New Riegel native
Wilfred G. "Bill" Wagner, 79, formerly of
Main Street, Risingsun, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24,
2001, in the Grand Rapids Care Center, Grand Rapids, Ohio,
where he resided.
He was born Sept. 17, 1921, in New Riegel,
to Ross and Rose Wagner. On Oct. 4, 1952, in New Riegel, he
married Cleo M. Klotz. She died March 27, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Curtis R. Wagner of Risingsun;
three daughters, Sheila M. Sharp and Pamela L. Feller, both
of Fostoria and Ginger M. Wilson of Kansas, Ohio; two brothers,
Raymond and Ervin Wagner, both of New Riegel; a sister, Esther
Hark of New Riegel; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Also preceding him in death were four brothers,
Elmer, Maurice, Francis and Robert Wagner; and a sister, Lenora
Frankart.
Mr. Wagner, a member of St. Wendelin Catholic
Church, Fostoria, retired in 1980 from Pfizer Lime Plant in
Gibsonburg.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in
the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be
in Trinity Cemetery, near Risingsun.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home, where a Scripture service will take place at
7:45 pm..

FLORENCE O.
Florence O. Zender-Geretz, 82, of Port Clinton,
and formerly of Fostoria, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 25,
2001 at Ottawa County Riverview Nursing Home, Oak Harbor.
She was born Oct. 20, 1918 in Paulding to
Arza O. and Ethel (Gordon) Ferrell. She married Woodrow A.
Zender on Feb. 15, 1941, and he died Oct. 29, 1971. She then
married Michael J. Geretz on Oct. 19,1974, and he died Oct.
8, 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Helen)
Arnold, Port Clinton; two sons, James W. Zender, Sedona, Ariz.;
and Ralph A. Zender, Port Clinton; seven grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Hazel Bowyer, Kalamazoo,
Mich.; Ann Stolte, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Gladys Adamski, Payne;
and Doris Schlemback, Chicago, Ill.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon
Ferrell; and two sisters, Mary M. Ramsey and Carole Bredbeck.
Mrs. Zender-Geretz retired in 1980 from Ford
Motor Co., Sandusky, after eight years. She also had worked
20 years at Fostoria Autolite.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church, Port Clinton, and its Rosary-Altar Society
and Memorial Choir. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul
Volunteer and Senior Center Krafty Kuties, both in Port Clinton.
She also volunteered at Port Clinton WSOS
Senior Center for many years, and received the 1997 Volunteer
of the Year Award from WSOS.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Raymond Ensman
officiating. Graveside services will be held at 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday at St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. today
at Gerner-Wolf-Brossia-Marsh Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where
a Christian wake service will be held at 5 p.m.Visitation
also will be held an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

JoAnne Williams, 71, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday,
March 25, 2001, at her home at 3730 W. TR 158.
She was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Tiffin, to
the late Delbert J. and Helen G. (Wolf) Henninger. Her husband,
Charles R. Williams, Jr., whom she married Aug. 6, 1965, in
Tiffin, survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Ronald L.
Williams of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Alonzo (Shirley) Shultz
Jr. of Fostoria; two brothers, Calvin Henninger of Plymouth,
Minn. and Robert Henninger of Milan, Mich.; two grandchildren,
two step grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Michael C. Williams; and a grandchild,
also are deceased.
A 1947 graduate of Columbian High School,
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker.
The Rev. Scott Hayward will be the officiant
at the 1 p.m. Friday service in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral
Home. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday
at the funeral home.

WYANT, CHARLES
R.
Charles R. Wyant, 68, of East Center St.,
Fostoria, died Tuesday morning at his home.
He was born in Findlay, on May 12, 1932, to
Frank and Maggie (Morratt) Wyant. Both are deceased. On Sept.
3, 1960, in Findlay, he married Barbara Little, they later
divorced.
Survivors include: sons; Tracy Wyant of Garrett,
IN., Richard and Bill Wyant, both of Maumee, and Frank Wyant
of Fostoria, daughters Mrs. Tim (Susan) Altvater of Forest,
Shirley Kruszynski of Fostoria, and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers.
Service will take place 1 p.m., Friday, at
the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home and will be officiated by
Mark Bishop.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday,
at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dianne E. Ziegman,
58, of 2487 Courtly Road, Fostoria, will be celebrated at
11 a.m. Monday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday
at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian wake
service will be held at 4 p.m. A rosary will be recited at
10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Ziegman died Thursday, March 29, 2001
at her residence.
She was born May 24, 1942 in Fostoria. She
married Daniel H. Ziegman on Oct. 28, 1961 at St. Wendelin
Catholic Church, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Keith
(Amy) Stephens, Genoa; and Mrs. James (Beth) Reed, Findlay;
five grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Walker, Risingsun.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl
Walker.
Mrs. Ziegman was a certified registered nurse
with the Seneca County General Health District for 14 years.
She graduated from Fostoria High School in
1960, and received a nursing degree from Owens Technical College,
Toledo, in 1975.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic
Church, and its Cursillo, Marriage Encounter and RCIA programs,
and was a Eucharistic minister who distributed communion to
shut-ins and performed other various ministries of the church.
She also was a member of Emblem Club, Fostoria.

