Mrs. Clouse was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and
its Rosary Altar Society, serving as a past officer; Catholic
Knights of Ohio Branch 52; American Legion Auxiliary 354; and
Seneca Pow-wows Farm Bureau advisory groups. She served
on the Seneca Township election board for several years.
She graduated from St. Peter's Catholic School, Alvada.

FOSTORIA -- Forest W. "Frosty" Clagg, 63, of 117 E.
Fremont St., Fostoria, died at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb.
2, 2003 at his residence.
He was born March 10, 1939 in Jackson Township to
Leslie and Rosella E. (Durst) Clagg. His mother, now Rosella
E. Ferguson, survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are two sons, Forest W. Newsome, Inez,
Ky.; Anthony Newsome, Wayne; three daughters, Paula Goble,
Inez, Ky.; Tamara Clagg, Findlay; Michelle Hofacker, Fostoria;
12 grandchildren; and four brothers, Dennis L. Ferguson,
Ada; Michael Maurice Ferguson, Fostoria; Jack Leroy Clagg,
Mount Carmel, Tenn.; and Stephen P. Clagg, Pickerington.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and
a stepfather, Maurice V. Ferguson.
Mr. Clagg retired from Union Carbide, Fostoria, after
38 years.
He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church,
Fostoria.

Goodwin and Terry McBeath officiating. Burial will be in Fountain

McCOMB -- Evalyine M. Donaldson, 85, formerly of
McComb, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 at Oak Grove Care
Center, Deshler.
She was born Dec. 24, 1917 in Sandusky County to
Barney J. and Minerva A. (Kistler) Weller. She married
Wilbert "Red" Donaldson, and they were divorced.
Surviving is a son, Daniel of Deshler.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Weller;
and a sister, Mildred Fruth.
Mrs. Donaldson formerly worked at Fostoria Screw
Co.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday
at Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, the Rev. Kathleen Richards
officiating. Burial will be at a later date in McPherson Cemetery,
Clyde.

CHUDZINSKI, PAULINE M.
Mother of Fostorian
Pauline M. Chudzinski (Jan. 18, 1926-Feb. 7, 2003), 77,
of 1916 Morrison Rd., Fremont, died Friday afternoon at
her home surrounded by her entire family. Born in
Sandusky County to the late Edwin and Ludwina (Steinberger)
Molyet on Oct. 15, 1949, she married Daniel Chudzinski at
St. Joseph Church in Fremont.
Daniel survives along with her children: Anthony (Cathy)
Chudzinski, Mrs. Al (Karen) O'Neal, Mark (Judy) Chudzinski,
Mrs. Brad (Patty) Culbert, Peter (Joy) Chudzinski, Jacob
(Kathy) Chudzinski, and Amy Chudzinski, all of Fremont,
Mrs. Michael (Therese) Clouse of Fostoria, Mrs. Michael
(Mary) Chudzinski of Swanton, and Barbara (John) Chudzinski
of DeFuniak Springs, FL; 22 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter;
brothers Norbert and Ronald Molyet, both of Fremont, Bernard
Molyet of Naples, FL and Donald Molyet of Findlay; and sisters
Mary Dickman and Agnes Darr, both of Fremont, Margaret Bradman
of Carey, Rita Ralston of Boston, MA and Dorothy Sugar of
Pewyn, PA.
Preceding Pauline were her son, Frederick Chudzinski;
and twin brothers, Paul and Edwin Molyet.
Pauline was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church,
the former Catholic Nurses Club, the Hayes Ohio Star American
Quilter, and was a volunteer at Reach to Recovery of the
American Red Cross from 1991 to 1998. Pauline was a 1944
graduate of Green Springs High School and received an R.N.
degree from Toledo Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1948.
She did nursing at Memorial Hospital in Fremont for two
years and was a nurse with the Sandusky County Migrant Clinic.
Pauline and her husband were the former co-owners of Chud's
Inc. and she was a homemaker. She along with her husband
Dan wintered in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Sunday, at the Keller-Ochs-Koch
Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, with a Wake service
at 3:00p.m.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph
Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont. Burial will be
in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

