Floyd R. ''Pete'' Parmenter, 77,
of 631 N. Main St., Fostoria, died at 5:48 p.m. Friday, Jan.
1, 1999, at his residence.
He was born March 9, 1921, in Bradford,
Pa., to Floyd R. and Mary (Ball) Parmenter, who are deceased.
He married Charlotte Stump Sept. 10, 1943, in New Orleans, La.
In addition to his wife, he is
survived by: two daughters, Mrs. Jean Parmenter Seel of Fostoria
and Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie) Hancock of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren,
Charlotte, Elizabeth and Mike Seel; and a sister, Wilda Martin
of Florida.
Mr. Parmenter served in the Navy
during World War II, flying in the South Pacific Fleet as a
Lt. Naval Aviator. He was the owner of Parmenter Drilling Co.
for 46 years, retiring in 1992. A member of First Presbyterian
Church, he was a deacon and elder of the church. He was a member
of the SAE Fraternity at Bowling Green State University, a former
member of Fostoria Kiwanis, and past president of Fostoria Athletic
Boosters.
The Rev. R. Edson Reed will officiate
at the 3 p.m. Monday funeral at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home,
Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, where
military graveside services will be conducted by United Veterans
of Fostoria.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday
at the funeral home.

Fostoria homemaker
Ruth Pfaltzgraf, 91, died Sunday,
Jan. 17, 1999, in the Good Shepherd Nursing, Fostoria, where
she resided.
She was born in Bellefontaine,
April 11, 1907, the daughter of Edward and Ella (Connerly) Conover.
Her husband, George E. Pfaltzgraf, who she married Aug. 27,
1927, died Dec. 26, 1974.
Survivors include: four grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Lorrell
Pfaltzgraf of Findlay.
Preceding her in death were her
son, Ralph Pfaltzgraf; a brother, Leroy Conover; and two sisters,
Mary Fravel and Dorothy Conway.
A homemaker, Mrs. Pfaltzgraf was
a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a former member
of the Fostoria Women's Club. She graduated in 1925 from Worthington
High School.
Graveside services in Memory Gardens,
near Arcadia will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Jeffrey
L. Waite officiating.
There will be no visitation. The
Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, is incharge of arrangements.

Marcella M. Potteiger, 87, of 200
McKinley Drive, Findlay, died at 2:55 p.m. Thursday, April 8,
1999, at her home.
She was born Oct. 29, 1911, to
John and Emma (Geckle) Rumschlag in Fostoria.
Survivors include: her husband,
Theodore Potteiger of Findlay; sons, Ronald L. Potteiger of
Tiffin, John F. Potteiger of Fostoria, Charles E. Potteiger
of Fostoria, Theodore "Pete" Potteiger Jr. of Findlay, Floyd
E. Potteiger of Van Buren and Terry Potteiger of Findlay; daughters,
Darlene Nagle of Houston, Texas, Frances Dallen of Las Vegas,
Nev., and Deborah Kroeschel of Stafford, Va.; brothers, Floyd
Rumschlag of Fostoria, Henry Rumschlag of Toledo, Orland "Tubby"
Rumschlag of Fostoria, and John Rumschlag of New Riegel; a sister,
Eleanor Moffit of Fostoria; 36 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren,
and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers,
Raymond Rumschlag and Charles Rumschlag, a sister, Margaret
Clemens, and a son, Robert E. Potteiger.
Mrs. Potteiger was a member of
St. Michael's Catholic Church in Findlay.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Monday at the St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. Interment
will be in the St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery

Assistant Fostoria postmaster
Kenneth Pingle, 82, of 509 Short
Elm St., Fostoria, died in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital,
Toledo, at 2:43 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 1999.
He was born in McComb June 8, 1916,
to Grover and Jeniveve (Zuber) Pingle. His wife, Inez (Snyder)
Pingle, whom he married Feb. 20, 1938, in Fostoria, survives
in Fostoria.
Also surviving are two sons, Karl
K. Pingle of Mountain View, Calif., and Rex E. Pingle of Annapolis,
Md.; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul
Pingle of Denver, Colo.; and two sisters, Constance Jones of
Findlay and Mary Pullins of Greenville.
Four brothers, Frank, Robert, Clarence
and Harry Pingle, and a sister, Kathryn Hobart, also are deceased.
Mr. Pingle, who started the free
Income tax service for elderly and low income in Fostoria, had
been employed as assistant postmaster at the U.S. Post Office
in Fostoria, where he had worked for 40 years.
A member of the First Presbyterian
Church, Fostoria, where he served as elder and deacon and Sunday
school treasurer, he also worked at the Sharing Kitchen and
drove for Meals on Wheels, both in Fostoria.
He also served as treasurer at
the Bureau of Concern in Fostoria for many years.
The Rev. R. Edson Reed will conduct
the 2 p.m. Thursday service in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Dean B. Powell, 86, of 1205 CH
96, Carey, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday May 28, 1999, in the Wyandot
County Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.
He was born in Crawford Township,
Wyandot County, Oct. 16, 1912, to Fred S. and Stella R. (Brown)
Powell. His wife, Evelyn E. (Schade) Powell, whom he married
June 7, 1935, preceded him in death Dec. 11, 1993.
Several nieces and nephews survive.
A 50 year member of Carey Lodge
420 Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Mr. Powell retired from
Bendix-Autolite in Fostoria, after 11 years of employment. Prior
to that he worked 19 years at Porcelain Products in Carey.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran
Church, Carey, the Pioneer Club, Indian Mill Antique Association,
Upper Sandusky and UAW Retired Workers Union Chapter 533.
He also was a member of the following
Masonic Bodies: Carey Chapter 159 Royal Arch Mason of Ohio where
he served as past high priest; Upper Sandusky Council 98 Royal
and Select Mason of Ohio, 32nd degree Mason and life member
of Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo and Warpole Chapter 366 Order
of Eastern Star, Upper Sandusky.
The Rev. Paul DeMoss will be the
officiant at the 11 a.m. Wednesday service in Christ Evangelical
Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Spring Grove Cemetery,
Carey.
Visitation at the Stombaugh Memorial
Funeral Home, Carey is 6-9 p.m. today, where Masonic services
will be at 8:30 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Former Fostoria resident
Daniel M. Patterson, 71, of San
Diego, Calif., died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at
his residence.
He was born March 26, 1928, in
Fostoria to Michael and Stella (Huth) Patterson.
Survivors include: a daughter,
Jane Marie Lavoie of Victoria, British Columbia; three sons,
Michael, Dr. Thomas E. and Daniel M. Jr., all of San Diego;
four grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jo Cassidy of South Charleston.
He was preceded in death by three
brothers, Richard, John and Arthur; and a sister, Margaret J.
Dell.
Mr. Patterson retired from the
Consumer Credit Industry, Finance Companies; was a member of
the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Poway, Calif.; a former
member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria; and a U.S.
Navy veteran.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30
a.m. Monday in the St. Wendelin Catholic Church with burial
following in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 2-4 p.m.
Sunday at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. Rosary will be
recited at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Jean Agnes Peltier, 73, of 428
Burnham Drive, Fostoria, died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday June 19,
1999, in the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
She was born in Fremont, Jan. 21,
1926, the daughter of Bernard and Clara (Hillyer) Hughes. Her
husband, Franklin "Frank" Peltier, whom she married May 26,
1947, in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Fremont, survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: five sons,
Gary Peltier of Waynesboro, Va., Gregory and Dennis Peltier,
both of Fostoria, David Peltier of Alexandria, Ohio and James
Peltier of Reno, Nev.; a sister, Marian Gaertner of Sun City,
Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
A homemaker, Mrs. Peltier was a
member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria and its Rosary
Altar Society. She was a 1944 graduate of Fremont Ross High
School.
A memorial Mass will be at a later
date. There will be no visitation. Her body has been donated
to the Anatomical Department of the Medical College of Ohio
Hospital, Toledo.

