UPPER SANDUSKY -- Luella T. Rall, 91, of 15099 Ohio 67, Upper Sandusky, died at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.

She was born July 19, 1910, in Kirby to Albert N. and Susan (Frey) Kuntz. She married Adrian L. Rall on Oct. 4, 1932, in Kirby, and he died July 7, 1981.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Marjorie) Hohman, Jamestown, N.Y.; Mrs. Joel (Melanie) Liles, Marion; a son, Martin of Upper Sandusky; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and four sisters, Alfrieda Schaffert, Fostoria; Deloris Thiel and Donna Thiel, both of Kirby; and Mary E. Jaqueth, Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Leroy Kuntz; and an infant sister, Lillian Kuntz.

Mrs. Rall was a homemaker and helped with the family grain and livestock farm.

She was an member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, and its Rosary Altar Society. She was past president of Catholic Ladies of Columbia and volunteered at St. Peter Catholic School library.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Ankenbrandt officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Bringman-Clark and Co. Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, where a Scripture service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a CLC memorial prayer service.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic School or Wyandot County Home Health in care of the funeral home, 226 E. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, 43351.


 

Patrick, Thomas J.

Thomas J. Patrick, 79, of 758 Nickie Lane, Fostoria died Monday, January 7 at St.Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

He was born Sept. 17, 1922 in Painsville, Ky. to the late Thomas,Sr. and Ducie(Poe) Patrick. He was married to Helen Victoria Ridenour on June 4, 1946 and she survives in Tiffin.

Survivors also include: two sons, Thomas M. Patrick of Bascom and Robert L. Patrick of Fostoria; half-brother, Esery Poe of Bettsville and two grandchildren.

He was a WW II Army veteran.

Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hoffman - Gottfried Funeral Home. Interment will be at Seneca Memory Gardens in Tiffin.

Visitation is Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.


Roberts, Kathleen H.

Kathleen H. Roberts, 79, of 461 W. Lytle Street, Fostoria, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Care Center, Findlay.

She was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Maurice and Lydia (Seyer) McCarthy. Both are deceased. She was married to Sanford Roberts. They divorced. He died in 1994.

Survivors include: five sons, David J. Roberts of Arcadia and Robert E. Roberts, Steven M. Roberts, Dennis R. Roberts and John P. Roberts, all of Findlay; two sisters, Colleen Skoglund of Dubuque, Iowa, and Geraldine Gano of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Tim McCarthy of Freeport, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. A Christian Wake Service will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria.


Reinhart, John, L.

John L. Reinhart, 57, of Midway, Pa., died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 15, 2002, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburg, Pa. He was born on Feb. 23, 1944, in Fostoria to Leonard L. and Mildred M. (Schmitz) Reinhart and she survives in New Riegel. His companion, Linda Bauer also survives in Pennsylvania.

Other survivors include: three sons, Gary Vera of Tiffin, Leonard J. Reinhart and John Reinhart, both of Salem; two brothers, Robert R. Reinhart of New Riegel and William C. Reinhart of Alvada; five sisters, Jane M. Carbone of Canton, Mich., Susan R. Schlachter of Defiance, Nancy J. Sites of Bloomdale, Mary L. Voigt of Findlay and Carol S. Reinhart of San Diego, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry J. Reinhart and a sister, Linda A. Ulrich.

A Rosary will be prayed at 10:10 a.m. Saturday followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church, Alvada. Father Leonard Kistler C.PP.S. will officiate. Christian wake service will be 4 p.m. Friday at Hoening Funeral Home, Tiffin. Internment will be in St. Peter Parish Cemetery, Alvada.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Hoening Funeral Home, Tiffin.


Roelle, William B.

William B. 'Bill' Roelle, 72, of South Poplar Street, Fostoria, died at 1:17 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, in Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.

He was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Sycamore to William and LaVere (Ennis) Roelle. He married Octa J. Day on June 3, 1978, in Fostoria and she survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: two sons, William B., Jr. of Bettsville and John of Toledo; four daughters, Bonnie Sue Eisenhour of Burgoon, Debra Recker of Tiffin, Mrs. Tom "Carolyn" Podach of Fostoria, and Anna Robinson of Sebastian, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles of Fostoria.

He retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service.


Ritchey, Eugene

BLUFFTON -- A memorial service for Eugene J. Ritchey, 83, of 5069 Township Road 29, Bluffton, will be held at a later date.