CRAFT, AUDREY ILENE
Audrey Ilene "Jackie" Craft, 65, of 901 Howard
St., Findlay, died at 12:57 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13,
2003, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.
She was born Aug. 18, 1937, in Findlay to Dan
and Crystal (Kiger) Wright. She married George Craft
on July 23, 1966, and he survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Don Lauck, Fostoria;
David Craft, Fort Campbell, Ky.; and Jason Craft,
Findlay; three daughters, Sandra Stafford, Findlay; and
Lora Stevens and Colleen Washburn, both of McComb;
nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie
Wright; and a sister, Colleen Grossman.
Mrs. Craft was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday
at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple
Grove Cemetery.

DOE, KRISTOPHER P.
Kristopher P. Doe, 19, of 505 David St., Bettsville,
died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003 as a result of
an automobile accident. He was born Dec. 4, 1983 in
Fostoria to Thadley S. and Denise M. (Minich) Doe, both
survive in Bettsville.
Other survivors include: paternal grandparents, Lloyd
and Joyce Doe of Fostoria; maternal grandmother, Gloria
(Soper) Minich of Rockford, OH; a brother, Nicholas
J. Doe of Bettsville; three sisters, Shanna Doe of WIS,
Tiffany Struble, and Kendra Doe, both of Bettsville.
Preceded in death was a maternal grandfather, Paul
M. Minich.
Mr. Doe was a Class of 2002 graduate of Bettsville
High School. He worked for TRM and set modular homes.
A member of ATVA, All Terrain Vehicle Association, as
he enjoyed riding ATV's with family and friends.
Services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003 at
Engle Funeral Home of Bettsville, with The Pastor Mike
Carnevale officiating. There will be no burial at this
time.

Helen Lucile Chilcoat, 91, formerly
of Alvada, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2003,

Fairhaven Health Care Community, Upper
Sandusky.
She was born Aug. 14, 1911 in Washington
Township, Hancock County to Park and Dorcas (Elbin)
Graber. She married Charles H. Chilcoat on Nov. 27,
1934, and he died July 13, 1969.
Surviving are three sons, John D. of Pickerington;
Charles P. of Wilmington; and Floyd H. of Russelville,
Ark.; a daughter, Lois H. Arnold, Alvada; eight grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers,
Amos, Willard and William Howard Graber; and a sister,
Ruth Graber.
Mrs. Chilcoat retired in 1980 as postmistriss
of the Alvada Post Office after 22 years.
She was a member of St. John's United Church
of Christ, Fostoria.

Maria C. Diaz-Hernandez, 72, of 431 Union Court,

She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Asherton, Texas,
to the late Martin and Ofelia (de la Cruz) Zepeda.
She married Epifanio G. Diaz Sr. in 1946. He died
Dec. 19, 1974. Then she married Eusebio Hernandez
in November 1979. He survives in Fostoria.

She was born June 16, 1911 in Fostoria
to Joseph and Mathilda (Kirian) Welly. She married
Nicholas D. Calmes in 1931 at St. Patrick's
Catholic Church, Bascom, and he died June 27,
1945. She married Leo D. Foltz in 1957
at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and
he died July 30, 1972.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jack
(Geraldine M.) Brubaker, Fostoria; six grandchildren;
two
step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren;
and two sisters, Emma Welch, Fredericktown;
and Mary Doogs, Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by three
sons, Richard Lewis Calmes, Lewis Richard Calmes
and Gerald N. Calmes; three grandchildren;
four brothers, Eugene, Raymond, Elmer and Alfred
Welly; and three sisters, Rose Reiter,
Helen Reiter and Rita Hemminger.
Mrs. Calmes-Foltz retired from the
cafeteria atUnion Carbine Co., Fostoria, after
28 years. She also worked at Fostoria
Screw Co.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic
Church and its Rosary Altar Society; Women's
Club; Senior Citizen's Center; and Catholic
Ladies of Columbia.