Lois M. Parsell, 78, formerly of
Walnut Street, Fostoria, died at 2:35 p.m. Sunday, July 25,
1999, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
She was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Forest,
to Guy W. and Etta M. (Wurtzbaugh) Bash. On March 31, 1945,
in Forest, she married Lawrence F. Parsell, who died June 9,
1985.
Surviving are a son, Gordon F.
Parsell of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Linda) Beckford
of Fostoria; a brother, Dallas Bash of Bluffton; a sister, Sevilla
Fisher of Hot Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were
a brother, Stanley Bash; and two sisters, Pauline Radabaugh
and Jenny Jacobs.
Mrs. Parsell, a homemaker, was
a member of High Street United Methodist Church, Fostoria.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday
in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev.

Mr. Peace died at 10:30
a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999 at Henry Ford Medical Center in
Detroit, Mich.
He was born July
18, 1955 in Pineville, Ky. to Jack and Ostolla "Sally" (Hoskins)
Peace. His mother, Sally Baker, survives in Fostoria. He married
Natley J. Miller on Feb. 14, 1984 in Fostoria, and she survives
in Fostoria.
Also surviving
are four sons, Tod of Columbus; Matt, Jason and Andrew, all
of Fostoria; two stepsons, Tod Bartley, Fostoria; Terry Bartley,
Charleston, W.Va.; a stepdaughter, Melissa Bartley, Fostoria;
two brothers, Don of Temple, Texas; two sisters, Regina Scott,
Sharon Young, both of Fostoria; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Peace
was a retired food service manager.
He served
in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Margaret L. Riser, 78, of 216 E.
Clark St., Fostoria, died at 3:20 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 1999,
in Fostoria Community Hospital.
She was born Jan. 17, 1920, in
Darlington, S.C., to Roosevelt and Martha Benton. She married
Ernest Riser July 30, 1973, in Tiffin.
Surviving are: a son, Thomas L.
''Rickie'' Tucker of Fostoria; two step-sons, Emanuel and Gabriel
Riser of New Jersey and New York, respectively; a step-daughter,
Jackie Hill of Pittsburg, Pa.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;
and two sisters, Carrie Bailey and Bertha Benton, both of Winston
Salem, S.C.
She was preceded in death by: her
parents; her husband, who died Oct. 11, 1996; a brother, Theodore
Benton; and a sister, Lorena Covington.
Mrs. Riser was retired after 30
years as a welder at General Electric in Tiffin. She was a volunteer
at the Sharing Kitchen and a member of First Baptist Church,
where she was active in the Mothers Board, Missionary Society
and as a pastor's aide.

funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church,
534 Lynn St., Fostoria. Interment will be in Memory Gardens,
Arcadia, Ohio.

Russell ''Russ'' Roberts, 53, of
305 Fasig St., Forest, died at 4:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 1999,
in Baldwin Manor, Kenton.
He was born in Toledo, May 17,
1945, to the late Nelson D. and Thelma G. (Clapp) Roberts. He
was formerly married to Andrea Bond-Paugh.
Survivors include: his companion,
Viola Altvater of Forest; a son, Russell ''Butch'' Roberts Jr.
of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Eric (Sharon) Emerine of Findlay
and Christina Roberts of Fostoria; 11 grandchildren; two brothers,
David Roberts of Florida and Carlton Roberts of Grand Rapids,
Ohio; and two sisters, Sharon Sloan of Florida and Mrs. Jim
(Karen) Holman of North Carolina.
Mr. Roberts, a U.S. Army veteran,
having served during the Korean Conflict, had worked at Heinz
in Bowling Green, at Atlas in Fostoria for 19 years, and for
the city of Forest for five years.
There will be no service. Burial
will be in Custer.

