Text Box: BRING YOUR THINKING CAP At our August Program meeting we are going to decide on programs for the coming year. Some ideas are: Habitat, combined presentation of other service clubs. But lets think of some FUN things… how to make stuff, sing-alongs, ???, etc. Text Box: New combined Business/Program meetings will be in the evening at 6:00pm to 7:30 pm on the THIRD MONDAY of each month. The meetings will continue to be held at Good Shepherd. (meal included). The board will meet separately on the FIRST MONDAY of each month. At our August Business/Board meeting it was decided that meetings will be held ONCE PER MONTH and in the EVENINGS. This was done to allow for Text Box: members to be active participants even if they have short lunch hours. Teachers, bankers and others find they cannot get away for noon meetings. ————————— We are planning a membership drive, so start thinking about asking persons who have had to decline because of lunch hour restrictions. Also perhaps those who belong to other clubs meeting at the same time as Altrusa. Text Box: MGM Casino Trip Fundraiser Decided for Oct. 16th Text Box: Tickets will be available for sale next month (September). Cost will be $20.00. On arrival, tripsters can decide whether to take $15.00 in chips to gamble (or turn into cash), or to take advantage of the buffet lunch. Text Box: Departure time: 8:00am Return time: 4:00pm for return arrival in Fostoria of about 6:00pm. We decided not to sell coffee and rolls ahead of time, but we are Text Box: still going to do the pop and snacks for the return trip.