She was born April 4, 1920 in Vanlue
to Garrett and Florence (Wisely) Miller. Her
mother survives in Findlay. She married
Ralph H. Cravens in 1945 in Vanlue, and he
died in March 1970. She later married
James C. Roberts in 1973, and he died in August
1993.
Surviving are a son, Joe H. Cravens,
Fostoria; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
and a sister, Donna Mae Bibler, Rawson.
She was preceded in death by a son,
Steven R. Cravens; an infant daughter, a brother,
Ivan Miller; and a sister, Ina Ruth

Mrs. Cravens-Roberts retired as
office manager of Neale-Phyper-Graham-Fine
Insurance, Toledo, after 25 years. She
also had worked at Howard Johnson, Toledo;

She was a graduate of Vanlue High
School.
She was a member of Trilby United

of natural causes at 11:05 a.m.
Sunday, April 6, 2003 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 28, 1956
in Bowling Green to Franklin and Daisy
(Garner) Corbin.
Surviving are two daughters,
Melanie Corbin, Cygnet; Tiffany Corbin,
in Kentucky; a son, Victor Lee, in
Kentucky; four grandchildren; four brothers,
James in Tennessee; Bill and Frankin,
both of Fostoria; Randy of Findlay;
and three stepbrothers, John and Rodney
Taulker, both of Bradner; and Howard
Taulker, Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by
a stepbrother, Rick Taulker; and a stepmother,
Nancy Corbin.
Mr. Corbin was a machine operator
and factory laborer.
Funeral services will be held
at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hoening Funeral
Home, Fostoria, the Rev. James
St. Clair officiating. Burial will be
in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria.

Donna E Cornelius
a long time resident of Monac Drive
in Toledo, passed away at The Toledo
Hospital on Friday November 1, 2002
She was born
in Fostoria, Ohio and came to Toledo
in 1951. She was a charter member
of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and
taught Sunday School for over 40 years.
She founded Good Shepherd Christian
Singles in 1977 and was active in
it until her marriage to Jerry in
1979. She graduated from
Fostoira High School in1943
Donna was an
enthusiastic runner and participated
in many races, including several marathons.
She took 1st place in most of the
races she entered.
Donna was a
secretary at Owens Illinois for many
years and she retired in 1982.
Donna and her husband opened Rainbow
One Hour Photo in 1986 and they operated
it until 2001.
Donna is survived
by her husband, Jerry, four of her
children, Blain Wilson, Duane (Linda)
Wilson, Diana (Steve) Slaughter and
Brian Wilson, five stepchildren, Kathleen
(Gary) Smith, Kristina (Kenneth) Houstin,
Randall Cornelius, Laurie Cornelius
and Bradley Cornelius, ten grandchildren.
Brothers Albert Gibat, Norman and
Kathleen Gibat, Rosella Hladky and
several nieces and nephews.

Robert George Chapman, 84, of Bedford,
Va., and formerly of Fostoria, died
Saturday, March 22, 2003, in Virginia.
He was born Sept. 14, 1918, in
Coldwater, Mich., to George F. and
Alma (Rice) Chapman. They are deceased.
He married Kathleen Burggraf. She
survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter,
Barbara Kowalyk of Aurora; a brother,
Dan B. Chapman of Ventura, Calif.;
a sister, Mildred Smith of Ann Arbor,
Mich.; two grandchildren, three
step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren
and two step great-grandchildren.
Mr. Chapman was a World War II
U.S. Army Air Force veteran, serving
in the 13th Division.
Graveside services will be 1:30
p.m. April 21 in Emma Pillars Garden
of Memory, Fountain Cemetery, where
the United Veterans of Fostoria
will conduct military honors, and
the Fostoria Elk Lodge will conduct
memorial services.