at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Eileen H. Rader, 80, formerly of
240 Banister St., Fostoria, died at 6:27 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25,
1999, in the Independence House, 1000 Independence Ave., Fostoria,
where she resided.
Born Nov. 12, 1918, in Fostoria,
to Edward and Iva (Drake) Beck, she married Donald P. Rader,
May 3, 1946, in Columbus. He is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Paul E. Rader
of Fostoria; and a daughter, Marcie E. Rader, also of Fostoria.
Also preceding her in death were
two sons, Timmy and Tommy Rader.
Mrs. Rader, a 1936 Fostoria High
School graduate, had been employed at the Electric Autolite
(now Allied Signal), Fostoria. She also worked as a cafeteria
worker for 10 years for the Fostoria Community Schools.

be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Barbara J. Reinhard, 65, of North
Vine Street, Fostoria, died in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital,
Toledo, at 12:40 p.m. Saturday April 10, 1999.
She was born in Fostoria, April
5, 1934, to the late Aaron and Maude Ivy Barnes. Her husband,
Roger D. Reinhard, whom she married Sept. 12, 1952, in Fostoria,
survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: three daughters,
Jody Lynn Fetro, Mrs. Brian (Jill Shannon) Brickner and Jina
LeAnn Reinhard, all of Fostoria; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were
a son, Jeffrey Aaron Reinhard and a brother, Lawrence Paul McCarthy.
Mrs. Reinhard, a 1952 graduate
of Fostoria High School, had been employed as a floral artist
and designer at Flowerland in Fostoria.
She was a member of High Street
United Methodist Church, Fostoria, where she had been very active
in the church choir, as a soloist, a trustee and in many other
positions in the church.
The Rev. Jeffrey L. Waite will
be the officiant at the 1 p.m. Wednesday service in the High
Street United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Memory
Gardens, near Arcadia.

Gladys L. Ridge, 96, died Wednesday,
May 5, 1999, in the Independence House, Fostoria, where she
resided.
She was born in Benton Ridge June
26, 1902, to Agustus and Cora (Powell) Hickman. Her husband,
Melvin Ridge, whom she married Sept. 20, 1920, in Benton Ridge,
died in 1966.
Survivors include: a son, Rex Ridge
of Bucyrus; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Ruth Ann) Armbruster of Sun
Lake, Ariz; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and six
great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Roger M. Ridge; a great-grandson,
Adam Ridge; a brother, George Hickman; and four sisters, Eva
Dreisbauch, Minnie Munger, Ora Porter and Mabel Hickman, are
deceased.
Mrs. Ridge, a homemaker, formerly
resided at 908 Woodrow Wilson Drive, Fostoria.
She was a member of High Street
United Methodist Church, and the Order of Eastern Star, both

Drive, Fostoria, died at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 1999,
in the Fox Run Manor, Findlay.
He was born in Grand Rapids, Mich.,
Sept. 19, 1913, to Nicholas and Katherine (Steendam) Reens.
On Jan. 30, 1937, he married Virginia M. Eikhoff. She died Dec.
8, 1992.
Surviving are a son, Gary William
Reens of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. John (Gail) Heinsman of
Atlanta, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were
five brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Reens, a member of St. Wendelin
Catholic Church, Fostoria, had been employed as a supervisor
at the Flechtner Packing Co. in Fostoria.
A memorial service will be at 1
p.m. Saturday in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial
will be in Rosdale Memorial Park, Grand Rapids, Mich.

his residence.
Mr. Reinhard was born May 19, 1925,
in Fostoria to John C. and Mildred (Tyson) Reinhard Sr.
He married Margaret L. Deitchman
Aug. 23, 1944, in Fort Smith, Ark. She survives.

