"It Runs in the Family ""It Runs in the Family" rated PG-13
A look at the highly successful Gromberg family in New York. After a stroke, Mitchell Gromberg (Kirk Douglas) tries to cope with life and his son Alex (Michael Douglas) and wild grandson Asher (Cameron Douglas). Mitchell looses his wife (Diana Douglas) and life becomes even stranger as the family tries to deal with life and become closer. Lots of laughs and some tears. Also stars Rory Culkin, Bernadette Peters, and Sarita Choudhury. Written by Jesse Wigutow, Produced by Michael Douglas, and directed by Fred Schepisi.
City of God "City of God" rated R
The City of God is a poor housing project started in the 60's that became one of the most dangerous places in Rio de Janerio by the beginning of the 80's. Buscape' (Alexandre Rodriques) is a poor black kid too frial and scared to become an outlaw. He discovers that he can see the reality of his violetn world thru a camera. This is the only thing that saves him. Like a documentary and subtittled. Also Stars Matheus Nachtergaele and Douglas Silva. Directed by Fernando Meirelles.
Anger Management "Anger Management" rated pg-13
Business man, Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler) has a argument with one of the fight attendants, charges are filed and he is sentenced to an anger management program. Dr. Rydell (Jack Nicholson) is the coordinator and he moves in with Dave, with all his lack of skills, and hits on Dave's girlfriend Linda (Marisa Tomei). It is a funny movie, some story and lots of laughs. Also stars Heather Graham, Kevin Nealon, and John C Reilly. Written by David Dorman and directed by Peter Segal.
A Man Apart "A Man Apart" rated R
Sean Vetter (Vin Diesel) and his partner Demetrius Hicks (Larenz Tate) were brought up on the LA streets but now work for the DEA, fighting a seven year war on drugs coming in through the US/Mexican border. The kingpin Cartel, Memo Lucero, fights back by going after Vetters' wife, Stacey (Jacqueline Obradors). Lots of blood and guts, but some story line. also stars Timoghy Olyphant, Steve Eastin, and Juan Fernandez. Written by Christain Gudegast and Paul Scheuring, and directed by F Gary Gray.
Phone Booth "Phone Booth" rated R
There is one public pay phone booth in new york, it is going to be torn down and a slick media consultant (Colin Farrell) get the last phone call on it. he is trapped in the phone booth after being told by a random caller - a serial killer with a sniper rifle - that he will be shot if he hangs up and tells who is on the phone. the police come and finally realize that he is not the crazy one. Really frustrating but exciting. Also stars Keifer Sutherland, Forest Whitaker, Katie Holmes and John Enos III. writen by Larry Cohen and directed by Joel Shumacher.

When a legendary commander (Samuel L Jackson) and several of his men turn up missing and dead the last thing the government wants is a DEA agent (John Travolta) investigating. John teams up with another investigating officer (Connie Nielsen) to find the missing men and who was responsible.. lots of adventure and nothing is as is seem. also stars Harry Connic, Jr, Taye Diggs, Andy Garcia and Tim Daly. Written by James Vanderbilt and directed by John McTieman.
The Core "The Core" rated pg-13.
Geophysicist Dr. Josh Keyes (Aaron Eckhart) discovers that an unknown force has caused the earth's inner core to stop rotating. The only answer is to go to the center of the earth with rockets. Keyes, along with a team of the worlds most gifted scientists make that journey. Also stars Hilary Swank, Bruce Greenwood, Stanley Tucci and Alfre Woodard. Directed by Jon Amiel.

A young woman Donna (Gwyneth Paltrow) lives in a small town and has large dreams. She dreams of flying and starts at a small service. She decides to go to an airline school and excell in her field, finds that all her dreams can come true, even if she does encounter some turbulence. A delightful movie, funny and compassionate. also stars Marc Blucas, Christina Applegate, Mark Ruffalo, Kelly Preston, Mike Myers, and Candice Bergen. Written by Eric Wald, and directed by Bruno Barreto.
Dreamcatcher "Dreamcatcher" rated R
Four young friends perform a herioc act, and in the process are transformed forever by receiving special powers. Years later, now grown up, the four reunite for a hunting trip in the Mainr woods. They have befriended, as children, a mentally challenged boy Duddits (Donnie Wahlber) who has special powers. The trip is interupted by a stranger, and some aliens and the friends must band together and battle them. The future of the earth hangs in the balance. Also stars Jason Lee, Damian Lewis, Tom Sizemore, Rosemary Dunsmore, and Morgan Freeman. Based on Stephen Kings' novel, the special effects are excellent. Written, produced and directed by Lawrence Kasdan.

After Jerry (Cuba Gooding, Jr" is dumped by his girl friend, Felicia, (Vivica A Fox) he goes into a real depression, Jerrys' friend Nick (Horatio Sanz) tried to cheer him up, suggesting a Caribbean singles' cruise. After an altercation with the the tour planner they are booked on an all-gay cruise ship. Surprisingly, Jerry meets and falls for a beautiful on-board dance instructor(Roselyn Sanchez). Also stars Will Ferrell and Roger Moore. Directed by Mort Nathan.
