Heminger, 43, Helena, passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2005 after a year battle with breast cancer. Brenda grew up in Kansas, Ohio, and was a 1979 Lakota High School graduate. Brenda's survivors were: her husband of 23 years, Rob; sons, Shane A. and Dakota A., both of Helena; her parents Ray and Kay Haubert, Kansas; and brothers, Mitch (Deb) Haubert, Alabama; and Ray (Jean) Haubert, Kansas. She worked 22 years at Exel Logistics in Fostoria and was currently employed by Martin Marietta in Woodville. Brenda was a member of the Kansas United Methodist Church. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg, with pastor Ivan Schwenn officiating. Burial was in Kansas Cemetery. Memorials were encouraged to consider the American Cancer Society. Doyle M. Hickle, 55, died Jan. 4, 2005 at his residence in Dalton, GA. He was born to Leroy L. and Bonnie Hickle II and his father survived in Fostoria. He was survived by wife, Glenda Hickle, Dalton, GA; children, Thomas and Rocky Russell, both of Dalton, GA; Jamie Hickle, Kelly Hickle and Tracey Hickle, Shawn Tornow and Lance Tornow, all of Fostoria; brothers, Skip, Bruce, Jeff and Scott; and sisters, Deb Gillian, Connie Twiss and Lori Scott. Herringshaw, 79, Bowling Green, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005 at Fort Myers, FL. She was born to Carl and Ivadell (Shertzer) Lehman. She was survived by her husband, Rodger J. Herringshaw, Bowling Green; and sister, Harriet Metcalf, Waterville. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Earl Eugene "Bud" Hummel, 70, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 in Sun City, AZ. A former Fostorian, Bud had moved to Arizona to enjoy his retirement. Bud was born Oct. 28, 1934 to the late Earl R. and Frances (Allen) Hummel. Bud married Sandy Keller on June 29, 1957 in Fostoria and she survived in Sun City, AZ. He was also survived by five sons, Lenny (Deb), Wilmont, OH; Jeff, Brazil, South America; Todd (Cheryl), Nashport, OH; Scott, OH; Kenny (Sonia), Clinton, OH; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Beth) Sr., Fostoria; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, James and sister, Mildred (John Richard) Smith. A 1952 Fostoria High School graduate, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps soon after graduation, serving his country for four years. There was no visitation. Bert A. Hatfield, 78, of Fostoria, died at 12:15 a.m., Sunday, June 5, 2005 at his residence. Bert was born Jan. 22, 1927 in Perrysburg, Ohio. He was survived by close friends and caregivers, William and Jerianne Jeakle and Roger Hottenstein, all of Fostoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Norbert and Ila Marie (Blinn) Hatfield and wives, Beulah Adaline (Hammer) Hatfield and Ruth Marie (McGee) Hatfield. Mr. Hatfield was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years, retiring in 1987. A United States Navy World War II veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post 73, Amvets Post 69, and V.F.W. Post 421, all in Fostoria. There was no visitation or services. Iler, 82, Dade City, FL, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 at Manor Care of Carrollwood, Tampa, FL. She was born May 22, 1922 in Fostoria to Floyd and Blanche Cook. She married Loyal W. Iler and he preceded her in death. She was survived by son, Floyd Cook, Tampa, FL; sister, Mary Ellen Cook, Tampa, FL; granddaughter, Kristi S. and her husband Ronald Hoffbauer, Fostoria; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sister, Genevieve Lawless. Mrs. Iler was a photography store office manager. She moved to Florida 25 years ago. Hay, 82, formerly of Westhaven Drive, Fostoria, passsed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 in the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. She was born Dec. 1, 1922 in Delaware to the late Francis G. and Ethel (Curtis) Haas. She married Willard R. “Bill” Hay on Dec. 21, 1944 in Napoleon, and he died April 6, 1998. She was survived by a daughter, Teri L. (Ralph) Wise, Fostoria; a son, Willard R: “Bill” (Brenda) Hay, Jr., Fostoria; six grandchildren, Dale Rumschlag, Billy Hay, Kimberlee McClellan, Dawn Patterson, Tony Hay and Jessica Wise; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Susie Davis, Delaware; and two brothers, Frank Haas and James Haas, both of Delaware. She was preceded in death by per parents; a husband; a grandson, Douglas Rumschlag; a sister, Mary David; and a brother, John Haas. She retired from RCA, Findlay, and had worked at the