Wohlgamuth, Donald
D.
Donald D. Wohlgamuth, 74, formerly of 2000
Blanchard St., Findlay, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2001
at St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
He was born Jan. 29, 1927 in Carey to Orville
D. and Zella (Walters) Wohlgamuth. He married Norma Stone
in 1952, and they divorced.
Surviving are a son, Roger A. of Findlay;
a grandchild; a great-grandchild; a brother, Bill of Santa
Rosa, Calif.; and two sisters, Nina Blake, North Baltimore;
and Margaret Killbrew, Cordord, Tenn.
Mr. Wohlgamuth was a retired self-employed
carpenter.
He served with the 88th Cavalry recon group
of the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was a member of DAV Buddy Chapter 43 and
Ralph D. Cole Post 3 American Legion.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday
at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, the Rev. Chris Cravens officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Bloom Cemetery, Vanlue, where military
rites will be conducted by Hancock County Veterans Memorial
Squad.

Margaret L. Williams, 87, of 4275 N. Co. Rd.
43, Tiffin, died in her son's home on Wednesday, May 9, 2001.
She was born Aug. 11, 1913 to Earl and Emma (Gesaner) Arnold.
On Nov. 25, 1931 she married Charles R. Williams, Sr. He died
June 2, 1985.
Surviving include: three sons, Charles Williams,
Jr. of Bettsville, Joseph Williams of Tiffin, and Robert Williams
of Wilmer, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Cook of Tiffin; two
brothers, Vincent and Lewis Arnold, both of Tiffin; a sister,
Mrs. Marcella Winkler of Fostoria; a step-brother, Albert
Groves of Fostoria; three half-brothers, Bernard Arnold of
Bucyrus, Gerald Arnold of Port-Clinton, and Brian Arnold of
Fostoria; four half-sisters, Helen Gilliland of Imlay, Mich.,
Joyce Waldron of Carey, Mrs. Brenda Bullock of Alvada and
LaDonna Smiley of Ashville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren
and five great great grandchildren.
Deceased are: a son, Laurence Williams; a
step-mother, Agnes Vogel Arnold; three brothers, Robert, John
and Wayne Arnold; a sister, Betty Scherger; and a half-sister,
Delores Arnold; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams was a Homemaker and member of
St. Mary Catholic Church.
The Rev. Frank Murd will officiate the Graveside
Service at 12.:30 p.m. Saturday, at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Gordon R. West, 57, of 444 W. North St., Fostoria,
died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2001 at his residence.
He was born June 11, 1943 in Lima to Lowell
E. and Virginia (Pritchard) West. He married Paulette Swain
on Feb. 21, 1964 in Fostoria, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Brook G. of Fostoria;
and Ryan M. of Bloomdale; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Gena) Hammill,
Lima; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward L. of
Clyde; and Roger D. of Gainesville, Fla.
Mr. West owned and operated Reynolds Plumbing
& Heating in Fostoria since 1974.
He served in the U.S. Navy, and was at the
Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba.
He was a Fostoria junior baseball coach and
past member of Fostoria Redmen Club.
There will be no funeral services or visitation.

