Graveside services for Ronald L. Vitte, 60, of 227 W. Lytle St., Fostoria, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, the Rev. Edmond Zickefoose officiating.

Private family visitation will be at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Mr. Vitte died Thursday morning, May 14, 1998 at his residence.

He was born May 17, 1937 in Fostoria to Frank J. and Goldie M. (Shupe) Vitte. He married Betty Jo Holmes and they were divorced. He then married Sally Lee Bauman and they were divorced.

Surviving are three sons, Dan L. of Mount Gilead; Michael A. and Steven R., both of Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Debra Bernal, Houston; two brothers, James of Fostoria; Richard of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack J., Marvin E. and Robert C.

Mr. Vitte was employed at Norton Manufacturing Co., Fostoria. He retired in 1993 from Atlas Inc., Fostoria, after 38 years of employment.

Richard H. Vogel
Retired from Union Carbide Corp.

Funeral services for Richard H. Vogel, 78, of Fall Street and St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Terry A. Steinhauer officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Vogel died Friday, April 3, 1998 at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born Nov. 20, 1919 in Fostoria to Albert and Gladys H. (Earl) Vogel. He married Carol Williams in 1942, and they were divorced. He married Mabel Fisher on Aug. 26, 1960, and she died May 31, 1972. He then married Betty Bechler on Jan. 2, 1973 in Fostoria, and she died Oct. 13, 1995.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Janise) Fenton, Jean Flugga and Mrs. Larry (Barbara) Ickes, all of Findlay; Mrs. Bill (Sue) Schoenberger, Upper Sandusky; Mrs. William (Sandra) Lentz, Mount Blanchard; two stepsons, Tony and Hientz Bechler, both of Augsburg, Germany; three stepdaughters, Mrs. John (Anna Lisa) Grice, Griffton, N.C.; Mrs. Albert (Inga) Ickes, Bairdstown; Mrs. Thomas (Maria) Moyers, Harrisonburg, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; and a brother, Howard Laney Sr. of Nasalle, Wash.

Mr. Vogel retired in 1979 after 17 years at Union Carbide Corp., now National Electrical Carbon Corp., Fostoria. He also worked 24 years, from 1940-65, for the B&O Railroad.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of VFW Post 421 and Dillon Road Baptist Church, both of Fostoria.

Garnet E. Vroman
Former homemaker

Garnet E. Vroman, 87, of 25 Christopher Drive, died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria, where she resided.

She was born in Bedford County, Pa., March 16, 1911, to Wilson and Pearl Ellenberger. On March 22, 1929, in Continental, she married Orvis W. Vroman. He died Sept. 1, 1963.

Surviving are: three sons, Richard Vroman of Camden, Mich., Herbert Vroman of Columbus and Bill Vroman of Fostoria; a daughter, Janice Vroman of Fremont; three brothers, Fred and James Ellenberger, both of Burgoon and Wilson Ellenberger of Fremont; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Hilma Vroman; a brother, Shell Ellenberger; and two sisters, Gail Holt and Gladys Flora, also are deceased.

Mrs. Vroman was a homemaker.

The Rev. Russell Gumm will be the officiant at the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, near Burgoon.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Alfred N. Wagner
Atlas-Cummings Inc. retiree

Alfred N. Wagner, 67, died early Saturday morning, Dec. 26, 1998, at his residence at 3536 CH 97, Carey.

He was born July 5, 1931, in Seneca County, to the late Alfred F. and Dorothy V. (Kirian) Wagner. His wife, Martha C. (Frey) Wagner, whom he married June 7, 1952, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kirby, survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. James (Diane) Junga of Ann Arbor, Mich.; three sons, Dennis Wagner of Marion, Edward Wagner of Findlay and Joseph Wagner of Raymond; 11 grandchildren; and five sisters and brothers, Mrs. Gerald (Marie) Frey of Kirby, Mrs. Lloyd (Doris) Weinandy of Alvada, Eugene Wagner of New Riegel and Mrs. Dale (JoAnn) Hoepf and Mrs. Richard (Anna) Wright, both ofTiffin.

A sister, Eileen Arbogast, is deceased.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Wagner retired in 1986 from Atlas-Cummings Inc. of Fostoria, where he had been employed for 30 years. He then worked for Precision Gears in Charleston, S.C. as a consultant and as a carpenter for RKT Construction, Kirby.