Eugene "Gene" P. Dixon, age 78,
of Toledo, passed away Sunday, April
13, 2003, at his home surrounded
by his family. Gene was born March
29, 1925, to Harrold L. and Francine
(Hill) Dixon in Fostoria, Ohio.
He was a WWII US Navy Veteran
serving with the "Seabees". Gene
retired from Data Card after 40
years as a service technician. After
retiring, Gene became an avid mall-walker
and gardner. He was also a longtime
member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Most importantly, Gene enjoyed spending
time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gene
was preceded in death by his brother,
Harlowe Dixon, and sister, Sharon
(Dixon) Miller. He is survived by
his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce
"Peg" (Swanger) Dixon; sons, Douglas
Dixon, Daryl Dixon, Doyle Dixon,
and Drew Dixon, and daughter, Diane
Dixon; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild
due in June; sister, Beverly (Norm)
Trumbo of Tecumseh, MI, and many
nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was born July 29, 1932, in

Perry. She married Denton Goodin,
Jr., and they are divorced, she
then married Donald (Elmer) Dull
Jr. on July 17, 1965, in Tiffin.
He survives.

Leon (Hayfield) Claypool. His
wife, Verna May Boucher, whom
he married Aug. 20, 1950, in
Ebenezer United Bretheran Church,
Fostoria, survives.

Barbara Loeffer of Fostoria,

Mr. Claypool,
a 1948 graduate of Fostoria
High School, retired from the
Seneca County Engineers Department,
where he was superintendent
of county roads. He also worked
for Sherwin Williams in Tiffin
for 23 years. He was a member

169, Model T. Ford Club, the

Society and a former member
of the Rotary Club.
He served
in the U.S. Army Ohio National

graduating from the Academy
in Sept. of 1997 and was
assigned to the California
Highway Patrol, South
Los Angeles, which included
motorcycle duty. In May
of 2002 he transferred
to the CHP Riverside Area
office where he was a
motor officer.

ZANESVILLE -- Thomas
B. "Tom" Durant,
70, of Zanesville, died
Thursday evening, Nov.
13, 2003 in the emergency
room of Genesis Good Samaritan,
Zanesville.
Mr. Durant was born Jan.
25, 1933 in Zanesville
to the late Leo and Ida
(Musselman) Durant.
Surviving are his wife,
Janet (Mack) Durant; three
sons, James and fiancé
Meda Love of Newark; Dean
(Danene) of Fostoria;
and Chad (Dawn) Pollock,
Zanesville; two daughters,
Carol Duff and fiancé
Larry Macenko, White Cottage;
and Lisa (Matt) Hittle,
Nashport; two brothers,
James (Vicky) of Zanesville;
and Fred of Upper Arlington;
two sisters, Joan (Don)
Cockayne, Alpine, Calif.;
and Gloria Durant, Columbia,
Md.; six granddaughters,
Emily and Jill Durant,
Meagan Duff, Lacie Hittle,
Hannah Pollock and Katie
Macenko; four grandsons,
Logan Hittle, Jacob Gibson,
Dalton and Tahlor Macenko;
two great grandchildren,
Collin and Zoe Rice; and
several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Durant retired from
General Electric, New
Concord, in June 1995
and appreciated and actively
participated in the preservation
and restoration of vintage
tractors. He was active
in the Dresden, Freeland
and Legend Valley Old
Steam and Gas Clubs and
had attended the Brownsville
United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will
be held at 11 a.m. Monday
at Adamsville Chapel of
Vensil-Orr and Chute Funeral
Home, Adamsville, the
Rev. John Sellers officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant
Grove Cemetery, near Zanesville.
Visitation will be held
from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral
home.

2003 at Fostoria Community
Hospital.