No visitation will be held.

Mr. Ritchey died Thursday evening, Jan. 17, 2002, at his residence.

He was born July 31, 1918, in Findlay to Archie N. and Carmen (McKinnon) Ritchey. He married Ethel Zimmerman on Jan. 25, 1944, in Fostoria, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert E. of Elida; a daughter, U.S. Air Force Col. Rebecca Ritchey, Salem, Ill.; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Mr. Ritchey retired in 1979 as a teacher at Lima Senior High School after 30 years, where he supervised the first vocational carpentry course in the state of Ohio. He also was a farmer.

He was a U.S. Air Corp. veteran of World War II, serving in Panama.

He was a 1937 graduate of Findlay High School, and received a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University.

Memorials may be made to St. Rita's Hospice, 770 W. North St., Lima, 45804; Cancer Patient Services, 830 N. Main St., Findlay; or Gomer United Church of Christ, Gomer, 45807.

Arrangements are by Routson Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with burial in Fountain Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Joint Veterans Group of Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.


RINEBOLD, JUDSON H,

Funeral services for Judson H. Rinebold, 91, of 1185 Van Buren St., Fostoria, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Rinebold died at 7:10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born March 12, 1910, in Fostoria to Wilbert and Carrie (Nusser) Rinebold. He married Mary L. Bauer on July 19, 1940, in Fostoria, and she died Nov. 23, 2001.

Surviving is a son, Rodger of Cincinnati.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon

Mr. Rinebold retired in 1990 as a salesman for Gray Printing Co. after 40 years. He also was a former Fostoria city councilman.

He was a member of Valley Creek Lodge; Fostoria Elks; and Fostoria Power Squadron, serving as past district commander. He was a Blue Lodge Mason and a member of Fostoria Lodge 288, Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo andShrine at Zenobia Center. He was a former board member of Fostoria City Hospital; and past president of Fostoria Country Club and Fostoria Shrine Club.

He was a 1928 graduate of Jackson Township High School.

Memorials may be made to a local Alzheimer's or Hospice fund.


Richard "Rip" Riley - Toledo Blade article
Former Wayne O. Resident

The funeral for Richard H "Rip Riley Sr. 77, Ashland, a three-time All World First team softball pitcher who was born and raised in Wayne, Ohio will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Heyl Funeral Home, Ashland, O.

Burial in Ashland Cemetery. Richard H. Riley Jr. will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mr. Riley died Monday (Feb. 18, 2002) at Samaritan Regional Health Systems following an extended illness

He worked at the Faultless Rubber Company, including eight years as its business manager.

He and his son, Dick Jr., were one of two father-son duos to be inducted into the Ohio Softball Hall of Fame.

Mr. Riley a veteran of the Army during World War ll, he played softball in the Army and pitched in the European finals.

While playing fastpitch softball in Colorado, his team won three national championships in 1950, 1951,1952. He was selected to the All World First Team and was named the National Tournament Most valuable Player in each of those three years.

His softball career record included a record of nearly 1,500 wins to approximately 300 loses with near 200 of those victories being no-hitters.

Mr. Riley was president of the Ashland Umpire Association from 1966 to 1970

He was born to Ober and Neva (Yates) Riley

Surviving are a Daughter Debra, Oregon; two sons, Richard Jr. and David, both of Ashland' Two stepsons, Russ Norris and Jeff Norris, both of Ashland; a sister Doris Maxwell, Gibsonsburg; Stepsister, Darlene Creell of California; a stepbrother Butch R of California; 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggest that memorials may be made to the Ashland County Heart Association


PARSONS, DOROTHY I.

Funeral services for Dorothy I. Parsons, 83, of 461 W. Lytle St., Lot 94, Fostoria, and formerly of North Baltimore, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore, the Rev. Paul Eichar officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parsons died at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Toledo Hospital.

She was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Augusta, Kan. to Ralph and Mable (Young) Thompson. She married George Avery Parsons on April 21, 1938, and he survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Karol Parsons Abeyta, Fostoria; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Gene (Pat) Walters, Fostoria.

Mrs. Parsons was a homemaker.


ROBERTS, AUSTIN
Former Fostorian

Funeral services for Austin Anderson Roberts Sr., 73, of 706 Balsley Ave., and formerly of Fostoria, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Stonebridge Church of God, the Rev. Archie White officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Routson Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Roberts died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Cleveland Clinic.