He was a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Carey, where he had served on both the Parish Council and the Parish School Advisory Board and as an usher and lector.

A 1949 graduate of New Riegel High School, he also was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1925, Carey, where he had served as past grand knight, 4th Degree K of C past faithful navigator of Archbisop Schremb's Assembly, Tiffin; American Legion Post 344, Carey and the 148th Infantry Veterans Association, where he had served as president.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, with the Rev. Peter Damian Massengill as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey, where military graveside services will be conducted by the veteran's organization.

Visitation at the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey, will be 2-9 p.m. Monday, where the Rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. and a Scripture service will be at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Wyandot County Unit of the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Randal R. Wagner, Jr.
Retired Fostoria IGA meatcutter

Randal R. Wagner Jr., 73, of 203 Seneca Ave., Fostoria, died in Fostoria Community Hospital 9 a.m. Sunday, May 10, 1998.

He was born in Dupont, Ohio, Sept. 12, 1924, to Randal R. Wagner and Eunice (Gattshall) Wagner-Smith. His wife, Cletus Y. (Winkle) Wagner, whom he married June 13, 1946, in Continental, survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: a son, Steve C. Wagner of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Linda) Baldauf of Lima; two grandsons; and two brothers, Verlin ''Tony'' Wagner of Bloomdale and Richard A. Wagner of Cridersville.

A brother, Don Wagner, is deceased.

Mr. Wagner was the former owner of Wagner Market in Dupont for 13 years then worked as a meatcutter with Wagner IGA in Fostoria for 31 years.

A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was a former member of Dupont United Methodist Church, a former school bus driver for Continental Schools, and a member of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio Lodge 570, Continental, the

Continental Chapter 129 Order Eastern Star and Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria.

Services in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria Chapel, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Branson J. Hawkes of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dupont, where graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Terry Porter of Dupont Brethern Church and military graveside rites will be conducted by the Continental American Legion Post.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Robert L. "Randy" Wagner
Retired Allied Signal supervisor

Robert L. ''Randy'' Wagner, 72, of North Union Street, Fostoria, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, at Medical College of Ohio, Toledo.

He was born March 13, 1926, in Parkersburg, W.Va., to the late Walter and Jessie (South) Wagner. On Oct. 16, 1948, in Fostoria, he married Gloria O. Goodale. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Robin Wagner, and a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Jodi) Walters, both of Fostoria; two grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Wagner of Fostoria; and a sister, Dorothy Pressler of Port Clinton.

Preceding him in death were a brother, Charles Wagner, and a sister, Lela Knepper.

Mr. Wagner was a 1944 graduate of Fostoria High School and attended the University of Toledo. He retired in 1978 as a supervisor of shipping and receiving from Allied Signal, after 30 years. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of Fostoria American Legion Post 73.

The family will have a private funeral with the Rev. Russell Gumm officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Vistiation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Fern L. (Hinsch) Walker
Seamstress

Fern L. (Hinsch) Walker, 88, 725 Columbus Ave., Fostoria died at 1:45 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Fostoria Community Hospital. She was born April 6, 1910, to Clarence D. and Etta (Robinson) Hinsch. On June 9, 1929, she married Westcott Walker in Defiance. He died June 9, 1980.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Sue Ellen Somorsky of Toledo, Mrs. Edward (Nana) Pages of Illinois, Mrs. Sharon K. Fuller of Tiffin, and Mrs. Jack (Beulah) Young of Hicksville, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were a son, Charles D. Walker; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Anita) Ault; three brothers, Ralph, Kenneth, and Mervin Hinsch; and a sister, Vanda Appel.

Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Mark Center High School in Defiance County. She was a seamstress for 14 years with Bill's Men's and Boys' Wear, Fostoria, retiring in 1965. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fostoria.

The Rev. R. Edson Reed will officiate the 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 15, 1998, service at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be at Memory Gardens, Arcadia.

Visitation hours are from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 1998, at the funeral home.

Fostoria homemaker

Mable Wallace, 75, of 1076 Apt. A., Carrie Lane, Fostoria, died in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay, at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998.

She was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Lockport, N.Y., to Charles W. and Bertha M. (Arrasmith) Groves. Her husband, Robert E. Wallace Sr., whom she married April 27, 1946, in Fostoria, died Jan. 14, 1989.

