""Beyond Suspicion" or "Auggie Rose" rated R An insurance salesman's(Jeff Goldblum) humdrum existence takes a different route when an ex-con, Auggie Rose (Kim Coates) gets shot in a convenience store in front of him. Jane's conservative son, Sam (Christain Bale) and his fiance, Alex (Kate Beckingsale) decide to move to Los Angeles after they graduate from Harvard. "Joe and Max" rated pg-13. The true story of boxers Joe Louis (Leonard Roberts) and Max Schmeling (Til Schweiger) and their lasting friendship. It takes place during world war II and Max is from Germany. They have a couple of fights but the war has started and Hitler has his own ideas about Max fighting. "The Man from Elysian Fields" rated R. Byron Tiller (Andy Garcia) is a struggling writer who has one book published, not a success, and an unquestioning wife (Julianna Marguilies) who never questions. Running out of money, Bryon decides to enter a different line of work, an escort service, run by Luther (Mick Jagger), who has an office by his. "The Crime of Padre Amaro" rated R. Subtittled. A newly ordained peist, Father Amaro (Gael Garcia Bernal) travels to Los Reyes to help Father Benito (Sanco Garcia) with his duties in the church. Once there, he meets Amelia (Ana Claudia Talancon) a beautiful 16 year old with whom he falls in love. He refuses to make their relationship public but uncovers a reltionship between Benito and a local drug lord. Father Amaro had a lot of turmoil in his life and does not deal with it very well. Written by Vicente Lenero and directed by Carlos Carrera.
"Texas Rangers" rated pg-13. After the Civil War, Texas leader Leander McNelly )Dylan McDermott) is chosen to lead a group of heroes to fame. One of the men is Lincoln Rogers Dunnison (James Van Der Beek) who seeks revengs agains those who killed his family. They risk their lives to save their homeland from an army of renegade outlaws let by John King Fisher (Alfred Molina). A true western, lots of action but a little hard to follow. Also stars Rachael Leigh Cook, Ashton Kutcher, Robert Patrick, and Randy Travis. Written by Scott Busby and Martin Copeland, directed by Steve Miner.
"Master Spy: The Robert Hanssen Story. Rated R. Based on a true story, Robert P Hanssen (William Hurt) betrays his family, friends, and country by turning over secrets to the enemy for many, many years. Gets into his past and what shaped his life. A little hard to follow but interesting story. Also stars Peter Boyle, Mary-Louise Parker, David Strathairn, and Ron Silver. Written by Norman Mailer and directed by Lawrence Schiller.