He was born Dec. 30, 1928, in Findlay to Ernest L. and Carrie M. (Anderson) Roberts. He married Joan Lucille Werner, and she preceded him in death. He married Jane, and she survives.

Also surviving are six sons, Austin Jr., Mark and Phillip, all of Fostoria; Larry of Orlando, Fla.; Michael of Findlay; Robert "Tracy" of Columbus; four daughters, Mrs. Jesse (Kathy) Cain, Ironton; Mrs. Jess (Debra) Latham, Fostoria; Cheryl Roberts, Columbus; Mrs. Gerardo (Joan) Saldana, Bluffton; 29 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Wilber (Rowena) Marshall, Toledo; Mrs. James (Nova Maxine) Williams, Columbus.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Marie Roberts; and three brothers, Melvin, Comptom and Val Jean "Dick."

Mr. Roberts retired from the Lincoln Center in 1994 as a certified chemical dependency counselor (CCDC III). He also was certified as an ATSI consultant and a TIPS trainer.

He was previously a brick mason. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of Faith Chapel AME Church, where he was superintendent of Sunday School, a Sunday School teacher and president of the Board of Trustees.

He received the Pastor's Award from Masonic Chapel in 1997, Golden Rule Award, Lincoln Center Service Award in 1983 and 1993, and was counselor of the year for the Midwest Chapter of Ohio Association of Alcohol Counselors in 1990. He was nominated by the White House for the President's Service Award in 1979.

Mr. Roberts was a graduate of Findlay High School, where he was captain of the football team; attended Findlay College (now University of Findlay); and graduated from Otero College, LaJunta, Colo.

He was a candidate for council in 1989. He was a Golden Gloves boxing champion, and founded the Findlay Athletic Boxing Club. Memorials may be made to Austin A. Roberts Sr.

ROUSE, CARL R.

Carl R. Rouse, 76, of Wauseon, and formerly of Fostoria, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon.

He was born March 27, 1925, in Fostoria to Harry Carl and Adda (Henry) Rouse. He married Alice J. Smalley on Dec. 30, 1956, in Fostoria, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Carl L. of Findlay; a daughter, Terri August, Findlay; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rouse had been a corrections officer for Fulton County Sheriff's Department. He retired in 1976 as chief of police in Wauseon after 15 years; and had been a sergeant for Fostoria Police Department for eight years.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a member of VFW Post 7424, Wauseon.

Private services will be held. Burial will in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore.

There will be no visitation.

PIOTTER, BETTY J.

Betty J. Piotter, 75, of West Lytle Street, Fostoria,, was found dead at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2002, at the Fostoria Veterans Memorial Reservoir 6.

She was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Fostoria, to the late Albert F. and Mary A. (Barns) Piotter. She never married.

Surviving are 16 nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Albert J. and Ernest E. Piotter; and two sisters, Mrs. Utah Rickle and Mrs. Violet M. Mullholand., are deceased.

Miss Piotter, a 1945 graduate of Fostoria High School, was employed as a line repair person at General Electric in Tiffin. She retired in 1985 after 38 years of employment.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. The Rev. Branson Hawkes will officiate. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.


PAINE, GLADYS C.

Funeral services for Gladys C. Paine, 87, formerly of West Ridge Drive, Fostoria, will be held at
10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Larry W. Knigga officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Paine died at 9:57 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2002, at Independence House, Fostoria.

She was born May 20, 1914, in Fostoria to Charles and Christina (Herbert) Coppus. She married William James Paine, and he survives.

Also surviving are a son, James William of Tavares, Fla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Ann Roberts.

Mrs. Paine was a homemaker. She was a 1932 graduate of Fostoria High School. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria, where she was past president of Women's Association, a past member of the building committee and former director of the youth choir.

Memorials may be made to the church, 151 W. Center St., Fostoria, 44830; or a charity of the donor's choice.



REIDLING, RAMONA

A memorial service for Ramona Reidling, 56, of Sandusky Street, Fostoria, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God, Fostoria, the Rev. Donald Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

No visitation will be held.

Mrs. Reidling died Sunday morning, March 17, 2002, at her residence.

She was born May 9, 1945, in Saginaw, Mich. to Earl and Nellie (Barr) Reidling. Her mother survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ryan (Loretta) Reid, Fostoria; a grandchild; a brother, Richard Reidling, Fostoria; and a sister, Mrs. Carl (Earlene) Naugle, Bloomdale.