Survivors include: three sons, Robert E. Jr., Bradley K. and Bruce K. Wallace, all of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Julie) Vitt and Laura M. Gehr, both of Fostoria; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a grandson, Robbie Wallace; two brothers, Clyde and Earl Groves; and two sisters, Ruth Pence and Elsie Russell.

A homemaker, Mrs. Wallace enjoyed doing crafts and working with ceramics.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria Chapel. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia.

Visitation at the funeral home is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.

Carrie Elizabeth Walsh
Homemaker/former restaurant employee

Carrie Elizabeth Walsh, 78, of 125 E. Jones St., Fostoria, died in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo, at 3:09 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998.

She was born in Putnam County, Jan. 5, 1920, the daughter of Albert R. and Irma (Brecht) Parker. On Aug. 8, 1938, in Whitley County, Ind., she married Robert L. Walsh. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1998.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Janet Sue) Hossler of Fostoria and Mrs. Laszlo (Roberta Rae) Nemeth of Melbourne, Fla.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Carolyn K. Walsh; a sister, Geraldine ''Catherine'' Brenner; and a brother, Ray J. Parker.

A homemaker, Mrs. Walsh also was a former kitchen worker at Dell's Restaurant in Fostoria.

She was a member of Fostoria Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses.

Visitation at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be 11 a.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. Saturday. Elder Tim Powell will officiate.

Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Homemaker and a Retired Farmer

Funeral services for Reba M. Walsh, 82, of 9343 Ohio 12 West, Findlay, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, the Rev. Lowell Reeder officiating. Burial will be in Benton Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walsh died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998, at her residence.

She was born May 3, 1916 in Fostoria to Francis E. and Margaret (Zickefoose) Reidling. She married Henry F. Walsh on Dec. 24, 1935, and he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Arlene L. Thompson, Pinellas Park, Fla.; Mrs. Richard E. (Audrey J.) Wolfe, Findlay; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; and a sister, Gertrude Brant, Toledo.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry H.; seven brothers, Ora, Burl, Earl, Orville, Charles, Carl and Harry Reidling; and two sisters, Dianna Cole and Gladys Jennings.

Mrs. Walsh was a homemaker and a retired farmer. In the past she had also worked at Roppe Rubber in Fostoria and at the Arcadia High School cafeteria.

She was a member of West Independence United Methodist Church.

James F. Watson
Atlas Crankshaft retiree

Former Fostoria resident, James F. Watson, 68, a four-year resident of the Ohio Veteran's Home, Sandusky, died at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, in Providence Hospital, Sandusky.

Born April 13, 1930, in Springfield, to the late Burris G. and Helen (Landis) Watson Sr., he married Kathleen A. ''Kathy'' Babb, July 14, 1967, in Tiffin. She survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are four sons, James, Robert, Mark and Thomas Watson, all of Texas; three step-brothers, Mike Smith of Millerstown, Gary Smith of Wapakoneta and Wayne Smith of Michigan; and three step-sisters, Sue Yoder of Urbana, Persilla Goodwich of Brooklyn, Mich. and Kay Koffee of North Carolina.

His step-mother, Parthenia ''Pat'' Watson; a brother, Burris Watson Jr.; and a step-brother, Bob Bailey, are deceased.

Mr. Watson, a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, retired from Atlas Crankshaft, Fostoria, after 28 years of employment.

A 1948 graduate of Springfield Catholic Central High School, he was a life member of both American Legion Post 73, Fostoria and VFW Post 2858, Tiffin.

A funeral Mass in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rosary recited at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Fostoria American Legion, VFW and AMVETS.

Visitation at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, where a Christian Wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.

Mildred E. Walters
Retired Autolite employee

Mildred E. Walters, 86, of Glenwood Ave., Fostoria, died at 12:40 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. She was born August 14, 1912, in Monroeville to Frank W. and Stella (Liest) Ziegler. On Dec. 20, 1936, she married Byron B. Walters in Fostoria; he died Dec. 25, 1965.

Surviving is her sister, Helen Smith of Zanesville, Ohio.

Preceding her in death were two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Walters Retired in 1965 from Autolite (now Allied Signal Corporation), after 30 years of employment. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria, and the U.A.W. Local 533.

The Rev. Branson J. Hawkes will officiate the 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, service at the Harrold-Florianna Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation hours are 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at the funeral home.

Florence A. Weimerskirk
Former Arrow Lane resident

Florence A. Weimerskirk, 94, formerly of 10 Arrow Lane, died at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, in St. Francis Home.