C. Reinhard III of Findlay and Brian J. Reinhard of Fostoria;
a daughter, Pamela M. Adams of Wapakoneta; three brothers, Roger
of Fostoria, Art of New Concord, Ray of Arcadia; three sisters,

Crankshaft Corp. in Fostoria in 1983 after more than 31 years.
He was a member of High Street United Methodist Church, Fostoria;
Eagles Club of Fostoria; and was an U. S. Army Veteran of WWII.

Willerd H. Rader, 56, of South
Adams Street, Fostoria, died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug.7,
1999, in Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Fostoria,
to the late Willerd D. and Dorothy M. (Tolles) Rader. On April
6, 1984, in Fostoria, he married Mary M. (Welly) Zickefoos,
who survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: a son,
James W. Rader of Columbia Station; a daughter, Jennifer A.
Rader of Kansas, Ohio; two step-sons, Shannon L. and Jonathon
L. Zickefoos, both of Fostoria; two grandchildren and three
step-grandchildren.
Mr. Rader, a 1960 Fostoria High
School graduate, had been employed at the Norton Manufacturing
Co. in Fostoria since 1994.
He was a member of the United Sportsmen
Club, Eagles and AMVETS.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with
the Rev. Edmond Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in Memory
Gardens, near Arcadia.

Gloria Reiter, 71, of 119 Coe St.,
died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at her daughter's residence
in Fremont.
Mrs. Reiter was born Nov. 23, 1927,
in Fostoria to Fred and Helen (Leech) Morgan.
She married Gene J. Reiter Sr.
July 13, 1949, in Fostoria. He died Aug. 21, 1995.
Surviving are a son Gene J. Reiter
Jr., of Tiffin; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Georgette) Shiets
of Fremont, Mrs. Peter (Gisele) Kuhn of St. Louis, Mo., and
Mrs. Randy (Genise) Swander of Clarksville, Tenn; 13 grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a brother,
Fred Morgan Jr., and a sister, Josephine Beltz.
She was retired from the Tiffin
Developmental Center, where she was an attendant and was a member
of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday in the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael
Grine officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Harvey L. Rock, 70, of 133 Sandusky
St., Fostoria, died in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria,
at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 1999.
He was born June 6, 1929, in Seneca
County, to Harry A. and Lillian (Meyers) Rock. He married Elizabeth
Cornely June 4, 1966, in Fostoria, and they were divorced.
Two stepchildren and nieces and
nephews survive.
Also preceding him in death were
his stepfather, Pete Simonis; and a brother, Edward E. Rock.
Mr. Rock worked for more than 30
years at Norfolk and Southern Railroad as a section laborer,
retiring in 1982.
Graveside services will be at 10:30
a.m. Friday in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, with the Rev. Dale
Neller officiating.

On June 10, 1950, in Ft. Wayne,
Ind., she married Kenneth R. Russell, who died April 30, 1994.
Surviving are one son, Gregory
G. Russell of Fostoria; two daughters: Pamela A. Russell of
Findlay, Mrs. Steve (Debra) Huff of Columbus; seven grandchildren;
one great-granddaughter; two brothers: F. Norbert Filliater
of Fostoria, Donald Filliater of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters:
Mrs. Walter (Helen) Feasel of Fremont, Mrs. Jack (Wilma) Ziegman
of Orrville, and Mrs. Robert (Janice) Colman of Fostoria.
Preceding her in death, in addition
to her husband, were her parents; a brother, William Filliater;
two sisters: Regina Schlachter and Geraldine Canterbury.
Mrs. Russell was a 1948 graduate
of St. Wendelin High School; a homemaker and bookkeeper. She
had memberships in St. Wendelin Catholic Church; Catawba West
Harbor Yacht Club; Fostoria Elks Club; and Women of the Moose,
Port Clinton.
Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m.
Tuesday followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the St.
Wendelin Catholic Church, with burial in Memory Gardens, near
Arcadia.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Monday at
the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian Wake Service
will be at 8:30 p.m.