Mrs. Reidling was a homemaker.

She attended Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

PAINTER, THOMAS C.

Thomas C. Painter, 63, of Fostoria Rd., Fostoria, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. He was born July 1, 1938 to Bevon and Delilah (McGough) Painter, both deceased. On Aug. 30, 1963 he married Marilyn Chambers, and she survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Thomas Painter II of Portage, and Jerry Painter of Eaton, Ind.; two daughters, Tammy Painter of Fostoria, and Mrs. Toni Bringman of Gibsonburg; a sister, Mrs. Sally Jo Harden of Fostoria; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Preceded in death was a brother, Bevon Painter.

Services at 10 :30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2002 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Fostoria. Burial at Knollcrest Cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria.


RICE, JOHN J.

Funeral services for John J. "Long John" Rice, 73, of Salyersville, Ky., and formerly of Fostoria,
will be held at 2 p.m. today at Magoffin County Funeral Home, Salyersville, the Rev. Simon Porter officiating. Burial will be in Family Cemetery, Marshallville, Ky.

Mr. Rice died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville, Ky.

He was born June 8, 1928, in Scott County, Virginia to John W. and Frances (Wallen) Rice. He married Josephine Whitaker, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, John David of Toledo; three daughters, Joy Kiran, Fostoria; Phyllis Risner, Tiffin; and Norma Hayman, Salyersville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lori Phillips in California.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack.

Mr. Rice retired from Seneca Wire & Manufacturing Co., Fostoria.


REIDLING, RICHARD J.

Funeral services for Richard J. Reidling, 59, of 4388 Hall Road, Fostoria, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Derrick Morant officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Reidling died at 1:46 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2002, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born March 9, 1943, in Saginaw, Mich. to Earl McKinley and Nellie Berline (Barr) Reidling. His mother survives in Fostoria. He married Sue Ann Gebauer on Dec. 26, 1979, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Justin of Fostoria; and a sister, Earlene Naugle, Bloomdale.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ramona Reidling.

Mr. Reidling was a machine operator at Honeywell, Fostoria, for 28 years.

He was a 1961 graduate of Fostoria High School.

He attended Higher Ground Ministries, Fostoria.

PELPHREY, RODNEY G.
 
  Funeral services for Rodney G. Pelphrey, 51, of 1804 Jennifer Lane, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, the Rev. Lowell Reeder officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
 
  Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
 
  Mr. Pelphrey died at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.
 
  He was born Jan. 18, 1951, in Ypsilanti, Mich. to Grant and Beulah (Hall) Pelphrey. His mother, now  Beulah Kahler, survives in Findlay. His stepmother, Barbara Pelphrey, survives in Alvada. He married  Linda Lee and they were divorced. He then married Christine Naeyaert, and they were divorced.
 
  Surviving are two sons, Christopher M. of Cleveland; Brent L. of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Shannon Pelphrey, Detroit, Mich.; a brother, Alan of Findlay.
 
  Mr. Pelphrey worked at TKA Atlas Inc., Fostoria. He was a former mayor of Vanlue.
 
  He was a member of Cleveland Browns Backers.
 
  He was a graduate of Vanlue High School. He was a 1969 graduate of Owens Community College and attended Ohio State University.

Jack E. Runion

Jack E. Runion, 64, of 809 N. Vine St., Fostoria, died at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at his residence after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 5, 1937, in Fostoria to Ashby D. "Jack" Runion, deceased, and Freda (Shuman) Searles-Brooks, who survives in Fostoria. On May 9, 1961, he married Marilyn M. Mathias in Fostoria. She died May 22,, 2000.

Other survivors include: three sons, Leslie J. Mathias of Hampton, Va., Todd C. Runion and Timothy M. Runion, both of Fostoria; three daughters, Mrs. Rob (Roxann) Bilger of Houston, Texas., Mrs. Mark (Maria L.) Lawarre of Findlay, and Mrs. Randy (Jackie) Emans of Bowling Green; three brothers, Larry J. Runion, Brian J. Searles, and Jim M. Searles, all of Fostoria; two half brothers, Roger Runion of Tiffin and Rick Runion of Findlay; a stepbrother, Don Searles of Newark; a stepsister, Edie Whitlock of Cowden, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his father and wife.