She was born Jan. 23, 1904, in Fostoria, to Louis and Sabina (Solari) Botto. On May 28, 1940, in Notre Dame Chapel, Notre Dame, Ind., she married Howard E.Weimerskirk. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1998.

Surviving are a nephew, James E. Boulboulle of Fostoria; a niece, Brenda Weimerskirch of Tiffin; and several great nieces and nephews.

A sister, Helen B. Boulboulle, is also deceased.

Mrs. Weimerskirk, a St. Wendelin High School graduate, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society and Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.

A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, where the rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. Msgr. Edward Dunn will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the funeral Mass on Saturday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Mildred B. "Pat" Welker
Retired homemaker

Mildred B. ''Pat'' Welker, 88, died at 3:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, in the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, where she resided.

Born Nov. 5, 1909, in Fostoria, to Joseph and Ellen (Kuhn) O'Malley, she married William R. Welker, Sept. 5, 1933, in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. He preceded her in death in 1973.

Survivors include: a son, William L. Welker of Maumee; three daughters, Barbara Ellen Welker of Parma Heights, M. Suzanne Gloyd of Inverness, Fla. and Marilyn L. Welker of Columbus; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Three sisters and a brother also are deceased.

A homemaker, Mrs. Welker was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society, Circle of Mercy, Daughers of Isabella, Emblem Club, Fostoria Woman's Club and the Secular Franciscan Order.

A funeral Mass in St. Wendelin Catholic Church will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, where the Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. and a Wake service is at 8:30 p.m.

Vince Joshia Wheeler
Infant son

Vince Joshia Wheeler, 13 days, of Beier Drive, Fostoria, died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 1998, at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born April 24, 1998, in Findlay, to Pamela (Lorah) Wheeler of Fostoria, who survives.

Also surviving are: a brother, Douglas Wheeler of Wooster; a sister, Tiffany Wheeler of Tiffin; and his maternal grandfather, Charles Lorah of Fostoria.

The Rev. David A. Bliss of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arcadia, will officiate at graveside services at 10 a.m. Monday at Memory Gardens in Arcadia, Ohio.

There is no visitation. The Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, is in charge of arrangements.

Joe L. "Whit" Whitmire
FHS groundskeeper/maintenance man

Joe L. ''Whit'' Whitmire, 55, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at his residence at 101 Bradner St., Fostoria.

He was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Spartanburg County, Woodruff, S.C., to the late Evans and Minyond (Parks) Whitmire. On Sept. 27, 1964, in Laurens, S.C., he married Grace Martin. She survives in Washington, D.C.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jeremy Martin of Oxon Hill, Md., and Gregory Lewis of Forestville, Md.; a daughter, Jessie Patrice Whitmire of Temple Hills, Md.; six grandchildren; seven brothers, Reuben Parks of Fostoria, Author J., Richard E. Jr. and James Whitmire, all of Cincinnati, David L. Whitmire of Washington, D.C. and Lee and Charles Whitmire, both of Woodruff; and two sisters, Frances and Ann Whitmire, both of Woodruff.

Mr. Whitmire, a maintenance man and groundskeeper at the FHS football stadium, had been employed by the Fostoria City Schools for 25 years.

A graduate of New Bethel High School, Woodruff, he attended and was baptized in the New Bethel Baptist Church, Woodruff.

Services in the First Baptist Church, Fostoria, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. T.A. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Fostoria Redmen Club.

Alfred L. Wilson, Sr.
Retired truck driver

Alfred L. Wilson Sr., 76, of 234 W. Center St., Fostoria, was dead on arrival at noon Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born in Marion March 3, 1922, to Joseph and Laura (Stickey) Wilson. His wife, Anna (Varganin) Wilson, is deceased.

Survivors include: four sons, Charles Wilson of Tiffin, Alfred Wilson Jr. of Bucyrus, Joseph Wilson of Old Fort and Timothy Wilson of Fostoria; three daughters, Joyce Wilson of Adrian, Mich., Mary Frances Wilson of New York and Laura Gillan of Warren; three grandchildren; and a sister.

Preceding him in death were a brother, Howard Wilson; and a sister.

A retired truck driver, Mr. Wilson was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Formerly of Bettsville, he had lived in Fostoria for several years.