Dan H. Ziegman, 64, of Courtly Road, Fostoria,
died at 2:27 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2001, at St. Vincent Mercy
Medical Center in Toledo.
He was born Oct. 3, 1936, in Fostoria, to
Richard G. and Alma (Vanderhorst) Ziegman, and both are deceased.
On Oct. 28,1961, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria,
he married Dianne E. Walker, and she died March 29, 2001.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Keith
(Amy) Stephens of Genoa and Mrs. James (Beth) Reed of Findlay;
two brothers, Richard Ziegman of Tempe, Ariz., and Jack Ziegman
of Fostoria; and five grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Myron
Ziegman, and two sisters, Mary Hoffman and Jane Magers.
Mr. Ziegman was a veteran of the U.S. Marine
Corps and was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, St.
Vincent DePaul Society, a third and former fourth degree member
of Knights of Columbus Council 1197, Bureau of Concern, and
the Elks Lodge 935, all of Fostoria. Additionally, he was
a member of the REIA Team, Marriage Encounter, Cursillo, and
Eucharistic Minister, all of St. Wendelin Parish.
He was a 1954 graduate of St. Wendelin High
School and earned a bachelor's degree in 1985 from Tiffin
University.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place
at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with the rosary recited at 10 a.m.
in St. Wendelin Catholic Church. Burial will be in the parish
cemetery.
Visitation is 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home in Fostoria, with the rosary to be recited at
8:30 p.m.

John A. "Punk" Walter, 66, of 602 S. Union
St., in Fostoria, died at 1:45 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2001
in Medical College of Ohio.
He was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Fostoria to
John and Emma (Siebenaller) Walter, and they are deceased.
He married Carol (Coleman) Snyder and later divorced. He married
Denise (Stahl) Cook, and they divorced. His fiancee, Jean
Folk, survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include, six daughters, Mrs.
Mark (Jan) Oberst of Sylvania, Johnna Walter of Cleveland,
Mrs. John (Julie) Bodart of Findlay, Jennifer Herod of Fostoria,
Michelle Walter of Arcadia, and Mrs. Even (Heather) Ricker
of Bucyrus; four brothers, Bob Walter of Fostoria, Gene and
Myron "Butch" Walters, both of Fostoria, and Don Walters of
Minnesota; a sister Mrs. Jean (Emma) Beeson of Fostoria; and
11 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death also include: three
brothers, Paul, Harold, and Richard "Dick" Walters; and a
sister, Esther Belle Walters.
Mr. Walter, a U.S. Army Veteran, was employed
at Excello Corp., in Fostoria and later worked at Atlas Crankshaft,
and retired in 1990 after 29 years.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church
in Fostoria and a 1953 graduate of St. Wendelin High School.
Additionally, he was a member of Knights of Columbus Council
1197 3rd Degree and Fostoria Eagles Club Aerie 430.
The rosary will recited at 10 a.m., Tuesday
followed by services at 10:30 a.m., at St. Wendelin Catholic
Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mary A. Wheeler, 69, of Fostoria, died at
3:31 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
She was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Hunter, Okla.,
to Henry T. and Bernice (Canfield) Garner, both are deceased.
On March 1, 1950, she married Robert F. Wheeler in Goshen,
Ind. He died Nov. 19, 1992.
Surviving include: a son, Norman R. Wheeler
of Fostoria; two daughters, Carol A. McAfee, and Patricia
A. Spencer, both of Fostoria; two brothers, Wayne Garner of
Bradner, and Ted Garner of Fostoria; a sister, Lenora Roth
of Green Springs; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased include: four brothers, Tom, Bill,
Alvin and Merle Garner; two sisters, Daisy D. Corbin and Bessie
Rubel; and a granddaughter.
Mrs. Wheeler was a member of King Parish in

Viola E. Young, 81, resident of Good Shepherd
N.H. in Fostoria, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001.
She was born August 21, 1919 to George and Hattie (Smith)
Cook. She first married George Purtee, they divorced. She
then married Denver Young in Nov. 1951. He died Aug. 12, 1967.
Surviving include: two daughters, Mrs. Barb
Deuble and Mrs. Cathy Burris, both of Fostoria; two sisters,
Catherine Herod of Carterville, MO. and Martha Ellis of Tucson,
Ariz.; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five
step-grandchildren; and 14 step great-grandchildren.
Deceased include: a son; and three brothers,
Richard, Robert and Lewis Cook.
Mrs. Young retired in 1980 from Fostoria Distribution,
prior to that she worked as a nurse's aid at Fostoria Community
Hospital for 15 years.

a.m. Monday at the Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria with Jim
Sampson officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery.

Funeral services for Gerald E. "Jerry" Woodruff,
57, of 11787 W. Township Road 112, Fostoria, will be held

Mr. Woodruff died at 7:02 p.m. Friday, Aug.
24, 2001, at Toledo Hospital.
He was born Nov. 4, 1943, in Fostoria to Martha
Woodruff. He married Vickie L. Cole on Oct. 31, 1992, and
she survives.
Also surviving are a son, seven daughters,
six brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Woodruff was a maintenance worker at Fostoria
Townhouse Apartments.
He was a member of Girton Church of God, Risingsun;
and Eagles Lodge, Wapakoneta.