Mr. Runion retired as an inspector from Allied-Signal, Fostoria, after 30 years of service. He also operated "Sadie Bink" Crafts from his home with his wife. His memberships included: Fostoria Eagles Aerie 430; AMVETS Post 69; and the American Legion Post 73, Fostoria. Mr. Runion was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2002, at the Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria, with the Rev. Dr. Larry Knigga officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, where the United Veterans of Fostoria will conduct military honors.

Visitation hours will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

  SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. -- Funeral services for Rollin William Richendollar, 80, of Sevierville, Tenn., and formerly of Fostoria, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Atchley Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the Rev. Steven McClure officiating. Burial will be in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens, Pigeon Forge.
 
  Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. today at the chapel.
 
  Mr. Richendollar died at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Fort Sanders-Sevier Medical Center, Sevierville, Tenn.
 
  He was born July 1, 1921, in Lawrence County, Ohio to Jake and Alta (Coffman) Richendollar. He married Doris Holden, and she survives.
 
  Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Lois Jeanne) Perkins, Kent; Mrs. Ben (Wanda June) Pohlman, Fostoria; Mrs. Kenneth (Vicki Lynn) Roe, Sevierville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alva of Ohio; and a sister, Eliza Wells, in Tennessee.
 
  He was preceded in death by four brothers, Hurl, Orylen, Elmer and Junior.
 
  Mr. Richendollar retired from Bendix Autolite, Fostoria, after 33 years.
 
  He is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
 
  He was a member of DAV.

Rayle, Richard
(Doeshire fire victim)

FOSTORIA -- Graveside services for Richard K. "Dick" Rayle, 83, a resident of Doeshire Inn, Fostoria, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near North Baltimore, the Rev. Michael VanDenEynde Jr. officiating.
 
There will be no visitation.
 
Mr. Rayle died about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002, of smoke inhalation from a fire at the apartment building.
 
He was born July 29, 1918, in Hancock County to Richard R. and Lelia (Freed) Rayle.
Surviving is a brother, Donald F. of Findlay.
 
He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman B.
 
Mr. Rayle retired as an assembler at Autolite (now Honeywell Corp.), Fostoria, after 30 years.

PLUMMER, WILLIAM
 
   Funeral services for William Arthur Plummer Sr., 83, of 25 Christopher Drive, Fostoria, and formerly of 1521 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home,  Fostoria, the Rev. Larry W. Knigga officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
 
  Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
 
  Mr. Plummer died at 9:12 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2002, at St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
 
  He was born May 1, 1919, in Lima to Walter and Wanda K. (Long) Plummer. He married Gloria V.  Meeks on March 20, 1940, in Ottawa, and she survives.  Also surviving are a son, William A. Jr. of  Bradner; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
 
  He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; and two sisters, Betty Mumaw and Mary Tipton.
 
  Mr. Plummer retired in 1980 as a switchman for Norfolk-Western Railroad after more than 38 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria.

ROGALA, DAVID A.
 
David A. Rogala, 48, of 5473 N. TR 63, Fostoria Mobile Estates, Fostoria, died in his home Wednesday, July 24, 2002.
 
He was born July 29, 1953 in Tiffin to Helen Rogala, and she preceded him in death.
 
Surviving are aunts and cousins.
 
There are no visitations or services at this time.

PELTIER, FRANKLIN G.
 
Franklin G. "Frank" Peltier, 79, 428 Burnham Drive, Fostoria, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, in The Independence House, Fostoria.
 
He was born May 31, 1923, in Fremont, to the late Frank and Rose (Frank) Peltier. On May 26, 1947, in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Fremont, he married Jean Agnes Hughes. She died June 19, 1999.
 
Surviving are five sons, Gary Peltier of Waynesboro, Va., Gregory and Dennis Peltier, both of Fostoria, David Peltier of Alexandria, Ohio, and James Peltier of Belgrade, Mont.; eight grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Donald Peltier of Fostoria and Frederick Peltier of Toledo.
 
He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman, Robert and Eugene Peltier; and a sister, Virginia Smith.
 
Mr. Peltier retired as vice-president of The Commercial Bank in Fostoria. A World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, he was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria; Third Degree Knight of Columbus Council 1197, Fostoria, and was
a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Fremont.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. The rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.  Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria, where the United Veterans of Fostoria will conduct military honors.
 
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.

RADER, BETTY JANE
 
  McCOMB -- Funeral services for Betty Jane Rader, 82, of McComb, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at   Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, the Rev. Rick Broughton officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union  Cemetery.
 
  Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
 
  Mrs. Rader died at 11:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center,  Findlay.
 
  She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Tecumseh, Mich. to Bert and Mabel (Carson) Trumpy. She married  Boyd "Tim" Rader on Dec. 24, 1937, and he died March 29, 2000.
 
  Surviving are two sons, Floyd of Fostoria; Arden of Lima; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Sue) Smith, McComb;  nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Don Trumpy, Findlay; Bill Trumpy, Crosby,  Texas; Bert Trumpy Jr., Fostoria; a sister, Ruth Powell, Fort Myers, Fla.
 
  She was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Trumpy; and a sister, June Trumpy.
 
  Mrs. Rader was a homemaker.
 
  She was a member of McComb Church of Christ, Hancock County Senior Citizens and McComb  Athletic Boosters.

  FRENCHTOWN -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Earl D. Reinhart, 62, of Berlin Center, and formerly   of Seneca County, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church,   Frenchtown, the Rev. Conrad Sutter, OFM Conv., officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, with  military rites by New Riegel American Legion.

  Mr. Reinhart died at 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at his residence.
 
  He was born Jan. 8, 1940, in Seneca County to Alvin and Rose Ann (Tiell) Reinhart. He married Agnes  Sours, and they were divorced.
 
  Surviving are two sons, Aaron of Beach Island, S.C.; Duane of Jackson, S.C.; two daughters, Paula  Reinhart, Aiken, SC.; Diane Reinhart, Gibsonburg; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six  brothers, Harold of Alvada; Francis of Tiffin; Maurice of Carey; Alvin Jr. of Kansas, Ohio; Silverius of  New Riegel; Ralph of Fostoria; and three sisters, Mrs. John (Joan) Meyer, Findlay; Mildred Biller,  Bloomville; Mrs. Henry (Helen) Reineck, Gibsonburg.
 
  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise.
 
  Mr. Reinhart was a construction worker and retired from Baycon Construction, Sandusky.
 
  He was a U.S. Army veteran.
 
  He was of the Catholic faith.

  FOSTORIA -- Funeral services for Ida Elizabeth Porter, 90, a resident of Good Shepherd Nursing  Home, Fostoria, and formerly of West Fremont Street, Fostoria, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at  Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria, the Rev. Branson Hawkes officiating. Burial will be in  Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
 
  Visitation will be held an hour before services Monday at the church.
 
  Mrs. Porter died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at Fostoria Community Hospital.
 
  She was born Jan. 26, 1912, in Risingsun to James L. and Lena B. (Rees) Carter. She married William  T. Porter on June 12, 1934, and he died Nov. 7, 1957.
 
  Surviving are two sons, John W. and William B., both of Washington, D.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Adnan  James (Elizabeth Ann) Shiblaq, Columbus; Christina Llewellyn, Silver Spring, Md.; Mrs. Paul (Sara Jane)  Reinhart, Berwick; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Carter,  Fostoria.
 
  She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas; a great-grandchild; a brother, Robert Carter; and three  sisters, Dorothy Doster, Annabelle Glunt and Juanita McLaughlin.
 
  Mrs. Porter retired in 1986 as Wesley United Methodist Church's organist after more than 36 years. She  was an elementary teacher at Holmes School in Fostoria from 1962-82 and co-owned and managed  Porter's Dry Cleaning, Fostoria.
 
  She was a 1929 graduate of Fostoria High School. In 1962, she received a bachelor's degree in  education at Bowling Green State University. She also attended Heidelberg College and Conservatory,  and Georgetown University.
 
  She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, American Guild of Organists, Fostoria  Education Association and St. David Welsh American Society. She was designated a "Jennings Scholar"  by BGSU.

REDDIN, WAYNE C.
 
Wayne C. Reddin, 76, of Van Buren Street, Fostoria, died 6:45 p.m. at The Goerlich Center in Sylvania.
 
He was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Henry County to the late John and Irene (Herr) Reddin. On April 9, 1949, he married Marilyn Stearns in Bloomdale.  She survives in Fostoria.
 
Other survivors include: three daughters, Sue Anne Hoy of Fostoria, Patricia Lynn Burkart of Toledo and Nancy Jean Stanley of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Grace Schneider and Virginia Stearns, both of Toledo, Mildred Klotz of Risingsun and six grandchildren.
 
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery,where Military Honors will be conducted by the Joint Veterans Group of Fostoria.
 

