Brockschmidt, Geraldine M.

Geraldine M. Brockschmidt, 73, of 415 W. Smith St., Gibsonburg, died at 8:40 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, in Fremont Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1928, in Fostoria to Dexter and Genevieve (Kinn) Babb. On Feb. 5, 1949, she married Bernard W. Brockschmidt in Fostoria.

Survivors include: her husband of Gibsonburg; two sons, Robert B. of Fostoria, and Steven W. of Bowling Green; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven sisters, Laura Rowe, Elma Barchus, Mrs. David (Jean) Weiker, Mrs. Donald (Waunita) Fox and Mrs. Stewart (Janet) King of Fostoria, Wilma Best and Mrs. John (Rose) Michaels of Willard.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, with interment in St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.


Adelsperger, Harold

FOSTORIA -- Harold F. Adelsperger, 78, of 4894 N. County Road 25, Fostoria, died at 6:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at his residence.

He was born March 10, 1923, in Tiffin to Burton and Callie (Sellers) Adelsperger. He married Mary "Margaret" Hammer on July 21, 1951, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Gary of Fostoria; two daughters, Patricia Adelsperger, Vermilion; Mrs. Leo (Diana) Meidlinger, Canton; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil, Russel and Wilbur; and two sisters, Edna Sendelbach and Ethel Shultz-Smith.

Mr. Adelsperger retired in 1983 as a truck driver from Matlack Trucking Co. after 43 years. He also was a retired farmer.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and Eagles Lodge 430, both in Fostoria, Teamsters Local 20 and the farm bureau.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care Seneca County, St. Wendelin Church and schools or American Cancer Society.


Boff, Faith Ellen

Faith Ellen Boff, 60, of 6456 CR 55, Gibsonburg, died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at the James Cancer Center of Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus. She was born in Fostoria Jan. 22, 1941, to Harold and Elnora (Kibler) Needles, both of whom are deceased. She married Edwin R. Boff Oct.11, 1958, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. He survives in Gibsonburg.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Les (Lynn) Mintz of Gibsonburg; a sister, Joyce Drake of Tiffin; and a grandson.

Christian wake services will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Wednesday followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home.


Burkett, Pauline M.

Pauline M. Burkett, 80, of 124 Douglas St., died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in her home.

She was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Tiffin to Peter and Mary (Cooper) Bintz. Her first marriage was to Robert Warrington and he is deceased. She then married Melvin J. Burkett and he died July 9, 1986.

Survivors include: two sons, Randy Warrington of Fort Scott, Kan., and Larry Warrington of London, Ohio; two stepchildren, Dennis Burkett and Martina Burkett, both of Fostoria; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nadine Brookman of Fostoria.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home with burial in Fairmont Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.



 BAKER, DAVID
 
David Baker, 60, formerly of 1 Barcelona Drive, Fostoria, died at 4 a.m. Sunday, Jan.27, 2002, at St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
 
He was born Oct. 4, 1941, in Fostoria to Jesse and Mae (Ward) Baker.
 
Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy M. Baker and Ethel J. Johnson, both of Fostoria.
 
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesse Jr. and Frank.
 
Mr. Baker retired in 1996 from Atlas Inc., Fostoria, after more than 28 years.
 
He was a member of Tri-County Cruisers, Fostoria.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
 
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

BROWN, EDITH
 
Edith Brown, 87, formerly of 880 N. Loudon Township Road 47, Fostoria, died at 7:45a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
 
She was born March 21, 1914, in Petoskey, Mich. to Justin F. and Elizabeth S. (Steffel) Meister. She married Clifford Crick, who preceded her in death. She later married Edwin Merritt Brown, and he died June 26, 1998.
 

Surviving are two sons, Albert Brian Brown, Waterville; Bryce Justin Brown, North Lewisburg; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Brenda) Goshe, Fostoria; Mrs. James (Laura Elizabeth) Gorrill Jr., Southfield, Mich.; eight grandchildren; a brother, Edward Meister, Mount Pleasant, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. William (Alice) Miller, Kalamazoo, Mich.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Brown and Ruth Lustig.

A retired 30-year business woman, Mrs. Brown owned and operated Sundown Motel in Petoskey, Mich. She also had worked for Penn-Dixie Cement Co., Petoskey. She and her husband, Edwin Brown, had been partners in Merchants Credit Bureau, Fostoria.

She was a 1931 graduate of Petoskey High School

Mrs. Brown was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. She was an honorary member and had held many offices in Fostoria Woman's Club. She and her husband, Edwin Brown, were co-founders of Toastmasters, Fostoria.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Mark Bowers officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Parish Cemetery, Petoskey, Mich.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. A rosary also will be recited at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be made to St. Wendelin Schools Educational Foundation or Fostoria Woman's Club Scholarship Fund.


BOESEL, LISA MARIE

Lisa Marie Boesel, 27, of 4435 Township Road 45, Fostoria, died of natural causes at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 16, 1975, in Defiance to Curtis E. and Melanie S. (Monteith) Stewart. They survive in Deshler.

Also surviving are a son, Anthony James, at home; a daughter, Marilyn Sue Boesel, at home; three brothers, Kyle C. Stewart, Deshler; Albert Dimond, North Baltimore; Roger Leimgruber, Hoytville; four half brothers; four half sisters; paternal grandmother, Barbara Ellis, Ironton; and her fianc