Fostoria License Bureau. She belonged to St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Rosary-Alter Society and the Fostoria Woman's Club. Memorials were suggested to St. Wendelin Church and Schools. Robert S. Holcombe, 57, Bradner passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 at his residence. He was born Feb. 17, 1947 in Fremont to Durwood Richard and Marjorie Jane (Morrison) Holcombe. He married Angela Sue Hosman on Sept. 19, 1972 in Bradner. He was survived by his wife; a son, Zachary Floyd Eugene Hosman, Parma; three daughters, Desia Rae Heckathorne and Darci Rena Graber, Risingsun; Whitney Marie Holcombe, Bradner; three brothers, Richard M. Holcombe, Westchester; Ronald M. Holcombe, Erlanger, KY; and Russell T. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Holcombe had worked for Norfolk-Western Railroad for 7 years and also for Finkbinder, Peettius & Strout Construction Co., Toledo for 7 years. Harrison, 79, formerly of Fostoria, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005 at Longwood at Oakmont Retirement Community, Pittsburgh, Pa., where he was a resident. Dale was born July 26, 1925 in Fostoria, son of the late Floyd and Ruth (Piper) Harrison. He was survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary L. (Orne); three sons, D. Stephen (Dana), Plymouth, MN; Bradley F. (Jana), Newburgh, IN; Bruce D. (Diana), Woodbridge, VA; two sisters, Arlene (Eldon) Horner, Fostoria; Mrs. Donna Lahrman, Toledo; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A United States Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Harrison was a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, and Case Western Reserve Law School, Cleveland. He retired from Jones and Laughlin Steel, Pittsburgh, as a purchasing agent. Mr. Harrison was member of Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon, Elder and Trustee. He was also a member of the Pittsburgh Field Club, volunteered at St. Margaret Hospital, was active in the Boy Scouts and many other O'Hara and Fox Chapel Activities. He was born Sept. 4, 1909 in Jackson Township to Russell and Ada (Smith) Havens. His grandmother was Emma Betts Smith. He married Marguerite T. Pearson on April 9, 1932. She preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 1991. He was survived by children: Joan R. (Fred) Cooney, Burgoon; David R. (Karen), Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Jennifer (Claude) Schindorff, Burgoon; Betty Jo Cooney, Fostoria; David (Beth) Havens, Jonathan (Jennifer) Havens, Blacklick; James M. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Ruth E. Stump. Sherman graduated from Jackson Burgoon High School and was a lifelong farmer. He also worked at Basic Inc., Carbon Works, for the railroad and was a salesman. Sherman was a member of Burgoon United Methodist Church. Hutchins, 81, formerly of Fostoria, died at 8:15 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2005 in Birchaven Retirement Village, Findlay, where she resided. She was born March 31, 1923 in Stockbridge, WI. to the late Oscar and Ruby (Denney) Pilling. She married Robert F. Hutchins on May 4, 1946 at Martins Ferry, W.Va. and he died Feb. 17, 1987. She was survived by one daughter, Carolyn (James) Webb, Bowling Green; one son, Joel, (Jean Souder) Hutchins, Van Buren; six grandchildren, Jamie and Andrew Webb, Sean and Eric Hutchins, Christina Kern and Christopher Hutchins; six great-grandchildren, Robert, Allison, Brendan, Julia, Hallie and Matthew; and one sister, Caryl Schepanski, Racine, WI. She was also preceded in death by one son, Scott D. Hutchins. Mrs. Hutchins served in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps and later retired in 1970 as a registered nurse from Fostoria City Hospital. Ila was a 1944 graduate of St. Agnes School of Nursing, Fond du Lac, WI., she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Michelle Ann Heath-Jackson, 42, Carey died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005 at her residence. She was born to Wilson C. and Joyce A. (Coble) Heath. Bonnie June Jacquot, 75, formerly of Risingsun, died at 2:20 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2005 at St. Catherine's Care Center. She was born Sept. 22, 1929 in Hancock County to the late Ruben and Ruth (Butler) Morgart. She married Richard M. Jacquot on June 12, 1948 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church and he died Dec. 21, 1990. She was survived by four daughters, Dawn Aldrich and Joy (Earl) Morse, both of Risingsun; Renee (Jeffrey) Scherger, Fostoria; Lisa (Terry) Kille, Burgoon; two sons, Randall, Fostoria; Daniel, Risingsun; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Vincent, Illinois; and Joyce Steinman, Findlay. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard; one brother, Jack Morgart; and one sister, Gloria Morgart. Mrs. Jacquot retired in 1987 after 35 years from Allied-Signal, Fostoria (now Honeywell). She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, Sandusky Valley Doll Club where she had been a past treasurer, UAW Local #533 and a 1947 graduate of Fostoria High School. Hoskin, 89, Willard, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Willard Health Care Center, Willard. He was born Sept. 3, 1915 in Eden Township, Lorain County to the late Newton J. and Jessie (Davis) Hoskin. Mr. Hoskin was married July 3, 1938 to Belva Hawke who preceded him in death Dec. 3, 2004. He was survived by son, Robert E. (Mary), Tolland, CT; daughter, Sharon G. Tolson, Merritt Island, FL; four grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Leo (Cleo) Myers, Elyria. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley; and sisters, Ethel Gallup and Mita Carpenter. Mr. Hoskin started with the Columbia Gas Company in 1941 as a serviceman in Elyria. He was promoted to plant and service foreman in Norwalk in 1952, manager of Willard in 1961 and served as area manager from 1972 until retiring after 36 years in 1977. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Willard, former member of Willard and Fostoria Rotary and a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. Hilvers, Michael Eugene “Mike” Michael Eugene "Mike" Hilvers, 52, Wharton, died at 11:20 a.m. Monday, May 2 2005 at the emergency room at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. He was born March 10, 1953 in Findlay to Jack and Jetty (Pugh) Hilvers. He married Carol Schwickrath on June 8, 1973 and she survived in Wharton. He was also survived by daughter, Sheri Hilvers, Port Clinton; sons, John and Tony, both of Wharton; soon to be son-in-law, Albert Smallwood; maternal grandmother, Faye Pugh, Findlay; two grandchildren, Kreseana Smallwood and Heth Smallwood; brothers, Steven and Rick, both of Findlay; David (Anna), Carey; three sisters, Susan (John) Wildman, Galion; Jodie (Larry) McDannell, Sycamore; Diana (Charles) Wildman, Carey; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mike was a route salesman for Arnold Vending Company Inc. for the past 31 years with a territory of northwest Ohio including Bowling Green, Tiffin and Cygnet. He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Laura Krupp. Mr. Hubbard was a retired Fostoria City police officer of 29 years. A 1954 St. Wendelin High School graduate, he attended Terra Technical College studying criminal justice. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Hutchins, 42, James Marie Court, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2005 at Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1962 in Fostoria to Roland and Barbara (McElhaney) Hutchins. He married Kimberly Koonce on Jan. 28, 1990 in Ft. Campbell, Ky. Margaret Deer on Nov. 29, 1939 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Millersville, and she died July 6, 2005. He was born Jan. 17, 1926 in Findlay to the late Bert and Luetta (Rolston) Hanley. He married Donna Beeson on June 19, 1949 and they were divorced. He married V. Faye Hatfield on Feb. 9, 1957 in Angola, Ind., and she survived in Fostoria. Also surviving were daughters, Kathleen Hanley Long, Clearfield, Pa.; Pamela Lynn Waldman, Van Buren; and Freda E. Hanley, Fostoria; grandchildren, Chad, Jennifer, and Megan; great-granddaughter, Kennedy; and brothers and their spouses, Robert (Sue) and Claire (Velma), all of Fostoria. Daughter, Vicki Jo Hanley Marks, and brothers, Kenneth, Gene, and Bernard, also preceded him in death. Fred graduated from Fostoria High School in 1944 and joined the United States Army. He served with the 69th Infantry Division, Company A of the 273rd Regimen in the European Theatre during World War II from August 1944 to April 1947 receiving two bronze service stars. He was a member of the Fostoria Moose Lodge, holding various offices over the years, and the Maumee Valley Legion of the Moose #30. He had served on the Ohio State Civil Defense 52nd Mobile Support Group since 1954, holding several offices. The group is now known as the Fostoria Emergency Corps. Fred retired from Fostoria Community Schools where he was a sanitation engineer, and was past president and past treasurer of AFSCME Local 1945. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was born May 7, 1918 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late James and Jennie (Wyckoff) Wilson. She married Lawrence E. Henry on Sept. 21, 1941 in Fostoria, and he died May 23, 1996. A native Fostorian, Ronnie was born Dec. 16, 1950 to Lloyd and Joyce (Mansfield) Holman. He married the former Penny Statler and they were divorced. Mr. Hattendorf was a 1952 Fostoria High School graduate and a 1960 graduate of Bowling Green State University. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served from July 1954 to 1957 and obtaining the rank of sergeant. He retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company after 37 years. Charles Heckathorn, 81, Fostoria, died at 1:33 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005 at his home. He was born Feb. 3, 1924 in Fostoria to Donald and Dorothy (Kuhn) Heckathorn. He married Eveleth Sleen on Jan. 17, 1947 in San Diego, Calif. She was born July 24, 1913 in Wilkinsburg, PA to Peter and Ellen (Anderson) Schupp. She married Gerald Heinze on June 25, 1936 in Bettsville and he died in September of 1972. She was survived by daughters, Janice (Fred) Fernandez, Texas; Ellen Beach, Bluffton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mrs. Heinze was a retired school teacher. She taught in Loudon Township, Bettsville, and at Longfellow School in Fostoria. She was a 1931 Jackson Liberty High School graduate and a 1960 Bowling Green State University graduate. She was a member of Fostoria Woman's Club. Visitation is one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Ruth Treva Hills, 85, Findlay, died at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at The Heritage House in Findlay. She was born March 3, 1920 to the late Harold and Cathern Mae (LaRue) Lentz. On March 24, 1940, she married Clarence R. Hills and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1992. She was survived by: son, Dennis (Brenda), Ottawa; daughters, Janealla A. Smalley, Findlay; Joyce Droz, Switzerland; sister, Nellie (Robert) Gardner, Findlay; brothers, Kenneth Lentz and Homer (Marilyn) Lentz, both of Findlay; Jack (Alice) Lentz, Arizonia; sister-in-law, Ila Lentz, Findlay; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Step-brothers, Ralph (Shirley) Dewey and Raymond (Paula) Dewey, both of Findlay; and step-sister, Loretta (Keith) Farthing, Findlay, also survived. She was preceded in death by daughter, Twila Faryniarz-Lucas; along with brothers, Marion and Alva Lentz; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou and Jessie Lentz; step-father, Franklin Dewey; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Hills was a member of the Arcadia Church of God where her husband pastored for 24 years. They moved to Summersville, WV where Mr. Hills pastored the Summersville Church of God for four years. Mrs. Hills worked briefly for Automotive Fibers but was primarily a homemaker. She owned and operated the ABC Playschool, a day care center for 12 years. Hinkle, 74, Cherry Street, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at 5:30 a.m. at St. Catherine's Care Center in Fostoria. Mrs. Hinkle was born June 16, 1931 in Batavia, Ohio to Dewey and Della (Bowman) Fithen. She married Joseph Bingamon, and they divorced. She then married Floyd Hinkle on Jan. 13, 1953 in Kentucky and they divorced. She was survived by son, Michael (Cynthia), Fostoria; daughters, Mary (Michael) Vanhoose, Fostoria; and Juanita Wilson, California, her stepmother, Gertrude Fithen, Georgetown, Ohio; brothers Dewey, Jr., Cincinnati; Jay, Georgetown; sisters Jeanette Applegate, Dayton; Evelyn Sweet, Indiana; half sisters Jerri Armstrong and Sue Hollingsworth, both of Cleveland; and 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Hathaway, 82, Bradner, died at 9:25 p.m. Dec. 23, 2005 at her son's residence in Port Clinton. She was born Dec. 25, 1922 in Wood County to Earl and Lucille (Thomas) Molter. She married Don K. Hathaway and he passed away in 1963. She married Warren G. "Jim" Hathaway on May 24, 1969 in Bradner and he died June 12, 2005. She was survived by sons, Thomas K. Hathaway, Anchorage, AK; Robert E. Hathaway, Port Clinton; stepson, Warren J. Hathaway, Wayne; stepdaughter, Susan K. Englehart, Mentor; brother, R.J. Molter, Woodville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded also in death by one brother, Leo Molter. Mrs. Hathaway was a homemaker, who wrote many articles for the Sentinel-Tribune Newspaper.