There will be no services. Visitation for the family will be private. The Turner-Engle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

David E. Wilson

Funeral services for former Fostoria resident David Earl Wilson, 57, of Danville, Ind., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Danville Christian Church, Danville, Ind. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, Ind.

Mr. Wilson died of natural causes Saturday, July 18, 1998 at Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville, Ind.

He was born April 21, 1941 in Indianapolis, Ind., to Hubert and Virginia (Harbaugh) Wilson. His mother survives in Indianapolis. He married Janice A. McIntosh, who also survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Phillip B. and David B., both of Indianapolis; Anthony L. in Columbus, Ohio; Gregory of Okinawa, Japan; two guardian children, Dwayne and Jody Barfell, both in the Findlay area; a stepson, Aaron Cupp, Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Laurie A. (Cupp) Rohrer, Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Delores (Wilson) Edwards, Indianapolis, Ind.

Mr. Wilson was vice president of Danville State Bank/Merchants Bank. He was also a real estate agent in Avon, Ind.; a security officer for Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville, Ind.; former office manager of Gilbert Tools, Indianapolis; and a former purchasing agent for Atlas Inc., Fostoria.

He was a U.S. Army captain and served in Germany and Vietnam.

He was a member and choir director of Danville Christian Church. He was a member of the Lima Symphony choir, Toledo Symphony choir and Indianapolis Symphony choir, and the Stuttgart Opera in Germany. In Fostoria he was a former director of Junior Achievement and was named Mr. Junior Achievement in 1977. He was a member of the Lions, Rotary and Optimist clubs in Avon, Ind.

He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1963 and left the area in 1977. He also graduated from John Adams High School, Cleveland.

Cory S. Woessner
Findlay student

Cory S. Woessner, 17, of Findlay, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, April 26, 1998, in St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born Sept. 10, 1980, in Fostoria, the son of Sam Hammons and Debra Woessner. His father survives in Fremont and his mother in Findlay.

Other survivors include: grandparents, Ralph Woessner of Lindsey and Betty Burton of Lima; four brothers, Sam Jr. and Raymond Hammons, both of Fremont, Russell Hammons of Clyde and Roy Hammons of Old Fort; six sisters, Patsy Estep of Port Clinton, Glady King and Heather Hammons, both of Fremont and Joan Miller, Maggie Knipp and Donna Miller, all of Clyde; numerous nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.

A sister, Christine Hammons, is deceased.

He was a student.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Findlay Chapel, where services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Oak Wood Cemetery, Fremont.

Delores Ann Wolfelt
Sister of Fostoria residents

Delores Ann Wolfelt, 56, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, May 24, 1998, at her residence at South Fifteenth St., Vincennese, Ind.

She was born in Fostoria, Nov. 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Rodney Ross Braman and Violet Patterson. Her husband, Harold Wolfelt, died Jan. 7, 1975.

Survivors include: two sons, Randy Shank of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Michael King of Traverse City, Mich.; two daughters, Tabatha and Michelle King, both of Traverse City; a brother, Allen Braman of Fostoria; a sister, Mrs. Buzz (Judy) Hollinger of Fostoria; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Rodney J. and Gary Braman, are deceased.

Mrs. Wolfelt, a homemaker, attended Fostoria High School.

She was a member of Vincennes Senior Citizens, Vincennes American Legion and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Graveside services in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, are 1 p.m. today, with the Rev. Paul Myers officiating.

There will be no visitation. The Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Robert N. "Bob" Zender
Roppe Corp. retiree

Robert N. ''Bob'' Zender, 45, 712 W. North St., Fostoria, died at 8:53 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 1998, at his residence.

He was born in Tiffin Feb. 25, 1953, to Eugene Albert and Doris ''Tiny'' (Humbert) Zender. His mother survives in Fostoria. His former wife, Joy Rice, also survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Briana and Britany Zender, both of Fostoria; a son, Buddy Zender of Fostoria; three brothers, Eugene A. Zender of Findlay, Joseph E. Zender of Fostoria and John A. Zender of Booker, Texas; and five sisters, Jan M. Swisher, Janet M. Smith, Jane M. Paxton and Jeanine M. Patterson, all of Fostoria, and Janice M. Brossia of Findlay.

His father preceded him in death.

Mr. Zender, a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, retired from the Roppe Corp., where he had been employed as a carpenter.

He also was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1197, Fostoria.

A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where the Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-9 p.m. today at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian Wake service will be at 8:30.