Agnes A. Risner, 80, died at 9:20
p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at her home on West Lytle Street,
Fostoria.
She was born in Glenroy, Ohio,
March 18, 1919, to William and Ella (Dye) Deck. She first married
Franklin Capehart and they were divorced. Her second husband,
Homer Risner, whom she married in 1960, in Fostoria, died Jan.
13, 1970.
Survivors include: two sons, James
F. Capehart Sr. of Columbus and Robert R. Capehart of Fostoria;
a daughter, Shirley Foster of Fostoria; a sister, Nola Gardner,
also of Fostoria; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were
two sisters, Hazel Haning and Theresa Bowles; and a brother,
Alfred Deck.
Mrs. Risner, a member of the First
Church of the Nazarene, its Mission Society and Prime Time,
Fostoria, retired as an inspector in 1978 from the Autolite
in Fostoria, after 30 years of service.
She also was a member of Eagles
430 Ladies Auxiliary, AARP, the Golden Threads of Fremont, UAW
Local 533 and St. Catherine's Ladies Auxiliary.
The Rev. Russell Gumm will be the
officiant at the 11 a.m. Friday service in the First Church
of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia.

C.R. "Dick" Rousher, 76, of 615
E. Jackson St., Fostoria, died at 12:57 p.m. Thursday, Oct.
14, 1999, at Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 29,
1923, to Clarence D. and Hattie (Finkenbinder) Rousher, both
deceased. In February 1950 he married Estella Collis in Findlay;
she died Dec. 22, 1993.
Survivors include: a daughter,
Mrs. Jane Boerger of Tallahassee, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Preceded in death were: two brothers,
George and Glen Rousher; and a sister, Thelma Rousher.
Mr. Rousher was a U.S. Army veteran
of World War II, he worked for Excello Corporation in Fostoria
as a set-up man, retiring in 1985 after 35 years of employment.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and Council
1197, K of C, Fostoria.

Vera M. Robison, 90, of 16 Ash
St., died at 6:52 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, in the Autumnwood
Care Center, where she had resided since May.
She was born in Fostoria, March
16, 1909, to Henry William and Nell Dela (Mergenthaler) Ecker.
Her husband, Willard Robison, whom she married March 1, 1934,
in Fostoria, preceded her in death in 1966.
Surviving are a step-daughter,
Betty L. Houk of Tiffin, a step-grandson, and two step-great-granddaughters.
A homemaker, Mrs. Robison was a
member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and its United
Methodist Women, Rebekah Lodge 900, Attica; Royal Neighbors
of America; and Church Women United of Seneca County.
She had resided in the Tiffin area
for many years.
The Rev. Gail Angel will be the
officiant at the 2 p.m. Wednesday service in the Turner-Engle
Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

She was born in Burgoon, March
1, 1918, to Irvin H. and Minnie (DeShetler) Niswander. On April
2, 1940, in Fremont, she married Harry E. Reidling, who died
in July 1993.
Survivors include: a son, Roger
Reidling of Houston, Texas; a brother, LaVerne Niswander of
Fostoria; three sisters, Mrs. George (Mildred) Ingram of Fostoria,
Leona Smith of McComb and Mrs. William (Norma) Fillhart, also
of Fostoria; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were
a son, William Reidling; four brothers, Dale, Cloyd, Wilbur
and Robert Niswander; and four sisters, Doris Myers, Margie
Zuern, Thelma Thomas and Ruth Rinebold.
Mrs. Reidling, a homemaker, was
affiliated with Trinity United Brethren Church, Fostoria.