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.



PARKER, SANDRA K.
 
Sandra K. Parker, 41, of North Main Street, Fostoria, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, in her home. She was born August 8, 1961 to Conrad and Georgia (King) Parker, both parents survive in Fostoria.
 
Other survivors include: two brothers, Rickey and Jimmy Parker, both of Fostoria.
 
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at Knollcrest Gardens Cemetery near Arcadia.

Reffner, Walter B.
Former Fostorian

Walter B. Reffner died September 20, 2002 at age 76.

Loving husband of 51 years to Lee (nee Holman) Reffner. Dear father of Debby (Larry) Fairall, Jennifer Perry, and Lisa (Brad) Vaught.

Caring grandpa of Melissa (Josh) Korn, Michael Fairall, Stephanie Fairall, Michelle Perry, Misty Perry, and Faith Vaught.

Great grandpa of Gabrielle Korn.

Beloved brother of Wendell Reffner, Frances Riggs, of Fostoria, Ohio, and the late Emerson Reffner.

Caring son of the late Elmer and Elma (nee King) Reffner.

He worked as a building inspector with Hamilton Co., and was also a devoted member of the Montgomery Assembly of God, and the Hoffner F&AM #253. .

Services will be held on Monday September 23, 2002 at 11 A.M. at the Montgomery Assembly of God, 7950 Pfeifer Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45242, where friends will be received from 10 A.M. until hour of service.

Interment with Military Honors at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Evendale, OH.

Kathleen "Katie" Roth, 72, of 12151 W. Twp. Rd. 112, Fostoria, died 11:58 a.m. Monday, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
 
She was born June 3, 1930, in Fostoria, to Charles M. and Esther A. (Reinhart) Williams Sr., both are deceased. She married Bernard "Barney" Roth on April 26, 1949, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church.  He survives in Fostoria.
 
Other Survivors include: three sons, James "Mike" Roth of Fostoria, David C. Roth of Richmond, Va., Steven A. Roth of Tiffin; a daughter, Kathleen Gwiner of Fostoria; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles F. Williams of Fosstoria; a twin sister, Mrs. Charleen (Donald) Roth of Fostoria.
 
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Steigerwalt.
 
Mrs. Roth retired, after 29 years of service, from Allied-Signal in Fostoria, currently Honeywell.
 
She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and a 1948 graduate of St. Wendelin High School. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary in New Riegel Post 354 and Fostoria Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 430.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where the Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.

  ALVADA -- Eugene M. "Gene" Reinhart, 63, of 3855 U.S. 23 South, Alvada, died at 5:50 a.m.  Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at his residence.
 
  He was born Dec. 3, 1938, in Alvada to Simon and Christina "Betty" (Frankart) Reinhart, and his  mother, now Christina "Betty" Reinhart-Lafontaine, survives in Fostoria. He married Donna J. Nye on  July 16, 1960, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Alvada, and she survives.
 
  Also surviving are a son, Darin E. of Bowling Green; four daughters, Mrs. Mitch (Marjorie) Mitchell,  Findlay; Mrs. John (Lori) Orians, Alvada; Mrs. Andrew (Julie) Felter, Tiffin; and Mrs. Scot (Elaine)  Acree, New Riegel; 17 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers, Donald of Alvada; Floyd of  Sycamore; and Dale of Carey; two sisters, Mrs. Jim (Carolyn) Amburgey, Findlay; and Mrs. Joe  (Patricia) Stevens, Alvada; a stepbrother, Daniel Lafontaine in South Carolina; and a stepsister, Mrs.  Carl (Judy) Hucke, Carey.
 
  He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary C. Earl; and a stepfather, Lloyd Lafontaine.
 
  Mr. Reinhart retired in 1994 from Union Carbide, Fostoria, after 32 years. He also had been a school  bus coordinator and driver for New Riegel Schools from 1995-2000, and was a Seneca County farmer.
 
  He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its parish council, serving as eucharistic minister and  usher, and assisting with maintenance.
 
  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, the  Revs. David Reinhart, Leonard Kistler and Harry Cavanaugh and deacon Lewis Reinhart officiating.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
 
  Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a  Christian wake service will be held at 4 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the  church.

PRESLEY, MATTHEW ALAN
 
Matthew Alan Presley, 16, of McLean Street, Fostoria, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, as a result of a car accident on TR 112, in Seneca County.
 