James C.
James C. Cornely, 84,
of Findlay, passed away
Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003
at his residence.
He was born Feb. 19,
1919 to John and Philomena
(Wagner) in Kirby. He
married M. Jean Farrell
July 29, 1946 at St. Michael
the Archangel Catholic
Church, Downtown and she
preceded him in death
Jan. 25, 2003.
Surviving are a stepson,
E. Dale Powell, Cedarville,
Mich.; two daughters,
Mrs. Jack E. (Patricia
J.) Brown, Findlay; and
Mrs. Kit (Nancy J.) Eridon,
Bowling Green; a sister,
Berneda McMillen, Upper
Sandusky; eleven grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by four brothers, Legora,
Ed, Bert and Bobby; and
three sisters, Jane Dreschel,
Janet Bland and Idella
Best.
Mr. Cornely retired in
1979 as the Postmaster
in Benton Ridge and was
co-owner of Farrell's
Market in Benton Ridge
for 32 years.
Mr. Cornely was also
a veteran of the U.S.
Army having served with
the 82nd Airborne Division
during WWII and received
a Purple Heart with cluster
and the Bronze Star Medal.
He was a former member
of the Fostoria Power
Squadron, State Highway
Patrol Auxiliary, former
Fire Chief of Benton Ridge
Blanchard Twp.; served
15-years on Hancock Co.
Board of Health; Post
Commander of the American
Legion, and member of
the Jinx Club Ralph D.
Cole Post #3 American
Legion. He was a life
member of the Findlay
American Legion, AMVETS,
D.A.V. #43 and Military
Order Purple Heart. He
was a life member of the
Upper Sandusky Elks #
83 and the V.F.W. James
was also a member of the
K of C in Upper Sandusky,
Wyandot Co. Sportsman
and Rod and Gun Club;
National Assoc. of Postmasters
and life member of the
Carey Eagles. He attended
St. Michael the Archangel
Catholic Church, Downtown.
Funeral services will
be held at 10 a.m. Saturday
at St. Michael the Archangel
Catholic Church, Downtown.
Interment will be in Benton
Ridge Cemetery where full
military rites will be
performed by the Hancock
County Veteran's Memorial
Squad.
Visitation will be held
from 6-9 p.m. today at

Mr. Clagg died at 3:30
p.m. Friday, Dec. 12,
2003 at his daughter's
home in Bloomdale.
He was born June 20,
1930 in Bidwell to Ivan
and Elizabeth (Crist)
Clagg. He married Mary
Lou Huffman July 1, 1950
at Hope Lutheran Church,
Fostoria, and she survives
in Fostoria.
Also surviving are a
daughter, Mrs. Kris (Donna)
Murlin, Bloomdale; three
brothers, Harvey of Vinton;
and Joe and Archie, both
of Fostoria; and two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death
are his parents, a daughter,
Paulette Clagg; three
brothers, Paul, John and
Glenn; and two sisters,
Annie Saxton and Helen
Jean Kizer.
Mr. Clagg retired in
1990 as an inspector at
AirFoil Textron, Fostoria.
He was a 1948 graduate
of Bidwell High School
and a U.S. Airforce Veteran
of the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Garden
of My Heart Holy Tabernacle
Church, Bidwell, Fostoria
American Legion and Fostoria
United Sportsman's Club.

Zitella L. "Cy"
Crow, 85, formerly of
Fostoria, died Jan. 8,
2003, in Florida.
She was born May 24,
1917, in Marion, to the
late Ned F. and Rebecca
C. (Fry) Nye. She married
Alvin E. Crow in 1940.
He died in 1978. She then
married Gerald R. Thiry
on Aug. 13, 1988, at St.
Wendelin Catholic Church.
He died Aug. 5, 2003.
Graveside services for
Cy and her husband Gerald
will be 11 a.m. Friday
in St. Wendelin Parish
Cemetery, Fostoria.

Phyllis L. Cline, 82,
formerly of 401 Defiance
Ave., Findlay, died at
11:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec.
27, 2003 at Blakely Care
Center, North Baltimore.
She was born Sept. 3,
1921 in Charleston, W.Va.,
to Philip F. and Ethel
(Hutton) Mankin. She married
Donald H. Cline on June
22, 1940 in Russell, Ky.,
and he is deceased.
Surviving are a daughter,
Mrs. L.K. (Donna L.) Dingelstedt,
Arcadia; two grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cline worked for
Fostoria City Schools.
She was a member of Fostoria
Baptist Church.
Private family graveside
services will be held
at Seneca Memory Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