Funeral services for William F. "Bill" Whiteman,
59, of 1087 Columbus Ave., Fostoria, will be held at noon

Mr. Whiteman died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept.
1, 2001, at his residence.
He was born July 26, 1942, in Tiffin to Frederick
W. and Doris E. (Clements) Whiteman. He married Sharon K.
Snay on Jan. 21, 1977, and she survives.

Whiteman, Findlay; two brothers, Rick D. of Ukiah, Calif.;

Madgie E. and Bill Sparks, survive in Delbarton, W.Va. She
married Leonard L. Ziessler on Aug. 29, 1958 in Findlay, and
he survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joseph
(Cindy) Fekete, Columbus; Taunda Ziessler, Findlay; Pamela
Thompson, Marysville; a son, James L. of Findlay; 10 grandchildren;
a great-grandchild; three brothers, William Arthur Sparks,
Findlay; Douglas MacArthur Sparks, Mount Blanchard; David
Sparks, Mooresville, Ind.; and six sisters, Virginia Bradley,
in Kentucky; Mrs. Norbert (Shirley) Lang, Carey; Mrs. Carlos
(Kaye) Thompson, Fostoria; Mrs. Clifford (Helen) Gibson, Arcadia;
Mrs. James (Jo Ann) Johnston, Findlay; and Mrs. Roger (Rosie)

She was preceded in death by an infant son,
Billy J.; a granddaughter; and two brothers, Everett "Bud"
and Billy James Harrold.
Mrs. Ziessler was a homemaker.
She attended First Assembly of God and was
a member of the DAV Auxiliary. She volunteered as a youth
minister on a counseling hotline in the 1980s, and was a former
substitute school crossing guard.

Daniel L. "Buddy" Wagner, Jr., 38, of Texas,
died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, at Lewisville Hospital in Lewisville,
Texas, of cancer.
He was born July 19, 1963 in Tiffin to Donna
J. and Daniel L. Wagner.
Survivors include his mother, Donna J. Gerber;
a grandmother, Rosemary Gerber; two sisters, Laura Sims of
Fostoria; and Nicole L. Hunt of Napoleon.
Deceased is his father, Daniel L. Wagner;
grandparents, Donald I. Gerber, and Sylvestor V. and Lois
M. Wagner.
Mr. Wagner was involved on the internet and
an active member of the N.R.A.

WATSON, LEONA
C.
Leona C. Watson, 87, of 168 Westwood Drive
in Tiffin, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, after a sudden illness.
She was born April 23, 1914, in Seneca County,
to the late Grover C. and Maude I. (Corthell) Miller. She
married Virgil O. Watson on Feb. 15, 1936, in Waterville,
Ohio. He died June 24, 1993.
Survivors include: three sons, Thomas E. Watson
of Tiffin, Robert G. Watson of Republic, and William L. Watson
of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Barbara Kay) Stinebaugh
of Plymouth, Mich. and Mrs. Harold (Mary Ann) Helfer of Findlay,
a sister, Jean Lloyd of Dearborn, Mich., a6 grandchildren
and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters,
Leath Mount and Mary Alice Smith.
Mrs. Watson worked for more than 25 years
at General Electric in Tiffin as a winder and retired in 1979.
She was a member of St. Jacobs United Church of Christ and
its Ladies Guild, and the G.E.-Wats Club. She was a 1932 graduate
of Tiffin Columbian High School and a l934 graduate of Bowling
Green State University.
She was also an avid horse racing enthusiast.
The Rev. Ben Archer will officiate services
at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Jacobs United Church of Christ in
Republic. Burial will be in St. Jacobs Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the
Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home in Bloomville.