He was born Jan. 14, 1986, in Toledo, to David A. Presley and Cherry A. Gutierrez, both of Fostoria.
 
Surviving are: his parents of Fostoria; a brother, Steven D. Presley, and a sister, Amanda M. Presley, both of Fostoria; paternal grandparents, Preston D. and Ruby Presley of Jacksboro, Tenn.; maternal grandmother, Alvina C. Augsberger of Bluffton; and a great-grandmother, Ola Wood of Jacksboro, Tenn.
 
Funeral liturgy will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria. Interment will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria.
 
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria.

PARSONS, MABEL V.
 
Mabel V. Parsons, 85, 175 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, formerly of Fostoria, died at 9:02 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, in
Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
 
She was born June 25, 1917, in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Rome L. and Ellen C. (Deal) Hamilton. On Nov. 21, 1939, in Gattlesburg, Ky., she married Alexis W. Parsons. He survives in Tiffin.
 
Other survivors include: two sons, Michael Lee Parsons of Wayne and Mark Duane Parsons of Bowling Green; two daughters, Mary Ellen Conger of Streetboro, Ohio and Carol Ann Woosley of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren, Karen Aichholz, Jeff Conger, Bob Lease, Jr., Laura Slogar, Joan Gangelhoff and Cheyenne Parsons; nine great-grandchildren, Sara and Chris Aicholz, Ashley and Joshua Conger, Julia, Jacob and Janelle Gangelhoff and Stephen and Jennifer Slogar; three brothers, Rome Hamilton, Jr. of Boynton Beach, Fla., Robert Hamilton of Sun City, Ariz. and Gene Alan Hamilton of Seminold, Fla., and two sisters, Dorothy  Corbin of Dunbar, W. Va. and Audrey Lee Russell of Austin, Texas.
 
Mrs. Parsons, a bookkeeper at several businesses in Fostoria, also was an Avon representative for over 30 years in the Fostoria Area. She was a member of the Avon Presidential Club and served as regional assistant director for Avon. She also was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Tiffin and its United Methodist Women.  She also volunteered for the American Red Cross Blood Program in Seneca County.  She was a graduate of Dunbar High School in West Virginia and a business school.
 
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9 in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Scott Blevins officiating.  Interment will be in Knollcrest Gardens, near Arcadia.
 
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

PIGGUE, JAMES L.
 
  James L. Piggue, 73, of Fostoria, and formerly of Cherry Street in Fostoria, died at 2:45 a.m.
  Friday, Dec. 20, 2002 at his residence.
 
  He was born July 6, 1929 in Lima to Elvin and Ada (Banks) Piggue. He married Rosemary "Pete" Tate  on March 7, 1955, and she died March 29, 1993.
 
  Surviving are a son, Keith Tucker, Fostoria; three daughters, LuAnn Cooper and Kris Tucker, both of  Fostoria; and Nanci L. Piggue, Toledo; five grandchildren; a brother, Willie of Detroit; and a sister, Ann Sengall, Fostoria.
 
  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Ernest; and a sister, Mary White.
 
  Mr. Piggue was a mechanic at Chrysler Corp., Fostoria, for 14 years.
 
  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
 
  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, AMVETS, VFW, American Legion and the first Emergency  Corps, all in Fostoria.
 
  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Marvin  Houston officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, with military rites by United Veterans  of Fostoria.

PICKETT, CLARENCE E.
 
   Clarence E. Pickett, 76, of 603 W. Fremont St., Fostoria, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25,   2002 at St. Francis Health Care Center, Green Springs.
 
  He was born Feb. 9, 1926 in Fostoria to John C. and Alice (Florea) Pickett. He married M. Anita  (Wasserman) Welch on Nov. 25, 1970 in Tiffin, and she survives.
 
  Also surviving are two stepsons, Ronald Welch, Litchfield, Maine; Kenneth L. Welch; a stepdaughter,  Mrs. Ronald (Lucille) Danilowicz, Whitesboro, N.Y.; a brother, Wayne of Stow; a sister, Mrs. Blaine  (Thelma) Blosser, Risingsun; four step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
 
  He was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Pickett.
 
  Mr. Pickett retired in 1986 from Union Carbide (now National Electric Carbon), Fostoria, after 36  years.
 
  He was a 1944 graduate of Fostoria High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He  was a member of New Riegel American Legion and Fostoria Senior Center.
 
  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in  Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, where military rites will be conducted by New Riegel American Legion.