FOSTORIA -- James H. Russell, 84,
formerly of 608 Fifth Ave., Fostoria, died at 9:21 a.m. Friday,
Dec. 10, 1999 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria.
He was born Feb. 19, 1915 in Jackson
Township, Hancock County, to Forest S. and Nettie (Sloan) Russell.
He married Luella A. Powell on Jan. 30, 1936, and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons,
Todd A. and James S., both of Findlay; five grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Clara Monday, Findlay;
Mary Cupp, Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by four
sisters, Ellen Trautman, Irma Cupp, Lillian Snyder and Nellie
Sheller.
Mr. Russell was in the grocery
business in Findlay for 17 years, working for the City Market
and Greener and Edwards Market. He was part owner of the North
Dixie Market. He was employed at Flechtner's Meat Packing Co.
for 27 years, retiring in 1979.
Funeral services will be held at
10 a.m. Monday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, the Rev. J. Scott
Russell officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Marion
Township, Hancock County.

in Bloomville Feb. 6, 1934, to Clarence A. and Violet P. (Lowry)
Firestone. She married Carlton E. "Gene" Routzahn Nov. 27, 1955,
in the First English Lutheran ChurchSurvivors include: her husband;
a son, Jeffrey of Tiffin; a daughter, Mrs. Greg (Cheryl) Anspach
of Tiffin; three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Shirley) Nusbaum and
Judith Thacker, both of Tiffin, Karen Firestone of Fostoria;
and three grandchildren.
Her parents along with a brother,
Gaylord Firestone, preceded her in death.
She was a 1952 Columbian High School
graduate; an accountant at the former Tiffin State Hospital;
and a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

at the Barnes Memorial Chapel at Greenlawn Cemetery with the
Rev. Jan Kucera officiating.

Fostoria, died at his home at 5:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 1999.
He was born in Canton, Aug. 30,
1927, to Otis and Emma (Silvers) Poling. His wife, Luella M.
(Black) Poling, whom he married July 22, 1959, in Kentucky,
preceded him in death Nov. 5, 1997.
Surviving are: a son, Ralph Poling
of Delaware, Ohio; a step-son, Edward Fetro of Fostoria; a step-daughter,
Lilly Gang of Sugargrove, Ohio; a brother, Dewey Poling, also
of Sugargrove; two sisters, Esther Brown of Lancaster and Darlene
Vickroy of New Straightsville, Ohio; eight grandchildren and
a great-grandchild.
Also preceding him in death were
a brother, Boyd C. Poling; and a sister, Stella Woodruff.
A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Poling
retired from the Chrysler Corp.

Russell J. Porter Sr., 83, died

He was born May 1, 1916, in Huntington,
W.Va., to James M. and Betty J. (Holley) Porter. His wife, Gertrude
L. (Carr) Porter, whom he married Dec. 3, 1955, in Toledo, died
April 18, 1994.
Survivors include: three sons,
John H. Crawford of Findlay, Russell J. Porter Jr. of Fostoria
and Carl A. Porter of Bloomdale; a daughter, Mrs. Ted (Mary)
Garner of Fostoria; two brothers, Carl A. Porter of Columbus
and Forest Porter of Bloomingburg; a sister, Bernice Porter
of Columbus; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Porter retired in 1981 as a
laborer from the Union Carbide (now National Electric Carbon)
in Fostoria, after 23 years of employment.
He served in the U.S. Army during
World War II.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday
in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in
Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township, where military graveside rites
will be conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.

Dorothy Lee Piotter, 82, a resident
of St. Catherine's Care Center, 25 Christopher Drive, Fostoria,
died at 3:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, in Fostoria Community
Hospital.
She was born in Ooltewah, Tenn.,
Aug. 11, 1917, to Robert C. and Jane (Hensley) Brown. On Sept.
1, 1943, in Fostoria, she married Ernest E. Piotter, who preceded
her in death April 1, 1970.
Survivors include: three sons,
Raymond E. Piotter of Fostoria, Bobby L. Piotter of Lima and
Paul W. Piotter of Baraboo, Wisc.; a brother, Eugene R. Brown
of McDonald, Tenn.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were
a brother, Oscar Brown; and two sisters, Grace Cook and Thelma
Bramblett.
Mrs. Piotter, a homemaker, attended
Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria.
She had formerly resided on Stinchcomb