NEW RIEGEL -- Fredericka C. Wagner, 86, of
8845 W. Township Road 96, New Riegel, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday,
Sept. 21, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 10, 1914, in New Riegel
to Stephen and Theresa B. (Frederick) Coleman. She married
Francis A. "Shakey" Wagner on Oct. 12, 1940, at St. Peter
Catholic Church, Alvada, and he died Oct. 10, 1992.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Don (Janet)
Davis, Bloomville; LaDonna Poignon, New Riegel; Mrs. Robert
(Barbara) Castelan, Republic; six sons, Kenneth E. Coleman,
Wapakoneta; Ronald S. Sr. and Richard A., both of Fostoria;
Gerald E. of Tiffin; Bernard F. of Arcadia; Stephen J. of
Bellevue; 36 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; two sisters,
Mrs. Richard (Zita) Wickiser, Arcadia; Bea Morrison, Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild;
eight brothers, Floyd, Lawrence, Clarence, Edmund, Stephen,
Silverius, William and Francis Coleman; three sisters, Ida
and Angeline Bentz, and Viola Dickens. Mrs.
Wagner was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic
Church, New Riegel, and its Rosary Altar Society.
She was a 1933 graduate of Vanlue High School.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated
at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Leonard Kistler,
C.P.P.S. officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Sunday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian
wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited
at 12:40 p.m. Monday at the church.

Robert Vera, 43, of 22911 SR 12, Fostoria,
died Tuesday Oct. 2, 2001, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center,
Toledo.
He was born July 12, 1958, in Tiffin, OH,
to Vincent and Lupe (Lara) Vera. They survive in Tiffin. On
May 2, 1987, in Tiffin, OH he married Lynn Williams, who also
survives.
Other survivors include: children, Risha Vera
and Bobby Vera, both at home in Fostoria; a brother, David
Vera of Carey, OH; six sisters, Lupe Rodriquez, Mrs. Bob (Gloria)
Hayes, Mrs. Jim (Sue) Schock and Mrs. Jon (Josie) Nutter,
all of Tiffin, Mrs. Dave (Alice) Keefe of New Riegel, OH and
Mrs. Jerry (Marty) Boehler of Perrysburg, OH and grandmother,
Clara Vera of Tiffin.
Two sisters, Clara and Virginia Vera, are
both deceased.
Mr. Vera, a 1976 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon
High School, was employed as a service advisor for Graff Auto
Mall. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday Oct.
5, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, with the rosary
recited at 9:45 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Art Niewiadomski will
officiate. Burial will be at 6 p.m. Monday Oct. 8, in St.
Patrick Catholic Cemetery.

Helen L. Yoder, 95, of Fostoria, died at 3:45
p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Toledo Hospital.
She was born June 30, 1906, in Kansas, Ohio
to the late Phillip and Deliah (Humbert) Hedden. She married
Harold "Ovid" Yoder on April 3, 1923, in Tiffin. He died Jan.
31, 1973.
Survivors include: two sons, Dale and Robert
Yoder of Kansas; two daughters, Lois Feasel of Fremont and
Mary Lou Drenning of Fostoria; a brother, Lawrence Hedden
of Tiffin; a sister, Pauline Pasch of Fremont; 14 grandchildren
and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Services
will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harrold-Floriana

Paul R. Wonderly, 79, of Fostoria, died at
3:35 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at his residence.
He was born June 6, 1922, in Tiffin to Albert
and Sarah (Bell) Wonderly, Sr. He married Margaret H. Jacquot
on Aug. 2, 1947, in Fostoria, and she survives along with
five daughters, William (Ginny) Nieset of New Port, MI, Michael
(Suzanne) Patrick of Bascom, Robert (Rita) Hathaway of Port
Clinton, Gene (Barb) Stooudinger of Risingsun, and Mark (Mary
Jo) Durst of Fostoria; 10 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter
and three sisters, Rose Gabel of Lucie, FL Robert (Theresa)
Kirk of Findlay, and Alvin (Kathleen) Faeth of New Riegel.
Mr. Wonderly was a World War II Army veteran.

Brenda J. Rummel, Rudolph; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
and two sisters, Winifred Carnicom, Fostoria; and Marilyn
Taberski, Parachut, Colo.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas
E.; two brothers; and three sisters.
Mr. Whitacre was a farmer.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Ruth E. Young, 74, of 660 Buckley St., Fostoria,
died at 1:25 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001 at St. Catherine
Care Center. She was born May 16, 1927 to Ralph and Maude
(Ringle) Thomas. On May 2, 1952 she married Herman L. Young
in Fostoria. He died February 17, 1989.
Surviving include: a son, Herman L. Young,
Jr. of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda Barchus and Ruth
Heath, both of Fostoria; a sister, Bertha Rowe of Fostoria;
three brothers, Albert and David Thomas, both of Fostoria,

married J. Joe Wolfe on April 11, 1969, at St. Wendelin Catholic
Church, and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, Kevin Joseph of
Kenton; a daughter, Christine Nicolle Wolfe, Arcadia; a grandchild;
two step-grandchildren; and a brother, Gary W. Snavely, Fostoria.
Mrs. Wolfe was a registered surgical nurse
for 30 years at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay
Orthopedics and Fostoria Community Hospital.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic
Church and its Rosary Altar Society, Fostoria Community Hospital
Women's Auxiliary and Van Buren Lions Club.
She was a 1964 graduate of St. Wendelin High
School and a 1967 graduate of St. Rita's School of Nursing,
Lima.

Herman S. Zoeller, 87, of 4919 W. US 224,
Tiffin, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 6, 1914, in Seneca County
to Francis and Anna (Clouse) Zoeller. Both are deceased. He
married Marie Strausbaugh on May 21, 1938, in St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Tiffin and she survives.

Jerry Zoeller of Tiffin and Tim Zoeller of Fostoria, three

(Dorothy) Osterwalder of Tiffin, and Mrs. Dan "Spud" (Judy)
Miller of Tiffin; three brothers, Elmer Zoeller of Tiffin,
brother Maurice Zoeller of St. Meinrad, Ind., and Bernard
Zoeller of Kenton; three sisters, Wilhemina Smith of Tiffin,
Mrs. Arthur (Marie) Breidenbach of Tiffin and Mrs. Dick (Emma)
Hoover of Tiffin; 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Deceased include: a son, Billy Zoeller, brothers,
Ernest, Alfred and Francis Zoeller, Jr., and sisters, Erma
Houck, Marcella and Dorene Zoeller.
Mr. Zoeller was owner of Zoeller Coal since
1943 and retired after 25 years. He was a life-long farmer
and an avid euchre player. Memberships included: Knights of
Columbus, Moose Lodge-New Riegel; Holy Name; St. Mary Catholic
Church and the Farm Bureau. He was an honorary member of Hopewell
Loudon FFA.
The rosary will be prayed at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday
at St. Mary Catholic Church followed by services at 10 a.m.

He was born Jan. 20, 1941, in Fostoria to
Clarence E. and Mildred L. (Hull) Vanderhoff. He married Joan
M. Phipps on June 8, 1963, in Fostoria, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Felix E. of Bowling
Green; a daughter, Maggie M. Vanderhoff, Toledo; three grandchildren;
and a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Sharon) Heilman, Fostoria.
Mr. Vanderhoff retired in 1993 from Allied
Signal (now Honeywell), Fostoria, after 32 years.
He attended Wesley United Methodist Church,
Fostoria. He was active in scouting, and was a member of UAW
533, Fostoria.
He was a 1959 graduate of Fostoria High School
and attended Miami University, Oxford, where he was a member
of Theta Chi fraternity.

Sue Rhoades on July 28, 1962, in Carey, and she survives.

grandchildren; three brothers, John, Tom and Earl, all of

Mr. Wenzinger drove a truck for Mennel Milling

Larry L. Welty Sr., 55, of Risingsun, died

L. and Verneda D. "Peggy" (Barlekamp) Welty.He married Kathie
L. Taulker on Jan. 12, 1968, and she survives.

Mr. Welty retired in 1999 as a maintenance
milling engineer at Mennel Milling, Fostoria, after 37 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam
War, serving from 1967-1970 aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln
Nuclear Polaris Submarine 602. He was stationed at New London,
Conn., and Glasglow, Scotland.
He was a 1964 graduate of Lakota High School.
He was a member of Grain Millers International
Union 58C for more than 20 years, and also served as head
union steward. He was a member of Albert Bowe American Legion
Post 338, Bradner, and Fostoria Eagles Lodge 430.
He was cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 335, Risingsun,
for 10 years, and was a counselor for drug and alcohol abuse
through the pack.
He was affiliated with St. Paul's United Methodist
Church, Risingsun, and Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville.

in Ravenna. He married Robin Bohmer, and they were divorced.
He married Nancy Ausburger on May 11, 1998 in Ravenna, and
she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Chris and Frederick,
both of Newton, N.J.; a daughter, Dawn Wilson, Katy, Texas;
two stepdaughters, April Feindel, Fostoria; and Holly Wildman,
Amsden; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry
Wilson; and a sister, Nancy Wilson-Clemmens.
Mr. Wilson was a substitute bus driver for
Fostoria Community School District and School of Opportunity,
Tiffin. He retired in 1995from HyWay Trucking, Findlay.
He attended Upper Room Tabernacle, Tiffin.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
